Hello, save, help !!
The cover of Brand 6050 does not open!
Yesterday, as usual, I put the children on a delayed start to cook oatmeal in the morning. She woke up, she was just cooking it, and she counted 5 minutes of heating. From the hole for steam and the valve, some milk drops flew out, I turned it off, relieved the pressure. And the lid won't open!
I thought maybe the pressure there should stabilize or cool down, I've been waiting for almost an hour. The lid won't open? What to do? The instructions say to press on the valve with a wooden stick, I press, but nothing happens, both sticking up and sticking out.
Elena Br
Try it like this:
1. Turn the pressure regulator to the "pressure relief" position
2. If the cover does not open, gently push down on the float. It is located next to the pressure regulator (such a hole). To open the pressure cooker, the float must be in the down position... Try to push it harder, nothing will break there, so be brave.

The "Rice" button does not work for me, I press-press on it, no answer, is it really a defect?

P.S. nevertheless, I "put the squeeze" on it, "Rice" turned on, but it took quite a lot of effort, I even had to hold the pan so that it would not budge ...
Elena Br
It should be like this:
plug in, hear a beep
press the "RIS" button, the display shows 14 minutes,
after 5 seconds, you will hear a beep, after which the pressure cooker will start the program.
Is it so, or not?
What exactly is happening on your device. Is the only problem with the RIS program? How do other programs work?

P. S. The buttons should be easy to press. If your copy has problems with pressing the buttons, then I recommend driving up to our office, Egoryevsky proezd, 2

Elena, thanks for the quick response All the buttons, except for Rhys, are easy to press, but this one does not happen when pressed lightly, only with an effort the program starts. How the other programs work, I can’t say anything yet, I tried only Soup, Legumes and Frying (chicken), I did not find any problems here.

Yes, I will probably have to visit you

I'm again with my valve.
I noticed that if you boil 1 glass of water in a saucepan, the valve hiss sooo much, a stream of steam hits straight. And if I cook a full pot of soup, the SV works quietly, no steam from the valve. Can this be explained somehow?

I think when the pan is filled to a minimum, it is much more difficult for it to gain operating pressure.
Pogremushka
why is he hissing? the pressure indicator pops up, after a few seconds a jet of steam appears from the valve, as if there is an excess of this pressure.
vernisag
Yes, no, if the working pressure is reached, the valve will close. But if there is not enough of it, it will scald, hiss, spit until it picks up. And the pan is empty. A full saucepan takes a long time to heat the contents, but pressure builds up quickly.I am not strong in physics (just an artist) but logically I think so.

Hello. Can you please tell me how the baking mode will differ from the multi-cooker Panasonic? I bake everything together in Panas: meat / fish, frozen vegetables, and potatoes. In principle, I was satisfied with how it was baked, baked, but the bowl was peeled off and I will change the mv (choose a model). But I’m already used to pushing everything in layers into the mv (also pushing something into a double boiler basket) - and onto baking. How to say baked meat sausage in Brand? Or should you use an alternative mode? Is there a small crust on the pressure mode?
And another question: no one tried to produce yoghurt in water on the heating mode in a pot at Brand? Is it real?
Thanks in advance (with great pleasure I read the 68 pages of the forum with reasonable advice on the topic and discussion).
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Itsita, Hello! For frying in the CB 6050 there is a wonderful "Roast" mode. It, in turn, is further subdivided into the type of product: Chicken, Meat, Vegetables, Fish, Cereals, Seafood. Therefore, it would not even occur to you to use the "Baking" mode for frying, I am 100% sure of this.

To the account

(also shove something into the steamer basket)
This will not work. There is no top steamer included. And you can't use any that is suitable in diameter. Since the cover is designed in a different way from the same Panasonic, and other MBs too.

So that after the "Meat" mode there is at least a small crust under pressure, I first fry on the "Fry" mode. Although I do this more often to give the meat color so that it does not look quite like cooked.

I haven’t tried yoghurt in a pressure cooker, because I have a multicooker with an excellent Yoghurt mode and therefore didn’t even have a thought.
Itsita
So I don’t fry in mv (it’s not really fried there). I just load everything together and for baking. It is fried a little from the bottom, but in general it looks like a duck in the oven. I'm too lazy to fry)))). And an insert steamer without legs, right? Nothing will fall under it?
Thank you for your reply (we do not have 6050 ((((.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Steamer with legs. It will be possible to put something under it, but very thin. Here we have already discussed the possibility of lengthening the legs. If you have a man with a head and hands, and can do this, then it will be possible to cook in two tiers.

Today I made a pie with fruits on Pastry 45 min. The time needed to be increased, but the minimum that can be set is 40 minutes. Not convenient, because I need 20 minutes, I had to guard. Baking should be at least 20 minutes. to do.

All inscriptions on the control panel must be in Russian. There shouldn't be any hieroglyphs.
We are ready to change the control board for you along with the display. Write to me in a personal message from which city you are, depending on this, we will discuss possible replacement options.

With not very active use, already my O-ring began to fly off.

I report:

as I already wrote, I really like porridge.Although they differ from those cooked in conventional rice and multicooker without pressure. Somehow, in a pressure cooker, cereals are steamed more ... But they do not boil down into a homogeneous mass.

According to my habit, I immediately pour boiling water over the cereals, so the saucepan goes into the pressure setting mode quickly. The pressure in the "rice" mode can be released almost immediately after the end of the program - there is nothing to boil there if all the water has already been absorbed into the cereal.

The meat is cooked well too. Moreover, a beef rocking chair during normal cooking requires at least an hour and a half of boiling, then half an hour in a pressure cooker is quite enough.

in my understanding, a pressure cooker is a saucepan for cooking here and now. Therefore, it somehow strains the heating mode, into which it enters at the end of the program - this increases the time for the natural release of pressure. Ideally, I would like to have an intermediate position of the valve for releasing steam - so that it does not open immediately, but it would be possible to bleed off the steam slowly. Now you have to open the valve with your finger, let it release a little pressure and wait again.

Once again I will insist on the need to set the cooking time in most programs FROM ONE MINUTE! For soups that are cooked in ready-made broths, 20 minutes is a lot! For example, for a vegetable soup made from a frozen mixture or just not coarsely chopped vegetables, I only need 4 minutes + the soup is still cooking for a few minutes until the temperature drops to below 100 ° C, and, accordingly, it will be possible to open the saucepan. Sometimes I need to cook fish - this also takes a few minutes. I can manage in such cases with other pots or stove. But I would really like to see these functions in a pressure cooker precisely because it is a very good field kitchen for me! That is, to be able to cook ANY food in conditions when you have only one pressure cooker for cooking. In the meantime, when cooking some dishes, I have to keep track of the time and turn off the saucepan when I need to, and not when the program ends.
Elena Br
If you need to cook a soup that requires a cooking time of less than 20 minutes, use the Porridge / Steam mode. It will turn out great.
At the first opportunity to make changes to the Brand 6050 pressure cooker-multicooker program, we will set the time interval on the "Timer" button from 1 minute.

Very annoying, sometimes you need to quickly cook something in the morning and run to work. And you won't run away, because you have to wait until the end of the program and turn off St. ... Not every dish can be heated for a long time. Well, no, you can of course ask the child to come from school to have dinner with me and turn off St. But this is only in theory, but in practice there is a wind in my head, and all requests are very quickly forgotten ... I do not know what kind of smart guy came up with this "heating" in all cartoons, but I suspect that in order for us to live completely honey then didn't seem ...

If you need to cook a soup that requires a cooking time of less than 20 minutes, use the Porridge / Steam mode. It will turn out great.
It is this mode ("porridge") that differs from the others in that the countdown begins even if the pressure has not been reached. I was convinced of this today when I was preparing a noodles casserole.I decided to check at what moment the countdown will start (on another pressure cooker, it is the "porridge" mode that is used for baking, in other modes the countdown does not start until it is typed working pressure). I put five minutes on the "porridge" after baking. And what is interesting - air / steam comes out of the bypass valve with a hiss, but there is not enough pressure to close. And the pressure cooker has already started the countdown.

In general, of course, for any dish that takes one or two minutes to cook, the "porridge" mode is suitable. But for potatoes, for example, ordinary boiled potatoes, I need 5-7 minutes of high working pressure, so I cook it on "rice" or "soup".
vernisag
Well, this can only be done on a casserole, and if there is liquid, then the porridge mode works the same way as all modes. I cook a vegetable soup in this mode for 7 minutes 4.5 liters, the pressure is gained, the valve closes and the countdown begins.
Rina
pressure will build up in any case if the liquid is boiling and the release valve is closed. But here's the countdown ... In the electric pans, apparently, there is a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor. It works depending on the selected program. I suppose that on "porridge", if the pressure sensor does not work, then the temperature sensor is triggered - that is, the pressure is not gained due to the lack of liquid, but the temperature has become above 100 ° C. Later I will check with ordinary water, anyway, I will have to boil the eggs, I will cook them with the valve open.

Yes, here's one problem - the same manufacturer claims that different programs have DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE REGIME corresponding to the product. From this I conclude that the working pressure for different programs should be different. Even in floor-standing pressure cookers, TWO or THREE operating pressures are possible - 5, 10 and 15 pounds. The most requested, that is, the standard for the majority, is 15 pounds.

P.S. Well, I'm a bore, a bore ...
MariV
Ira, what model of a pressure cooker do you have, that there are three levels of working pressure?
Rina
it's not with me, it's in Europe. It seems. Tefal must have a model for two working pressures.

Information from the English cookbook with recipes for pressure cookers (high and low additional pressure indicated). Unfortunately, where on the Internet I found 5, 10 and 15 pounds, I won't tell you right away. But in the English-language Wikipedia there is such a text

Some pressure cookers have a lower maximum pressure than the industry standard 15 psi, or can be adjusted to different maximum pressures for some recipes; cooking times will increase or decrease accordingly.
-------------------------------
Some pressure cookers have a lower maximum pressure than the standard 15 psi, or can be set to different maximum pressures for some recipes, cooking times will increase or decrease accordingly.

If the manufacturer lays down separate programs for different products, at the same time, the time of these programs is somewhere comparable (15-20 minutes), and the countdown is triggered not only when the working pressure is set, then for me this confirms the idea that the working pressure with different programs may be different (as well as the sensor operation algorithm). But this is all just my speculation.

by the way, from the same Wikipedia - at an additional pressure of 15 psi. inch = 1 kg per sq. see boiling point of water 121 ° C = 250 ° F.
MariV
Why did I ask - I still have two Soviet free "Minutes" alive and working - everything is simple there - I closed it and that's it.
Pressure regulating mechanism they do not have - the pressure in the stove is regulated exclusively by hand - by increasing or decreasing the fire - if gas - or by adjusting the temperature of the electric stove.
As the valve begins to hiss strongly, we reduce the fire.
And the Tefalevskie plates are equipped with such a mechanism?

And then there is one smell for all the cereals ... and this condensation ... of course we stir after opening - but this kind of not so hot (((

While the soap lid is thorough! Already in the middle, porridge was cooked (in general, like eating cabbage), and the fruit drink still smells, and moreover, it tastes like cabbage. - You cannot cook milk porridge without pressure in the Brand 6050 multicooker pressure cooker. This requires a special program, such as in the Brand 37501 and 37502 multicooker.
- in the PMM it is allowed to wash the bowl and the removable lid plate, but I would not recommend washing the O-ring there.
- some products (fish, hodgepodge, spices) leave a smell after cooking, which is not very easy to get rid of. You should boil water with the addition of lemon or use an additional O-ring specifically for such products.
P.S. As I understand you have a multicooker and a pressure cooker - this is a great duet that complements each other. So is it worth getting upset. You can cook porridge in a slow cooker, and a pressure cooker can cook stews, broths and pastries.

Elena, thanks for the answer. I examined the lid, it seems that it closes as usual and the pressure regulator is intact. And with the latter, I'm already tired of everyone here, probably. Until now, I can’t understand whether it is working normally for my SV or not. After the pressure indicator pops out after about a minute, a jet of steam may appear from the pressure regulator (sometimes moderately strong, sometimes very strong). This continues from one to four minutes (I could not stand it longer). I noticed that the less water, the more likely such a development of events. Hello everyone! Yesterday I got this wonderful miracle. I'm trying to fry meat. There is no experience in either pressure cookers or multicooker - everything is new. Therefore, 2 questions (for now):
1) With the lid closed on the Frying Meat, for a rather long time, the CW goes into operation (10 minutes, at least), and then it turns on the countdown of 18 minutes for frying meat. So, on the one hand, the meat is already ready to enter the operating mode ... I don't understand how to adapt to this: I turn the meat over, wait another 10-15 minutes and just press the cancellation. Something I am doing wrong. :-( T.That is, until I leave her at all, it turns out.
2) Also in this mode, with the lid closed (the valve is in the "normal pressure" mode) CВ, for some reason, excess steam with hiss and drops is released through the high pressure indicator, and not through the valve with a rotary knob ... Is that how it should be?

UPD. It looks like my arms are terribly crooked. :-) The meat is burnt, the pasta (200 grams poured in 1.5 measuring cups of cold water; Cooking mode 5 minutes) stuck together and half-baked ... Not my day today, apparently.

In pressure cooking, the multicooker operates at full power until the working pressure is reached. The water boils and the float rises. From this moment, the pressure build-up begins. When the pressure reaches the working pressure, the heating is turned off. So if there is not a lot of water in the bowl, then the pressure continues to rise, since the heating element is still very hot. The security system is activated. The force of the steam lifts the valve and releases the steam to reach the working pressure. You watch a trickle of steam. In this case, you can return the pressure regulator to its original position by pressing the black pointer of the pressure regulator.
The more water is poured in the bowl, the less likely it is to build up excess pressure.

The countdown starts when the set temperature is reached. But as long as the appliance reaches, for example, 150 degrees (Fry-Meat), the food begins to cook already at 90. Therefore, it is not surprising that when the working temperature was reached, the meat was already cooked on one side.
2) Yes, this is normal instrument operation. Steam can escape through the pressure indicator.
3) I didn't know that pasta can be cooked under pressure.

As for the pressure - I argued for the likely different operating temperature in different programs.

Since I am approaching the pros and cons of your pressure cooker as a versatile kitchen, ideally I would like another option - a switchable heating! I understand that a pressure cooker is for cooking "here and now" (by the way, in such cases, heating is also not needed). But sometimes you have to cook in it for tomorrow or in a few hours. For example, yesterday I set to cook meat (beef and pork rocking chair, about 1.2-1.4 kg), which needed to be cold by morning. I really like the boiled meat from the pressure cooker, and you shouldn't leave such meat in a heated mode until morning. I wanted to sleep terribly, there was nothing special to do.And I, nevertheless, had to stay up to sleep to turn off this very heating. Well, do not put, in fact, a socket with a timer (by the way, such timers give a too sharp jump when turned on / off, and the technique "with brains" may suffer).
