A quote from the instruction, p. 12:
This program [this is about the "Groats" mode] is automatic, the cooking time is determined by the amount of cereal and water
It is not recommended to open the multicooker in such modes, but if you really need it, you can open it once.
In general, I do not recommend opening the multicooker often while cooking in any mode - this way there will be less condensation

On April 7, at 10.55 on NTV, the program "Miracle of Technology" will feature a story about the preparation of pilaf in MB Brand 502. Surely someone will be interested in watching, and someone will be helped to make the choice of MB.

automatic programs automatically detect the end of the cooking time evaporation of liquid,
and not after pledged time
Vika, sorry, but it isn't. Automatic the program is not equivalent sensory (for example, such as "PLOV" in PANASONIK)!
They talked about this a lot both on this site and on a friendly one. I was convinced of this from my own experience for 2.5 years of cooking in various modifications of BRAND 37500. No matter how much liquid is poured, it will not evaporate during the operation of the automatic program. Alas...

But the additional bowl acquired later smells incredible !!! As soon as I opened the box, I immediately felt a pungent chemical smell, somewhat reminiscent of the richness of the smell of building varnish. I haven't used the bowl yet, I haven't even washed it, I quickly put it on the balcony for airing ...
Conclusion - different parties, different quality ??? The question is - couldn't SUPOR "attach" a part of the order somewhere on the side?

I also ordered an extra. cup to 37502, but having carefully examined it at the point of issue, did not dare to pick it up ...

The quality of replacement bowls for 502/37502 really differs greatly from the complete ones for the worse. If you put them side by side, then the regular one looks like a real factory, and the replaceable one looks like an artisanal one.
Firstly, it does not have an even coating on the outside, it looks more like bare metal with stripes from grinding - this is the first time I see this. All the multicooker bowls that I used to hold in my hands (even the cheapest Viscount for 1.5 tons) had a neat finish on the outside: black, brown, gray.
Further, the internal non-stick coating looks more like a glossy black paint, which is applied in a thicker layer than on a regular bowl, and smells quite strongly of paint and varnish materials.
In general, it made an unpleasant impression on me as a cheap Chinese product, unsafe for health, in contrast to the complete one, which looks decent and does not smell.

Song*, did airing help?

do you get rice? today I set rice to cook on the standard cereal program, poured water even less than it should be ... but the rice turned out to be overcooked and became like porridge ... can it be possible to set up the program for cooking rice with manual settings? Has anyone tried it or everyone is good at rice
thank you in advance
Vei

Any rice will be slightly sticky if not parboiled. In any case, it must be rinsed in cold water from 5 to 7 times (depending on the volume and grade) until the water becomes clear, the most optimal proportions are indicated on the bowl. That is, for example, 2 mst of rice was washed, put in a bowl and water was added to mark 2. As a rule, this turns out to be 1 to 1 ... Maybe a little more water with round rice ... If you then hold the rice on heating for 15 minutes to 1 hours, the rice is drier and less sticky.

I cook round-grain rice for a side dish, salad, and sushi according to this scheme, and it turns out well - slightly sticky, rice to rice and with a dense grain.

You are right when you call them sensory, but there is no such definition officially, this is a kind of Panasonic slang that is fixed in the masses. And in 502 all modes of the Krupa program - Standard, Express and Plov - are sensory! Their time is not fixed, but is determined by sensors ...

My recipe is to be guided by the marks on the bowl, this is a system that has been generally accepted throughout Asia for years, absolutely proven by iron.

And so
I will try to make 1: 1 water / rice according to your example ... maybe it will work ...
you can do it ONLY if there are no scratches on the bowl, as I have in Bork (there is simply the displacement indicated)

Vei, the sensors react to the opening of the cover during the operation of any of the above modes. The time can increase up to 5 minutes. But only!
If the lid is not opened, the programs run exactly as long as stated in the instructions: "Express" - 30 minutes, "Standard" - 40 minutes, "Plov" - 55 minutes.
For the successful preparation of porridge, you always have to take into account the ratio of GRANULE / LIQUID.

These are not sensory programs that run to boil.... In the STADLER multicooker, for example, there is a touch mode "Milk porridge". Interesting dishes are prepared on it, given that the program will turn off when there is no liquid.
In BRAND 502 this will not work! I cook on auto programs (except for cereals) and meatballs in sauce, and potatoes, and cabbage carcasses - the program turns off after declared time. There is enough liquid there!

There are a lot of girls in this thread who first encountered cooking in a multicooker. I am sure that they have information about auto modes will be helpful. Don't confuse them ...

Quite right! Sensory programs and automatic programs are different things!

What is there to wait? Pour in 2 times more water for rice and on the "Groats" mode, and then see what happens. If at the end of the program there is no liquid in the bowl, it means that the mode is touch, if there is water left, then the mode is on time.
Nikasa
I somehow accidentally poured water 1 mst more when I was cooking buckwheat. Therefore, I can say for sure that in Brand 502, the "Groats" mode is NOT TOUCH. Unfortunately, all the water has not evaporated ...

Tell me, is cupcake your first dish in a slow cooker, or did you cook something else? If you have thoroughly washed the bowl, then there should be no foreign smell.
The bowl, like all accessories, must first be washed with warm water and dishwashing detergent. And then we recommend boiling water in a bowl with the addition of a lemon wedge on the Steam mode. Then rinse the bowl again. That's it, the multicooker is ready to use.
If after all this you feel a foreign smell, I propose to drive up to us at Egoryevsky proezd, 2, we will test your bowl. If the smell is confirmed, we will replace it for you.

Elena, I wrote that this is the 3rd dish in this mv. The first was buckwheat (or rather, buckwheat was after boiling the lemon), just to check it out, there was no such obvious aftertaste, the second was jellied meat, but I did not try it.

And read carefully: this is not about the smell, the chemical TASTE of the finished dish, and when the cake cooled down, this foreign taste became even greater.

I know what to do with new MVs, I have 5 MVs, believe me, I know how to handle them.

Unfortunately, there is no way to drive up to you, I am from another city, otherwise I would have brought you a cupcake, because I myself would not have believed this. None of my MVs, even the cheapest ones, had this.

RepeShok, that is, the bowl does not smell of anything. Buckwheat is fine, but the cake has a foreign smell.

Are you sure you smell from the bowl? Maybe from a still new heating element? Turn on the multicooker in the Bake mode without the bowl and with the lid open. After about 5 minutes, check if there is a smell (if you take into account the previous use of the multicooker, the smell may be barely audible).

I really want to help you, so don't be surprised by my questions. It is difficult to solve such problems at a distance.

The bowl also has the same smell as in the cupcake, only it is barely audible and I attributed it to the smells of a new thing. Buckwheat has been the first number for a long time, did not even find fault with her. And the cupcake just upset, especially since the products are absolutely the same.
I thought the same thing about the smell from the heating element, not even from it, but from the mv itself, where the bowl is inserted, its walls are the same black, I smelled everything there))) no, there is no such smell.
The yogurt is cooling down in the bowl, the smell is a little there, I will taste it later. And what you asked to do at Bakery I will do the same a little later, I will write about the results.

I'm not surprised by the questions, I'm very offended myself, I like MV, I would really like to use it further.

When CF works, there is no foreign smell at all.So far, in fact, there is a slight smell in the bowl itself and the smack of the same smell in the cupcake.

For all the results, I think I'll sign off in the late afternoon. Thanks again for your attention to users.

I steamed the lemon.

I have another suggestion here. I treat the bowls very carefully, wash it only with a soft sponge, and so, when I wiped this bowl with a dry towel, I noticed such small stains, was surprised a little, but the thought somehow quickly left, did not catch on)) Now, when I washed the bowl, I generously poured medium for dishes and washed it with a hard sponge for Teflon, when I wiped it off, I did not notice these stains, it seems.

So, I thought, maybe this is some kind of factory lubricant, so strong that it just doesn't wash off?
Elena, can you somehow clarify at the plant? After all, this is quite possible, then the explanation of this taste is understandable.

In general, my lemon is brewed and I hope for the best
Elena Bo
The ceramic bowl must be washed very well with detergent and rubbed onto the bottom with the hard side of the sponge. Otherwise, “scale” remains in the honeycomb (at the bottom) - a thin whitish layer that can accumulate. Over time, if not washed properly, it will be difficult to remove. This can give off odors to the food and reduce the non-stick properties of the bowl.

Elena Br , I checked on Baking, there was a slight smell of new technology, no more.

Sorry to panic, I didn't know that this bowl can be rubbed with a hard sponge, and be sure to do this the first time.

But, on the other hand, I read about the foreign taste from other users, now you can give them absolutely unambiguous advice on how to get rid of it.
And then I read a lot of claims to 502 here, it's just horror-horror)))

By the way, someone complained about the plug socket, that the cord flies out, it sits so tightly with me that you can pull out the figs quickly. And CF does not slide on the tabletop at all.
So, our comments are taken into account and corrected, which pleases.
Knesinka
I had a 37502, now instead of it the 502nd model.
Here are the general impressions: what pleases me is that the valve does not fall onto the table when you open the lid. The water mainly flows into the drip tray; what little remains on the rim, I wipe with a napkin. The smell was not strong, after boiling the lemon it practically disappeared. I read about the Frying mode, that it is weak, and for the first time my onion burned. For my taste, this mode is too strong for vegetables, I fry them in the Pastry, but the meat is just possible in the Fry.

And now about the dishes I liked especially:

Laksky pilaf - delicious! I tried to cook it in a saucepan, but somehow it turned out all the ingredients by themselves. And in a slow cooker - a very rich taste!

Just potatoes and potatoes with cheese and sour cream on Plov - this is something at all! I read rave reviews that potatoes on Plov are very tasty, but I was skeptical about it.Then I decided to try it and found that it was very simple and incredibly delicious! Especially if sprinkled with your favorite spices!

Jellied meat - cooked on a delay. I put it overnight (Extinguishing 6 hours) so that it would be ready by 11 in the morning. At 10 o'clock - added salt, lavrushka, allspice. It was the first jellied meat in my life, but everything turned out just fine.

Yogurt - I cook in cans with dry starter cultures (Good Food), from UHT milk. It cooks for about 6.5 hours, it turns out very tasty, but, however, a little stringy. I can't fix this problem yet (I cooked 3 times).

Goes very well with yogurt Apples with nuts and dried fruits... It cooks quickly, I do it in the evening, and in the morning we mix it with yogurt and have breakfast. I liked it better when I added a little water instead of butter.
TORROR
Good day. My little report and a few comments.
My wife and I became the owners of Brand 502. I chose for a long time, I thought to take Orson - there is a pressure cooker, but it was stopped by the fact that it was impossible to open the lid during cooking. Well, that means he brought it home, his wife of course was formed, they washed everything, boiled it with lemon, cooked rice milk porridge. Still, there was a little smack, but after a couple of days of an open multicooker everything disappeared. So she stands between preparations with the lid covered. I do not like the design of the lid - when you open it, a significant part of the condensate gets into the finished dish. As advised somewhere, immediately cut the influx of drain channels. The condensate flows down where it should be, but the problem of getting it into the finished dish does not in the least solve. They would have to modify the lid - which sliding one should be made so that the button is pressed, the lid lifted a couple of centimeters without changing the horizontal position, then moved back the same couple of centimeters, and then you can already open it. This way all the condensate will go where it should. The design becomes more complicated, but the solution to the problem.
Further, regarding the cooking result. Usually our wife cooks with us, but she is afraid to communicate with technology, so I am a pioneer, and then I teach her. Well, it turned out that it may not be suitable for different rice. I took long-grain steamed rice, cook the same milk rice porridge. Everything according to the recipe, however, was not cooked, the porridge turned out to be liquid. Then I tried to make pilaf in the cereal mode. It seems that all the water is evaporated, but one rice is boiled, and the other apparently lacks water. And the recipe book does not say anything about different varieties of rice. Tell me what kind of rice of what type with what amount of water to cook?
I liked the steamer mode - the curd pudding is just wonderful. Only now it crawls out of the mold right up to the lid itself, and when you open the lid at the end of cooking, it is like a snail in the sink, shrinks into its mold. Is that how it should be with puddings?
The frying mode fries quite hard, although it is faster on the stove. The plus is that if you gape, nothing fatal will happen, unlike the stove.
Well, and the last note regarding the recipe book, which is included: WHO TRANSLATED IT INTO RUSSIAN!?! Maybe it's just me, but for example, page 55 Stewed mackerel in marinade: Wash the fish, cut into pieces, remove the head, and then REMOVE THE INSIDE! Is it in this order to cut the fish? I didn't know, honestly. Many recipes have missing letters like the soft sign, the letter and, the letter c, and so on. Page 18 Lagman: Cut the meat ... After will add... There is no soft sign. Well, this is just offhand those recipes that are of interest. But on page 36 Vermicelli with steam cutlets. I did everything according to the recipe - the cutlets were not boiled - the pink ones remained inside. I put it on for another 30 minutes already on the Steam cooking mode. A little was not enough. Moreover, the recipe for steam cutlets from page 33 turned out the first time with the same batch of minced meat.
In general, it is necessary with caution and with the head. It will be a pity to throw away meat products. And tell the more experienced hostesses what recipes you didn’t turn out as you expected and what corrections you made to the recipe. Well, educate about the rice above.
RepeShock
I use two types of rice, long grain white and round, not steamed. For the first, the proportion is 1: 2, for the second 1: 1.5. This is if for a side dish or pilaf.
For milk porridge, the proportion is always the same, 1 multi-glass of round rice per 1 liter of milk, then the porridge must be allowed to stand on heating.

It is not entirely clear, to me personally, why so much attention is paid to condensation ... well, a little water got into the pan, so what? It's not hydrochloric acid, really. Especially when they write not about baking, I don't understand at all, it's especially funny about the soup))) And when you just cook something in a saucepan, there condensate runs into the pan in a river, and nothing, everyone is alive

I would, frankly, stop releasing these books with recipes, but simply write in the instructions: take the recipes on the site
Of course, this is not suitable for those who are not friends with the Internet, unfortunately. But if you find the opportunity to write in this topic, then use the recipes from the indicated sites. Once you get used to it, you will be able to cook your usual meals in CF.

Do not cook milk porridge with parboiled rice!

It is not designed for this. This rice is only for cooking crumbly side dishes.

For milk porridge, use plain rice, preferably round. Proportions for milk porridge 1 cup of cereal for 1 liter of milk.

Different types of rice require different amounts of water for cooking. And everyone has different tastes, someone loves crumbly rice, and someone softer, boiled. Therefore, you will have to choose the most appropriate proportions for yourself and your rice variety.

I am very surprised that it takes so long to prepare steam cutlets. There can be only one reason - you put the cutlets too tightly (a lot) in a double boiler. It is necessary to spread, so that there is a sufficient distance between the cutlets.

Yesterday I became, I hope happy, the owner of Brand 502. The child is small, there is no time to stand at the stove.

I did not have a strong smell and even at the first boil no oil burned, I was already worried, suddenly they slipped the used one.

I cooked acidophilus at night, delicious. At first, the milk sweated a little, it turned out with a slight melted taste and smell.

A couple of comments from me, I think they have already written this, but still.
1. Beeps very loudly and there is no way to adjust or turn off. I have a baby, so it's not like he, but my husband was scared.
2. The notorious power cord - it falls out due to the fact that it does not fully fit into the socket, there is a protrusion on the socket connected to the device and it interferes. I took a cord from ups, there is no such protrusion - everything is ok.
3. Errors in instructions.I haven't noticed any typos in the recipes yet, but oh warranty terms discrepancy. First a year, then 2.
4. I would like the lid to be able to open and lock at a small degree. Well, this is just a wish, otherwise it did not fit openly under the locker.

I hope that now I will also be a member of the forum with my recipes.

I don’t look at these books at all, and not because the recipes are jam-packed, I’m just preparing everything the same as on the stove, my own menu, if suddenly on the forum I see something interesting among the girls, I can experiment and learn everything on the spot.

But the main point of this post is to cook everything as always, as you usually cook on the stove. Fortunately, Brand describes temperature conditions in such detail that recipes are useless. Here, in cases where other manufacturers "classify" information about temperatures and modes, recipes are needed to at least understand in what mode a particular dish can be cooked. But these manufacturers either have a lousy recipe book or none at all!

And about the notorious backlash of the power cord, I cursed for a long time yesterday, since ALL (!) MY Brand units are backlash. I only had a wire from a Japanese Panasonic that was smartly fixed in all machines, including a thermopot!

My cord in the 502th also sits firmly, no wobbling.

Veiwhy so categorically ?! Not all! Absolutely normal with a cord in both the airfryer and multicooker before 502 models ...
I will correct my post, absolutely in all MY Brand units (502, 37501, 6050 and 6060!)
The truth is the most critical of all is in 502 and 6060 (but I use the latter recently and not all the time) because the programs are crashing. In the 37501, this is least noticeable, well, in the 6050 it does not always have backlash, sometimes it sits normally. It is not clear only why ...

You can open the lid a little and throw the handle forward, so that the slightly opened lid will be fixed at a slight angle.
Rick, Thank you. Something I didn't think of a pen

And the recipe is just like yogurt did. The milk was 900 ml. Acidophilus purchased Ostankino 120 ml. I set 9 hours on boiling mode. But I stopped something and left it to cool with the lid closed, then came to my senses and opened the lid after 40 minutes. It turned out that the milk was a little tired. At the end in the refrigerator. The taste is very good.

Congratulations! MV is good, and her assistant is just excellent!

Why do you need a cover like that? All the same, you won't be able to get the saucepan, but you can fix it with a pen ajar during storage, as described above.
Thank you
RepeShock, me exclusively to keep open for airing. For cooking, I still pull out from under the drawers.

Well, I just have this cord, it is exactly the same as that of the multicooker.

Therefore, I advise those who have a backlash to apply this method. A typical computer store should have these power cords. The main thing is to pay attention to the nest.
