Christmas gingerbread

Ingredients

eggs 2 pcs.
powdered sugar 190 g
honey 120 g
margarine 125 g
flour 500 g
soda 1 tsp
ground spices (cinnamon, cloves, sweet peas, cardamom) 1-2 tbsp. l. (based on personal preference)
orange or lemon zest

Cooking method

  • Melt margarine and honey beforehand. Redeem soda in honey. The dough can be kneaded in a food processor by placing all the ingredients in a bowl at once. Leave the finished dough to rest in the cold for 1 hour. Roll out the gingerbread 5-10mm thick. Bake on a greased baking sheet or baking paper for 5 minutes (my baking time was longer). After baking, grease while still hot with an egg, shaken with 1 tablespoon of strong black coffee. Allow to cool. Decorate according to your mood :)

The cooking process is very simple, it takes a little time, which is important in the pre-holiday whirlwind. The dough is obedient, the gingerbread cookies are neat, they are very nicely rounded during baking. Very fragrant, stay soft for a long time.

As for the spices more specifically, I took a cinnamon stick, 10 cloves, 6-7 allspice peas, 5-7 boxes of cardamom and 1 orange zest.
