Ingredients

Egg white 1 PC
Powdered sugar 1/2 stkn
Nuts (any, I have walnuts) 1/2 stkn
Chocolate pieces 1/2 stkn
Coconut flakes 75 g
Vanilla sugar 1 sachet (8 g)

Cooking method

  • Combine coconut, chocolate and chopped nuts. Beat the protein with powdered sugar well, mix everything - you get a dry, slightly crumbling dough. Spread out with a spoon on a baking sheet covered with FOIL. We put the baking sheet in the hottest oven (I have 2500C) and timed exactly ONE minute. Turn off the oven and forget about the cookies for 12 hours. Do not open the oven under any pretext !!! Therefore, it is better to do it at night, and in the morning - an indescribably crumbly, fragrant cookie on the table! From this portion, I got 15 decent sized cookies.

Unusually delicious with coffee. And it doesn't look like anything. I got them yellowish, although they should be white, apparently it depends on the oven, next time I will try to reduce the temperature a little.

However, the oven, even an ultramodern one, cools down after switching off along with its contents in no longer than 4-5 hours.
Even with good sealing of the internal space, the humidity in the oven will be equal to the humidity of the surrounding air in 5-6 hours too. So long exposure will not affect the dryness of the final product.
The question arises why it is necessary to point out so categorically the need to keep the finished cookies in the oven for at least 12 hours.
I would like to hear intelligible explanations or see a smiley of a playful mood.
By the way, your cookies turned yellow most likely because they were overexposed in the oven for over the specified 1 minute. The author of the recipe specifically emphasizes that even a 10-second overexposure leads to darkening of the cookies.

And I can tell you for sure that I did not overexpose, because the time was counted with a stopwatch for exactly 1 minute. And the maximum temperature for each oven is really very different, that's why I wrote about the temperature decrease, especially since the experience has already been baking at a much lower temperature.
