Good day, dear forum users! She became the happy owner of the Brand 502 multicooker quite recently, 5 days ago. The choice was made thanks to this forum. Thank you for being! I made sure myself that a multicooker is necessary in every kitchen
She cooked pilaf, milk porridge, buckwheat with meat, soup, baked a biscuit. Delicious and free up time for other endless household chores
Yesterday I faced a problem for the first time. The lights were turned off for a short time (literally for a minute). It turns out that the cartoon does not continue its program, but gets lost. My bread machine continued to bake breads, but the rice for the side dish had to be started again And it turned out not crumbly, but sticky. In the Groats program, the cooking time is not displayed, only when 9 minutes remain until the end of the program.
P.S. I bought it in Citylink.

Or maybe there was just a lot of water in the rice? Such modes work until the water evaporates ...
yuli-ba
In the instructions, the recommendation is 1: 1. And so she did.
I know that the program is touch sensitive
But why did it happen? It seems to me due to a network failure.
I would like, of course, to save the program for 10 minutes, like in a bread maker. But this is already a request to the manufacturers.
Olga I
Dear members of the forum, tell me, can you prepare baby food and sterilize bottles in this multicooker? And then I have a very small child.

I have the same incident today. The cake was being baked, and as I was leaving the kitchen I looked at the display, there were 18 minutes left until the end, only I entered the room and the light went out, but turned on right away, but that was enough. MV squeaked, the program shut down. I put it on again for 20 minutes to bake, and the HP continued as it worked. This, of course, does not please, but suddenly you do not know how much time has passed and is left until the end of the program. Somehow, at my dacha, the same story happened, but then I had a different MV and HP, too, and so there the opposite happened. She baked the bread on baking.

It depends on what you mean by the preparation of baby food. And you can sterilize in any multicooker.

I will not say about this slow cooker, I myself have not used anything like this, and I do not need it, but there is a Redmond RMC-01, it is somehow specially focused on baby food.
Here is the description written on it:
Cooking programs - Steam cooking, Baking, Groats, Stewing, Soup, Rice, Milk porridge, Yogurt, Baby food
Additional Features - Sterilization / Pasteurization
Manna
Well, what is the peculiarity of this program: "Baby food"? It seems to me that most multicooker can do the same as this special multicooker.
klera1563
I don’t know, I didn’t use it, I copied it from the characteristics on the MV, but I saw the multicooker itself in the store and it is described exactly as for cooking etc. If it is stewed and steam, then it is really possible in any.

it's just small, by 2 liters, that is, the useful volume is even less, only the child will have enough
Manna
And it’s not true, not only to the child. A 2 liter multi-piece is very convenient for side dishes, cereals, baked goods, etc. for 1-2 people. I now dream of such a baby (though not Redmond at all, and not at all at that price)
Aygul
Mannochka, yes yes yes, 100 times yes
It's just that Redmont positioned this cartoon under a separate category of people - for mothers of babies. And yet they know that even women who are very far from kitchen progress, with the advent of a baby, buy a blender, a double boiler, a sterilizer, a juicer, ... other various devices, who has what kit, even if the woman herself does not use it later. will be. So on their part (R.) this is a good move. For themselves, maybe they did not know, and did not want a multicooker, but they will buy it for a child, besides, it is clear that since it is for a child, then the price is correspondingly high.

Speak all right, girls, a simple marketing move - nothing is a pity for children! And the fact that everything in it then burns out, and in it only the bottles will remain to be sterilized, they will learn after purchase.

Good morning! In 502 you can cook kefir in the "Manual" mode at a temperature of 30C. Here's a link: https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=197241.0
And cottage cheese at 60-70C (which corresponds to heating). Pay less attention to various PR, but trust our ladies on the forum, and use proven recipes!
Olga I
Thank you very much! Therefore, I asked, and I read somewhere that they cook without this mode, and that slow cooker costs 2.5 times more than this one. And I liked the 502 right away when I just started choosing this miracle of technology.
oksana1000
For 4 days I have been using the brand 502 multicooker. I would like to leave my opinion, maybe it will help others who are looking for an assistant in the kitchen. 2 months sat on forums looking for a suitable multi. Before that, there was no such device. I wasn’t very sure that I needed it. But I decided to buy, I didn't want to get discouraged, so I chose for a long time. At first, of course, I drew attention to the universally advertised Redmond and Panasonic. Thoughtfully looking through the multicooker in the store, I was very surprised by the seller's advice to buy a brand multicooker. I purposefully found a forum about these multicooker and sat down. Almost immediately I was convinced, only the brand, mentally rushed between the pressure cooker and 37501 and 502. In the process of these throwing, it was impossible to buy them in our regional center. And so they finally appeared in the online store, of course, with a decent overpayment, since demand outstrips supply. I read everything in detail on the forum, so I will tell you about some points that caused psychosis in many. There was a smell at the first activation, but this is the smell of a new NE. Then it did not repeat itself. The silicone gum really smells like cooked food, and the saucepan smelled like borscht too. Then I specially baked a chocolate cake from the recipe book, the cake smelled like cake, the gum and saucepan stopped smelling like borscht. Someone on the forum wrote that the gum of the multicooker is not silicone, they say, silicone does not absorb odors. I mixed the borsch with a silicone spoon, it smells of tritium for a day. The pilaf, of course, turned out not like in a cauldron, but personally I never cook, but in my opinion, it is better than I do in a frying pan. Milk porridge is fine, even with long-grain rice, boiled, moderately thick, no attempts to escape, it did not even rise above the level of porridge, it's a pity that nobody in my family eats it except me. Borscht is wonderful rich, stewed. The husband praised, the child said the vegetables are overcooked, the taste is delicious. The pastries are certainly peculiar, for an amateur, but from the first time everything turned out the way it is baked in a slow cooker, judging by the reviews from the forum. There was a baked stain on the bottom of the pastry, in other modes there are no complaints, and this stain is not very annoying. On forum 37502, one girl was very nervous about this, so I indicated. The stewing function is wonderful, frying is a decent sautéing of vegetables, and for the soup it is no longer necessary, frying the fish before stewing is enough. And for the fried crusts for my husband, I have an airfryer. Of course, the multicooker does not completely save you from cooking, but when you have prepared everything, laid down and turned on the desired mode, then a fairy tale, no constant trips to the kitchen to check, stirring, no scorching. So the thing is necessary in the household.
oksana1000
I forgot to add about condensation. N. baked goods were not at all, just dry. In other modes there is, but not a lot, nothing gets into the saucepan, remains on the sides and flows into the drip tray, near the drain holes I slightly cut off small influx of plastic with a knife.
Nikasa
This morning I cooked milk rice porridge for the first time in a cartoon. I want to say that the porridge was a success, and I liked the process itself - I set it and forgot it.
But. Maybe this issue has already been discussed somewhere, tell me. The smell of plastic. Strong outside, even the window had to be opened to weathered. And most importantly, even in the porridge, there is a kind of plastic aftertaste.
Is there any way to get rid of this faster? And then I want steam cutlets, but I'm afraid they will also be saturated with this smell ...

but when delivered from the cold, you cannot check the mule, so you have to dangle after it yourself.
and what should you pay more attention to when receiving?

thanks for the info. ordered there for tomorrow self-pickup.
can you recommend what you should pay attention to when receiving the 502nd !?

This is an industrial zone ... which is now an office and warehouse. Maybe it's closer to Dmitrovskaya, I go there with Savelovskaya.
So you were going to carry it on your own?

Here you are restless)))

Regarding the smell .... It was, silicone rubber and plastic steamers stank. I kept it open for a couple of days and steamed with lemon a couple of times a day. Then the smell faded, now it's gone.
To be honest, this is the only annoying nuisance associated with 502.
Check the bowl inside and out, all the latches so that they work, a removable lid plate, silicone inserts on the legs of the steamer and the multi. And so that the power cord fits well, does not play. Everything is in water ... My lid on the left side divides a little, but does not affect the process.
Well, I have already said more than once that I have not seen better quality 37501 in this price segment.
And the next one is Kuku and Bork))) so Brand has no competitors, it's funny when they are called an analogue of Redmond, only cheaper, it's nonsense, Redik is not worth it (IMHO)

I hope I (more precisely, multi) everything will be ok! and there will be no obsessive smell! in my 37501 it was not immediately!
you got ahead of me with a question about cooking with lemon to Nikasa.
probably she didn't boil !? but it should be!

Lemon must be cooked together with steamers - they stink!
yuli-ba
I have not steamed yet (I have not tried all the modes, but I try) I washed the new steamers, put them on the table. Now I specifically went and smelled it, they don't smell
yuli-ba
I read on the forum that the gum on the lid absorbs odors. I don't know yet, I am wary of cooking with spices until I get a spare cover. Here I cooked cabbage soup, the smell did not seem to be absorbed

What are the responses to our 5-step manual mode? Do you need it at all? How often do you use it? Do you really need so many stages or less enough? Can you customize it?
Nikasa
Initially (before cooking), the multicooker did not smell of plastic. The smell came from the first cooking.
I leafed through the forum today, came across the advice to steam a lemon, which I did several times. Then I cooked three more times in it, and steamed cutlets, and corn porridge for my daughter and fried chicken. Smell from the inside disappeared completely... Only outside there was a barely noticeable smell of plastic when heated. So I love it. I am very glad that I decided to buy this multi.
Tomorrow I'm going to stew a duck with potatoes, in this regard, the question is: the recipe says - pour water ... and how much to pour, who knows? So that all products are covered with water or less?
And one more question: there was such a thing in the kit:
Multicooker Brand 502

This is a holder for spoons (the ones that come with the kit). Attached to the side in a special groove.

Pour water as much as is required for extinguishing. Please note that when stewing in a slow cooker, water does not boil away, but it will still be added from duck meat.
Nikasa
Elena BoThank you very much for your advice. I suspected that less water was needed than usual, but I doubted.
And as for the spoon holder, if this is it, then there is no special groove on the cartoon. There is this:
Multicooker Brand 502,
but this holder does not hold there, but only clutches the cartoon with its latch, which is in the middle.
Well, God bless him, all the same, the spoons will lie in the table. I was just curious what kind of thing this is)))

Vadim, I used the Manual program for baking bread, only today I posted the recipe https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=199018.0... Since I have something to compare with, the phased use seemed convenient for me. Used 3 stages. Set up easily. In addition to bread, I didn’t use this program anymore, it just didn’t have time, MV was only two weeks old.

Girls, I have a question about cooking pasta.
I poured pasta, poured it with boiling water (the water had just closed the pasta) put it on the KRUPA - EXPRESS mode. But I did not understand - this program also determines the cooking time itself and turns off when there is no water? My pasta was already cooked, the water boiled away, and the program was working. I had to turn it off myself. If I cooked it more, the pasta would turn into porridge.

Hello dear Vadim! The manual mode is absolutely necessary, I like to decide for myself how long and at what temperature to cook. This mode was decisive in my choice of a multicooker. Thank you!
Elena Bo
osska, grits-express is a very long time for cooking pasta. And it all depends on what kind of pasta you take. Recently I have only taken Italian ones, those that are always aldente. They do not boil into porridge. And you need to adjust to the cheap ones, and to each manufacturer separately.

I don't have the 502nd MB yet, but I can tell from the experience of using HP 3801 - it's VERY great! And my hands are already itching on the MV with this possibility. If in the near future a MV with a manual mode in several stages (as I expected 501) does not appear in something more interesting to me, then I will buy 502. And EXACTLY because of this mode.

Yes, I already know about Filia and 501 from 6050 ...
I'm now waiting for an announcement on the Brand-baby))) But, since the size of 502 is nothing more (maybe a centime), I still tend to her ...

And here is such a question for the lucky owners of 502 - what is the height with the lid open? (Right now I'll go back to 37300 I'll ask the same thing))))
And then my place is supposed to be under the gas water heater (Orson is standing there now, his lid is removed and he fits, and these "cuffs will probably have to be pushed forward).

Understandably, I read about espresso groats in a book and the pasta was "ordinary".

Here I have another question about frying. Well, my cartoon doesn't want to fry. The only thing that somehow looks like frying is a small amount of onion (1 onion), and then it takes about 20 minutes for the onion to darken a little, or rather, become golden. Everything else is just kind of stewed in the FRYING mode. Right now I am making pilaf, on Fried, onions, carrots and meat for 1 hour, but nothing has fried, but only stewed.
Is that so for everyone? Or do I have a cartoon with a defect?

Hello! The photo shows a holder for a spatula and a spoon, which is attached to the right side of the multicooker in a special hole.
Elena Bo
osska, do you fry with the lid open? Try to close. Do you expect more than a multicooker can give? Gentle frying at 150 degrees. You will not get a dark, tough crust like in a pan.
I just like it so careful, you can safely leave it for 10 minutes and not be afraid that it will burn out. And I do not like dark, slightly golden, but transparent is the very thing!

Hello everyone! I am trying to choose a multicooker. At first I wanted Panasonic (I have a 257 breadmaker), but according to reviews I stopped at Brand 502. I never used a multicooker, so I have questions:
1. Tell me, if you put milk porridge for the morning with a timer delay, then the milk (not sterilized) will not turn sour overnight?
2. Some write that you need to immediately purchase another bowl and a removable lid. Tell me how much it is really necessary and if there are "spare parts" for the 502 model.

It is better to use sterilized milk for porridge on a delay.
In addition to the multicooker, you don't have to buy anything. This is bought only by those who are very sensitive to odors.

I used milk in different ways. It has never turned sour yet.I make porridge every day. Best of all, it turns out to be ultra-pasteurized (at least with this milk, porridge was obtained more "stewed" than with any other).
I pour the milk cold.

About a five-stage multi-cook. They baked bread and Napoleon cake on it, cooked duck and mushrooms, and also tried to cook pork jelly. Everything worked out great! So this is a very handy feature
