His company also produced seals for the food and paper industry. Therefore, as soon as he looked at both rings, he immediately said that the ring was defective and told me to boil it! Yes, do not cool, but boil! And at least 20 minutes. I did just that, and after that the lid closed! But, as he said, there is no guarantee that after cooling it will not stop compacting again. Therefore, I advised to buy new ones.
