I studied many recipes for drying tomatoes and the one that I posted above, I think that it is one of the best, but this is my opinion.
Out of fifteen tightly packed pallets, I got 4 jars of 0.39 ml. , but the weight of each jar is 720 grams. Heavy! And the tomatoes went into a 20 liter container (yellow small basin)

I will not repeat the recipe itself, but rather I will share the next findings that simplify the work with cooking dishes associated with the dryer.
1. I cut tomatoes with a special cutter for tomatoes, I think that it is in many crockery stores, they just do not pay attention to it.It is very convenient and fast to cut. In Khabarovsk we have them in stores.
2. The recipe for the spice collection was previously done independently, but the last time I saw a specially selected ready-made collection and I liked it very much for its composition. Here is the photo below.

And of course, one of the easiest and quickest recipes for a sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes.

Take the "creeps" sandwiches, I think that they are available in all supermarkets.
Wash and dry fresh spinach (about 100 gr.) Sprinkle with grated hard cheese, or any cheese and put in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
Put lettuce leaves on the sandwiches, put a mass of spinach and cheese on top and put sun-dried tomatoes on top.
The breakfast is amazing! It takes 4-5 minutes to cook.

I also think tomatoes, but marshmallows, fruits and vegetables are not. Dried mushrooms seem too tough to me after boiling, so boil them cool and freeze them with broth.
If the meat is not quite evenly dried, then everything should level out during the aging process, or am I mistaken?

Regarding the adjustment: I think that smooth adjustment is not essential or not. I have Isidri has 3 modes (35-50-55 * C), and Orson has a smooth adjustment with a step of 1 * - and this does not mean anything by and large. Anyway, we expose approximately 40-45-50 and so on, that is, in whole numbers. I mostly use 45 and 50 * C in Orson.

You just need to understand the capabilities of each dryer, adapt to the mode of their operation, and what you can get from them in each mode - and everything will work out.
