Hello Soborkovsky!
I ask for advice, whatever I did, I do not want to bake a hump, it is white and not baked. The sides are great! Crunchy! But there is no hump at all.

Who faced? Maybe the stove is defective? Is the yeast bad? Is the flour of the wrong kind? Returning the oven or experimenting further?

By the way, 1.25 Kg bread rises only up to half of the container, or lower. This is normal?

The photo must be laid out and the cut is large, the process and the recipe must be fully described, then we will help.

Hello everybody! I'm talking about slicing bread. I don't know about you, but my metal knives (which seem to suit my family in everything), although they cut bread, but ... my husband bought a ceramic supposedly Japanese knife, a little over a thousand rubles. And a miracle! It cuts like clockwork, there is no feeling of sawing at all. I really respect pieces of about 0.7 cm - they turn out with a bang!

For a thousand or a little more, a slicer is purchased and quickly a millimeter, well, the truth is on meat or cheese, it will be provided to you.

Yesterday I watched Bork X800, the seller praised it. Confused that he had only 2 programs for kneading dough, for pasta and for pizza. Can it be configured to prepare a different dough?

Bam! The progressive public shuddered from the new scornful and brutal BORK video about the "luxury of handmade bread." Here you and Mazerati at the entrance of a luxurious mansion, and a carelessly abandoned Vertu, and other glamorous obscenities. And most importantly - such a samEts who has everything, but not enough bread
lenaa, don't reprimand me. Share YOUR impressions and thoughts on the stove. And the branch, if my memory serves me right, is called "Selection and Operation of Bork x800 Bread Makers". Therefore, we will not deny anyone who has not yet bought this stove the opportunity to read different opinions about the product before he decides to purchase the product. What a filthy habit in Russia of clinging to the personality of the writer?

About the BORK company and about the habits in Russia it is necessary to speak and write not here! Try to write to the newspaper ... And then about something else! In general, compared to this section with the same on the English-language forum ... everything is on the topic ... everyone talks about the advantages and disadvantages of the stove, post recipes and pictures, help each other .. and never any disputes ... and then swearing a lot and some kind of agent mania ..

And the Breville BBM800XL bread maker is of very high quality! Here it costs about $ 250 from the manufacturer, and in the store it is even more expensive! I haven't even heard of Bork until today ... It's strange that they sell this stove under their own Brand .. After all, Breville is a very cool company.

By my standards, she is one of the three best bread makers:

1.Panasonic SD-YD250 is the most reliable

2. Zojirushi Virtuoso ™ BB-PAC20 - has a heater on the lid!

3. Breville BBM800XL - the most beautiful

I chose it from three because the design is suitable for my kitchen and the size. In general, I like Zojirushi more, but it is already very long -17 inches ... and not all metal, but everything in my kitchen is metallic. The next stove will be Zojirushi

Now I have no problems with baking any bread, I change all the basic settings for myself, we love porty, nostril bread, less yeast. I have mastered programming and now I already have two basic recipes for simple and rye bread that can be baked with the click of a button. My family's taste is completely satisfied and now all I need is quality products and new recipes ...

Gela, tell me how to make the sides lighter and the top darker. Maybe just before the end, pause and anoint something from above, maybe with an egg white?
Thank you!

Looks like all the bakers are on vacation. Thank you all for the discussion in this thread. My choice also fell on the Bork X800.
At first I was a little worried, because, judging by the reviews, not everyone got bread the first time. This is how it turned out for me. Onion (quick) from the recipe book.

The bread turned out to be very tasty, it has already been baked 3 times. The only drawback is that the top is lighter than the sides of the roll. As I understand it, nothing can be done here.
Vlad_US
You have a beautiful bread! And the top is great!

And my very light turned out .. that's why I passed it the day before yesterday and ordered myself a Zojirushi Virtuoso.

hello bakers! I have been using Bork-800 for two months, and I am very happy, the first bread from the recipe book turned out superb, baked and other breads, everything worked out, the only trouble, rye bread from recipes did not work out. Today I baked onion bread, I added the onion after the sound signal, but for some reason it was not all kneaded into the dough, it remained a little in the corner and was burnt during baking. would you like to know when to lay the onion so that it is evenly distributed in the dough without using a dispenser?

I pause and fill the bun with fried onions, then I resume the program. Here someone wrote that he cuts the bun and puts the filling in it.
For a 750 gram loaf, I fried two medium onions, left a little on the drushlak so that the oil glass. In the corners, my bow did not accumulate. A photo of the resulting bread is above. ;-)
tanja-55
thanks for the answer! the onion bread is very tasty, I get exactly the same as yours, his lid is pale, but this does not bother me at all, this is probably because of the viewing window, although when I bake wheat or wheat-rye bread the top is the same , like the sidewalls, darkish.
Vlad_US
Tanya, have you tried to grease the top of the bread with an egg 10 minutes before the end? Will it get darker?
rin
For a darker top, on the advice from this forum, I bake by covering the window with a towel while working. however, still exposing a dark crust, I get only the middle one. And even at the beginning of work, I adjust the bake time by increasing it by 5-7 minutes. There was a question about the ease of taking the bread out of the mold. I understand that if it's baked well, then it's easy to take out. And so you have to shake))))).

So a couple of small movements and everything that you write is solved easily.
With the withdrawal of bread, see here --- >>
Removing finished bread and scoops from the bread machine
But covering with a towel is not good, after all, it is a heating device, albeit with automatic controls.
With a crust, everything is not difficult, if you want a darker top, it is enough to cover the window from the inside with a piece of foil, better thicker, for example, foil for saunas.
Better yet, use heat-resistant metal tape to insulate the ovens, gluing it in narrow strips from the inside, with gaps of 5 mm., A crust will appear, and the window will remain working for peeping.

Yes, live and learn. I myself could not think of a simple thing (((. Turned and pulled out))).
And about the stove, I have not read all the messages of the forum yet, although the stove has been for a month already, probably many questions will be removed later. I can only tell you about the problems.
1. The book of recipes causes bewilderment - how it is possible, for example, to measure 405 grams of flour, I do not understand .. no, I will weigh it, but the very fact of such fractionality is ... strange.
2. My onion bread did not work out in an accelerated mode - the contents of the bucket were scattered into several parts and a single kolobok did not come out. Well, it knocks hard. When I compared the recipes for this bread at x500 and x800, I was surprised at the noticeable difference in the recipe for the same weight. The mode is the same, the name is the same, but the proportions are different. Interestingly, for the x500, somewhere posted the distribution of the program in time and temperature, how is it done for the x800? It would be interesting to compare.
3 Last night I tried to bake "delicious white bread" - https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...on=com_smf&topic=146019.0 In the bucket, during the kneading, some kind of dry mass turned out, I had to add water, but still nothing sensible came out - it rose a little bit and it turned out hard and damp. Maybe there is not 300 grams of kefir, but 300 ml? Then there will be more kefir.
4. Simple white bread is obtained every other time (((. It will be baked, then not, although I seem to put everything in grams.
Here is the alignment)).
I don’t regret that I bought such an expensive stove, now that))))). Apparently the day was such that he allowed himself to be persuaded. I walked behind the stove of about 5-6 tons, but it turned out more expensive So far, I only consider the fact that it is iron as an undoubted plus)))), although it does not smell of plastic. And he also noticed that if women usually work with baking, then we, men, are already interested with a bread maker. Still, we do not mimic the dough, but press the buttons - we control the device !!!!!!!!!!! Almost like a rocket

Hello everyone. I wanted to ask experienced people - is it possible to bake bread in the oven right in a bucket from a bread machine? and what is the limiting temperature? I can set 150-200 degrees. The oven is a normal one. The question arose because of concerns about the inner coating of the bread machine bucket. If the temperature is high won't melt? ))) The maximum temperature in the bread maker is 150.

Teflon operating temperature is 230-270C.
At an oven temperature of up to 200C, everything will be fine.
And it's useful to buy a thermometer for the oven.

After reading this forum and some others before buying HP, I did not decide which one to buy, I decided already in the store.
My opinion about HP bork 800 may help someone when choosing!
This is my first HP so that I do not compare, but highlight the pros and cons.
To the pluses
The visual inspection made me very happy, it seemed to be assembled soundly, there were no uneven gaps, everything was clear. Stainless steel, a convenient removable top cover with a handle and a window, behind the compartment for the cord and for instructions (very convenient), backlight (you can clearly see what is happening), I liked the controls (especially the rotating slider), a large, clear and informative display (everything is basic it displays what stage of cooking, how soon until the end, etc. infa). The set included instructions, recipes, a mitten, a measuring cup, a measuring spoon on one side, a tea spoon on the other, a dining room, two scoops for kneading (one for jam, the other for dough). Ability to change basic modes and program your own, mute,

By cons
The backlight button is small for me, it would be more convenient, since I often watch what is happening there, when baking, it heats up very much, and the whole thing (the hand does not hold it), there is no power button (you have to pull it out of the socket), uneven legs jumps during kneading (it is necessary to add more), the menu is in English, the dispenser opens noisily,

For the second day I torture hp, I came to the conclusion that the error pops up when I put the color of the crust dark, and as I suppose due to overheating of the hp, since everything is ok on the middle color of the crust, hence the question to the owner of this model, how often and in general was there , when setting a dark crust, disabling hp and how it looked. For some reason, I have it in different ways, yesterday the error was E2, the menu was just reset to zero, i.e. the menu became as if I had turned on the hp, after I set it immediately, toko baking after 15-20 minutes, the error E2 was again told. I use the current main accelerated program.

P.S. I don't go to the store right away for three reasons.
1. The store is a bit thin.
2. I would like this particular HP model (I liked both the design and functionality)
3.The change will most likely not work, since the store seemed to have the last one, but other stores do not have such a model. (when I took it all I called)

Better not to rush.
There are no analogues in terms of functionality and quality.
Still high-quality Panasonic, but it is not programmable.
You can temporarily give the lady flowers, give yourself and sweets and wait a month, it's better.
And the light bulb was easy to replace on your own.

So, what is not clear to you?
Pour milk and sourdough, put on the necessary heating and you have 5 hours for fermentation with heating.
As soon as the yogurt is cooked, after 5-8 hours, shake it out for eating.
With oil, everything is the same, only you control the batch.
You can read how all this is done in HP in the section

Hello bakers! I read it. Registered. I decided to share.

1. Choice. At first I doubted the need for HP for a long time.

I went to buy all in doubt. November 9, M. Video on the Garden Ring. I chose the simplest of what was - the first HP, I need to practice.
She squinted at BORK. I bought SUPRA. I baked bread 8 times. Everything is wonderful. On the 9th, she got up - the display is shining, the programs are turned on, the heating element is heating, the motor does not work and the dough does not knead. And two weeks have passed! I found the phone number on the check, called the store, explained the situation. They said to bring it in for repair.
And I don't want to eat store-bought bread anymore! Drove away on November 27. They turned on, looked and immediately returned the money!

And I bought BORK.

2. Operation. I immediately studied the passport - the technique requires respect and careful handling.
(Everything is written in the passport! Read not diagonally!)

Works great. Kneads the dough perfectly. BUT! After two baking, the scapula peeled off at the points of contact-collision of the folding parts. The non-stick coating is not intended to be used internally and I called the store. They said to bring it. Drove a shovel. Replaced in five seconds.
HA! The second scapula is peeled off after three uses. I called, drove, changed. I was advised to use a jam spatula. I did so. The bread is wonderful. I wonder what will happen to this scapula now?
And the new one is foldable, already the third, is wrapped in a branded orange napkin - suddenly it will come in handy.
Tatiana A. S
Another thing. Where did you get 14 t. P.? I bought for 9690 rubles. (really got to the discounts).

I really like this bread maker! Presented to NG, since then I have been baking homemade bread almost all the time. Everything turns out well, some small flaws associated with an imperfect water-flour balance, I think, will be eradicated over time. But even taking into account my exactingness, the bread turns out to be very tasty, it is always stirred and baked! It's great that you can program and record your own modes and modify the factory ones! Give freedom of creativity!

Of the minuses: the spatula does not always sink to the bottom, and bread is obtained with effort, but apparently many HP have such a problem. The second point: after studying the forum, I found out that after the first kneading of bread in other bread makers there is a pause ... There is no such thing in this bread maker, and there is no pause function in the middle of the program, so you need to manually stop and after the right time start a full-fledged program. Accordingly, the delayed start cannot be done according to all the rules, since after the first batch, the second one immediately follows. On the other hand, even before the forum, I tried several recipes from the attached book, on the main program and whole grain bread - in general, they turned out well, so maybe I'm too bothering ...

It's not entirely clear with a delayed start ... Did any of the owners make bread in the morning? It confuses me that the water will mix with flour and yeast much earlier than the program starts and how this will affect the bread is not clear ...

I am completely new to baking. We bake 2 months in total. And mainly according to the standard recipes attached. But ... I bake all the time with a delayed start. I put it off so that the bread is ready by 5 in the morning and is already a little cold for our breakfast. Excellent!!! This is how it is done. You count how many hours until the moment when the bread should be baked. For example, I bet at 9 pm and want to be ready at 5 am. This means that I am delaying the start by 8 hours.
Tatiana A. S
Hello!

This is what happened to me with the replacement of the scapula: I used a spatula for jam twice when baking bread and did not do it again - a very noticeable knock was heard when kneading the dough. So I put in a dough spatula and use it. True, this blade peels off less than the previous ones - maybe it turned out from another batch, with a better coating?

myshla! Maybe in vain you are wise with a pause between batches? I have been using this stove for more than a month now and have never had any problems with mixing! What such programs are in the HP of other firms - I do not care. I use recipes (for now) only from the attached book.

I used the delayed start. It worked great: I laid down all the products, chose all the necessary parameters and launched it with a delay. And I assure you - flour, water and yeast did not even think to mix by themselves - only with the help of a spatula, when the switch-on time came and the mixing according to the program began. (Since I was very curious, I slept and kept my ears on top of my head, heard how the engine started - very quietly, by the way - and ran to look at the process. So the whole batch and stood next to the HP - I watched through the window.) Moreover, the yeast relies on put on flour and in water they will not get into the mix before mixing! The fact that the bottom layer of flour gets wet is also okay, it will be kneaded as usual. The bread is wonderful!
I wish you to enjoy the delayed start calmly and with pleasure!
And so that HP does not squeak at night, the sound can be turned off.

And also, about the ratio of flour and water. For me, the easiest thing was to weigh everything on an electronic scale. Recommend.
Olga_M.
I have a BORK X800 bread maker please tell me how to bake Borodinsky what programs should I use? I would be grateful if you could give a step-by-step answer!
lluna08
Olga, I baked "Borodinsky, the same" from v_v_su - look in the topic, there I reported what and how I did and what was crowded. Wonderful bread, great recipe and lots of nuances painted. Take the time to look over the topic if you want rye breads.
"Whole wheat" mode (page 33 of instructions) - used for bread containing "... rye flour". I did not correct the program. Received ь great. Do not forget to leave the bread on the heating for an hour after baking and only then take it out of the bread machine.

Interestingly, the owners complain about the poor accessibility of the scapula from the bread - I have no problems, it folds itself in the process and just slips out of the bread, without requiring special interventions from me. At first I even tried to take it out in the process (as they write on the forum), but since the hole in the bread worries me much less than the need to plunge into the dough, in the end I stopped bothering with it.
I am very pleased with Bork, especially since I also bought at the stock price. Claims 0, today is a lifesaver and salvation from many problems.
