Loremiahow long did you use the old multicooker?
Do you have a 5005 model? I have never heard about the handle to break off ((
Loremia
obezya, In 2013 I bought 5005. A little daughter poured milk into the heating tool, there were a lot of crossings, so she probably could not stand it). Ordered, the old one will go to the dacha for permanent residence)

how long did you use the old multicooker?

I have been using the multicooker model 5005 since their release since 2012 - I have no complaints, in work to this day

Since the old 2012 models had problems with the cover, I had to change it to a new one (I bought it on the website) and there were no more problems.
Please note that the 2012 models had problems with the covers. Then this problem was eliminated by the manufacturer.
Therefore, when buying a multicooker model 5005, check the year of release.
Marpl
I wrote about Orson 5015, and the 5005 is even cheaper. I took MV 5015, she is Korea and 2013.

I brought my saucepan home. When buying, I looked at everything, and at home I peeled off the film from the screen and found a small chip (((I called the store, they said they would return only through the quality control service. which does not affect the functionality, but the sediment is not pleasant ... What do you think about this?

I didn’t notice such nonsense either, but after reading your message I looked at all mine with a magnifying glass and I have the same corner. It probably happened when molding plastics. I don’t bother, it’s just the cladding, you will notice it only by looking closely at everything.

Lord, that sweet word "discount"!
I don't need another pressure cooker, especially a green one))
But! 4700! But! I have a green fermenter, also bought for the stock!))

I read the topic and think

While you are thinking, the discount will end, and the green pressure cooker will come in handy on the farm, especially since it can become a MB.

Does anyone cook porridge in the morning with water? What settings?
Anastasenok
obezya, program Porridge, valve "3", standard time. Buckwheat for example 1: 2
obezya
Just the porridge regimen usually means crumbly porridge for a side dish. In the multicooker Oursson 5002, I cooked porridge on the Soup mode (it seems I read this advice on this forum), then it turned out to be boiled. Unfortunately, I do not remember at what pressure these modes worked. I think that in model 5015 you can try the Cook program.
Marpl
The porridge is not only crumbly, it all depends on how much liquid you add. I cooked corn porridge according to this recipe and the porridge turned out to be thin, next time I will reduce the water by 1mst.
recipe-
1mst cereals
3mst milk
3mst water
4 tsp sugar
1 spoonful of salt
Porridge mode, 40 minutes, pressure1
obezya
Marpl, did you try to cook porridge at pressure 3? What is the difference for cereals ...
Marpl
Above, Tatiana gave a link, which indicates when to apply what pressure. So there - milk porridge, cereals on the water, then pressure 1 (moisture preservation), and 2 pressure for hard cereals.
Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=183259.0
I tried to cook pearl barley porridge with onions and carrots at a pressure of 3, but without prolonged soaking of the cereals.
The recipe is such - rinse well 1 mst of cereals and pour boiling water over for 1 hour. Cut the onion head and fry it with grated carrots in vegetable oil. When the cereal has already steamed, we put it to the fried vegetables, add 2 mst of water (I poured it at room temperature), salt (1 tsp), close the lid, porridge mode, pressure 3, for 55 minutes. It turned out to be an excellent porridge. If you leave it hot after cooking, the cooking time can be reduced. The finished porridge turned out to be 1/4 of the height of the bowl.

Today I made a biscuit, it turned out fine, but it was possible to go up a little more ...

Is the corn cooked well? It is usually cooked longer ... Then for wheat / barley porridge, you can probably reduce the time.
Marpl
The corn porridge cooked fine, but was a little thin. I am still trying different recipes in this MB. Usually I put the porridge to cook before going to bed, the porridge is cooked and is heated until morning. Then this amount of liquid would have been normal, but I opened the corn porridge after cooking, it did not even stand on heating.
obezya
The porridge was cooked well, you can even reduce the time by 5 minutes or put pressure 1.
Marpl
The description says that at D1 the pressure is 0.3, at D2 -0.5, and at D3 -0.7. That is, D2 and D3 are the same as in Shteba, which means that the recipes from her should also come up, only the time here shows completely (working time + for raising and lowering pressure), and in Shteba only working time.

What do you think about that?
They brought a green multicooker, upon examination, I found a small dot in the same place, if you look closely. This is insignificant for me.
I'm glad I managed to get it at such a price! Thank you, Marpl

obezya, program Porridge, valve "3", standard time. Buckwheat for example 1: 2
I put the buckwheat in the same way, reduced the time to 30 minutes, since I poured hot water. Buckwheat is terribly digested))) I will probably cook side dishes at pressure 1, as written in the instructions.

And yet, I don't understand with pressure relief ... After the end of the Porridge program, the lid is blocked, that is, it turns out that the pressure release is not included in the total cooking time, although by turning the valve lever, steam began to be released at pressure 1, either it has already dropped to one, or it did not reach 3 at all)) After the steam stopped flowing, the lid remained blocked, I pressed the metal "pipette" (which indicates that there is still pressure inside), a certain amount of steam still came out next to it, and only then I was able to open the lid, for all this It took me at least 5 minutes ... After how long does it reset itself then ??
I somehow do not like this moment, the multicooker squeaked that everything is ready, but I cannot open it yet, it is not known how much and there is no signal when the pressure is released, I have to come up and look at this "pip".
And it's bad that there is no indicator to see how much pressure is in the saucepan.
Admin

Pay attention, on different programs the pressure relief goes differently, watch this and remember these points. There are programs where the pressure begins to release itself gradually during the cooking process, gradually approaching zero.

Yes, in PURPOSE mode, the pressure is released after there is a signal about the end of the program. The pressure release time is about 10-15 minutes, and it is not included in the time limit directly for cooking.
The pressure build-up time is also not considered. Only clean cooking times.

the multicooker squeaked that everything was ready, but I could not open it yet - here extra time is given for the porridge to be infused, ripe, and during this time the pressure is released.

The instructions have a scale of 0-1-2-3 and what pressure this corresponds to - look there.

It is better to use this data from the instructions At what pressure are we going to cook? (Oursson pressure cooker)

The slow cooker is good, you just need to get used to it, like to any new device, try to understand its actions
obezya
Admin, Yes you are right. You always involuntarily start comparing with other models)) Thank you for your answer! I read your recipe for buckwheat with rice, I'll try to set the pressure to 2 for 30 minutes.

Buckwheat is badly digested
I cook buckwheat as it is written in the recipe book. I immediately double the portion, because it turns out very well. Mine really like it. I try not to leave on Heating, because it starts to dry out.
Marpl
I also cooked buckwheat according to the proposed recipe and I liked the result. And I see no reason to reinvent the wheel. But if I personally didn’t like the result, then I would have experimented to achieve what I needed. It seems to me that you first need to try ready-made recipes, and then make adjustments to your liking. And comparing different units is also not logical - they are different and can also cook in different ways. And we choose the one that suits us best. There is no limit to perfection.

Buckwheat turns out great in Orsyusha. You just need to learn how to select the correct ratio of water and cereals.

Sometimes it is useful to use an already invented bicycle, our recipes and tips in the section
Oursson MP5005 and MP5015 pressure cooker recipes

A lot has already been prepared, commented on and you can take it as a basis and go further into development with your own ideas

And we had in the section a good rule - cooked, got a good result - post the recipe on the forum, describe it and the method of preparation in the multicooker of this model Everyone will benefit from this

And it is desirable to keep this rule in the future.
RepeShock

Buckwheat does not need to be poured with hot water, the groats are quite tender.
And it is better to fill the rest of the cereals with water at room temperature.
And the main thing, of course, when cooking cereals is proportions.

Loremia
Yesterday I cooked buckwheat with rice. Fast, tasty, husband demanded 2 servings Although usually he doesn't like buckwheat. My daughter also ate with pleasure. Program porridge, pressure 2, poured cold water, cooking time 30 minutes.

For me, there is only one drawback of a multicooker - baking, even though you crack, is not as lush as in Cook, Shteba or Panasonic
And I bought the second Orusson only because only in it I get a gorgeous VNK biscuit.

It's a shame about baking ...
obezya
Today I cooked corn in water - proportions 1 to 4, pressure 3 for 30 minutes, it was heated for more than an hour. It turned out great!
Moreover, in other multicooker, it was corn that turned out at the bottom in a dense layer, on top it was liquid, I had to mix it thoroughly. And in Ourson there is beauty!

Hello everyone!
Tell me about a discount on a multicooker. Do I understand correctly on the site it is for 4990?
Loremia
Margareth, on which website? I bought on the WB for 4674 rubles, now it shows me 5309 rubles.
Margareth
Loremia, I followed the links from this topic and realized that on Wilberies model 5015 for 5400 rubles, and on Boom-TV 5005 for 5000 rubles. But in the descriptions they have confusion ... Somewhere they attribute 5005 45 programs, somewhere they write what was done in China
obezya
Margareth, it's just that now the stock is different, that's why the price has changed.

Olekmahow long do you cook? 50 minutes?
Loremia
Margareth, I have both green multicookers, put them side by side and compare: the inscriptions are brighter, the display color is more pleasant for the 5015, the 5005 has a dimmer display. In 5015 I fried chicken on the "Fry" program, it turned out a good golden brown crust, in 5005 this crust was obtained only on the "Bake" program (IMHO).
Margareth

the inscriptions are more visible, the color of the display is more pleasant in 5015
and additional modes are noticeable in 5015? there are 4 times more of them than 5005
Loremia
MargarethWhat I mean by the words - 45 automatic cooking programs are 11 modes x 4 pressure levels, 44 programs + yoghurt = 45 programs.
Was: simmer, steam, fry, boil, stew, roast, porridge, roast, baked goods, drinks, yogurt, your choice.
Now: roast, steamed, stew, boil, fry, sauce, porridge, cutlets, pastries, drinks, yogurt, your choice.
Added "sauce" and "cutlets". Removed "simmer" and "roast".

True, beige was no longer on the WB, so it will be dark red
Marpl
And the biggest discounts were for green and burgundy, the rest were either more expensive or they were not available.
obezya
Tell me about the pressure: after the end of the program, I smoothly turn the pressure lever to 0, after the steam stops flowing, the lid is still blocked, that is, there is still steam / pressure inside! Is this how it should be or is it a marriage?
Marpl
Watch the video about this pressure cooker, you can see that when the lever is smoothly set to 0, the steam comes out and the button goes down, so there is no more pressure and you can open it.

put on Baking for 53-54 minutes.

Olekma, I will wait! Itself several times baked in Orsyusha Pie "Gingerbread man for jam". The jam is over, I don't bake anymore
Olekma
Well, without putting it on the back burner, I baked Vanilla biscuit on boiling water.
4 eggs
200gr. Sahara
168 g of premium flour (I brought out this weight for my flour, according to the recipe there is 164 g of flour)
3 tablespoons boiling water
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
a pinch of crystalline vanillin
8 gr. baking powder
Beat sugar and eggs at high speed for at least 10 minutes, add boiling water, butter. In a separate bowl, combine flour + baking powder + vanillin. Add flour with a spoon, not with a mixer!

There was not enough test in the bowl until the MAX mark was about 1.5 cm. (Suddenly the battery on the camera sat down, could not capture)
here you can see, I hope

And I ordered a green one on WB, I doubted for a long time, but the price tag is certainly a fairy tale, and this is the color I wanted.

I will master it slowly. Although honestly - I actively use only the cuckoo

Congratulations on your purchase. The second unit will definitely not hurt, especially since he cooks decently. And the porridge is generally gorgeous. I started my acquaintance with them and so far I like everything.

I found one video where it seems like right after the steam hiss stops, the lid lock regulator goes down and you can open it, but I don't have it right away, but you still need to wait a few minutes. It seems that the valve does not open completely ... So I wanted to know if anyone else has it? Maybe you can fix it yourself?
Marpl
Based on your questions, this is your first pressure cooker. In any CB, after a forced release of pressure, there is always some pressure and the lid is opened with force, and if the CB is closed again immediately after opening, then there will be a feeling that the lid is under pressure again. You can clean the valve yourself, in the description everything is described in detail and with drawings.
