Yes? Just in time. I just had a loggia without a window sill, and my neighbors had a narrow window sill. And I liked them better. And I haven’t dealt with panoramic windows yet, so I’m groping for now. Then only the surface of the chest of drawers will remain on the left. Well, put flowers there ...
Tanya-Fanya
I am also against the windowsill!

Anya, you don't have a window! So what could be a windowsill
Instead of a window sill, you have a floor - this is where the window ends.
Anna67
Anna1957, I have a diameter of 90. I wouldn't mind 80. Although, of course, depending on how many people and what to put on the table, I do not like tables full of food.

Anya, this is a panoramic window. I also have a French window in the living room, that is, to the floor. It always attracts the eye, cutting it with a wide horizontal line is not pleasant to the eye. And why do you need an extra surface there? Put a cup of tea? You decided to sit at a table there and meditate :-)
Anna67
Well, this is not my window, but it's a pity to cut the panorama, yes.

All the girls convinced. I will not make a window sill

No, a small round table there simply asks to sit on the veranda, in front of a panoramic window, relax with a coffee ... Rather, you can do without a window sill.By the way, it is quite high, for use as a table will not work. The loggia there is almost square, on the right, up to the ceiling, a cabinet 40 cm deep, and on the left - like a chest of drawers up to the middle of the glazing height (there will be a cold cabinet). And the square middle is 2X2m. I want a table on 1 leg, choose the diameter. I lean towards 80cm. Or even 70 It is necessary that the chairs do not interfere with the opening of the cabinet doors (50cm). Or still make a compartment - the mechanism will take 8cm. Shelves with the depth of the upper kitchen cabinet will remain - nothing like that either. Then the table can be made exactly 80-90.

Anh, but the version of the semicircular table does not work for you. Perhaps even folding, that is, the second semicircle unfolds if necessary. Then you can have a slightly larger diameter and play with the design.

lira3003
Hello everybody! So I was puzzled by the choice of the kitchen. Do not throw slippers right away, but Classic style. But what to choose facades from? ... My husband liked the idea of a solid wood kitchen. I found an eco-furniture salon, even painted and calculated. With a size of 1800x3000, the price was not much more expensive than mdf with film. Solid birch. But ... how will these facades behave in such an aggressive environment as the kitchen? Is it possible to install the DS under the stove, or is it better to put it in a column near the refrigerator? Or not consider birch at all? Tell me, who knows, pliz ...
The most important thing for me is that the facades do not peel off, or rather the film, I would have both white and green ..... And my husband, a lover of the classics, will have to compromise. I want to make a kitchen once and not return to this topic for a long time, I even persuaded my husband to get a loan (although it is not known whether the bank will approve or not, there were no loans).
Ninelle
Rita, and what the classics is bad? Regarding the solid wood - I have a second kitchen like this, and from pine, the first one was plowed for 5 years and we left it in the old apartment as new. And this despite the fact that it is all completely wooden: frames, facades, shelves. What is good about wooden furniture: environmental friendliness, durability, beauty of natural wood cannot be compared with any decorative film, the ability to revive without problems. Mom had a kitchen, a kitchen with film facades made of MDF, did not stand even for two years, turned into rubbish, with a very neat and careful attitude. The only thing is that my old wooden kitchen was additionally varnished by my husband as soon as we bought it. And we had a stone sink and a stone countertop, carefully glued and sealed with silicone sealant.
Birch is a fairly durable material. I have an oven under the hob. I love everything about a wooden kitchen. Even bread smells different there. When we were selling an old apartment, all buyers, like one, fell into the kitchen, I always smell of coffee and bread there, and what a cozy atmosphere is created by furniture made of natural wood!

by the way, now I will serve my new kitchen, if anything, knock on PM

lira3003
Ninelle, thanks for responding! And besides you, is anyone in charge? Well, there, cooking, washing dishes? As soon as I leave for work, my sons begin to wash the dishes, so the spray is flying! ... Let's put the PM, 60. I'm tired of fighting with them., Their hands are only sharpened under the keyboard ...
I wonder if there is a difference in the solid pine and birch? And how to wash facades, just wipe them? What kind of varnish did you use? Or does it matter? Excuse me, questions like interrogation
Ninelle
RitaExcept me everyone is in charge: mom, husband and child (6 years old), you yourself can imagine that when my daughter and I are baking, even the front door is in flour!

The kitchen was covered with three types of varnishes, inside with yacht varnish, invisible parts: below, behind and on the sides with water-based varnish for baths and saunas (similar to kefir), and the facades with parquet varnish.
I washed it, and wiped it, and soloed, and what I just didn’t do with it.
As for the difference between pine and birch, I got confused in the selection process. It was based on the experience of my friend, we studied in the first grade, when they got a new apartment, and having toss with the agony of choosing kitchens (then few people could afford the right to choose, they could), so they chose a pine kitchen. Then her friends' parents built a house, and they gave her the apartment, she changed absolutely everything, but the kitchen left the old one, called the grandfather of the carpenter-carpenter-cabinetmaker, he cleaned it up, polished it, lacquered it and it shone better than before, and a year since its purchase passed 25, very heavy use.

lira3003, Rita, we ordered our kitchen in eco-furniture, long ago, in 2001, in a classic style, made of pine, the color of walnut, it was then called margarita (it seems that there is one now). They did it on time, brought it in and installed it on the same day. The quality is excellent, nowhere, nothing flakes off (I mean where the chipboard is). But nevertheless, pine is a soft tree, and over time, small scratches and chips began to appear in some places (no matter how you try to handle it carefully, you will still touch something, knock it). Probably, it was not for nothing that they abandoned pine in eco-furniture and switched to birch and oak. But at first everything was great, beautiful and no problems. After 10 years, I wanted something for a light kitchen, I looked at different options on the internet. And the thought came to me, shouldn't we just change the facades. I call the zomebel, I ask, they say: come, we will help, we will pick up. My husband and I took a drawing of the kitchen, went, looked and chose new facades. They ordered it, took it themselves, the husband himself changed the old ones to new ones (the dimensions of the facades are exactly the same). Now we have a "new" kitchen for 2.5 years. I can't say anything about birch, but pine is still soft, there are traces of careless use, and the darker the color of the furniture, the more noticeable it is. I also wanted to order a birch, but there was no color, as I wanted, they took a cappuccino oak, well, I really like it! It is very easy to wash, I wipe it with a "mister propper", if any specks are not immediately wiped off, then with a "sif" lightly, without fanaticism. If I helped something, I will be glad. Good luck with your choice!
Tanya-Fanya
lira3003, Ritulik, hello!
What pleasant chores you have- :)))) or rather, while you are choosing, rushing about, arguing and trying to find a middle ground with your beloved family members - a lot of nerves. But sweat, when everything is set and inserted, everything is hung up and laid out, happiness comes! It is baked here, washed here, cooked there, washed here ... thank you ... and I can chat with the girls-bakers on the forum! So breathe out, breathe deeply again and let's build / design your kitchen-;)

The spray is flying at everyone. Don't be nervous about this. And your boys are great, they wash the cups after themselves.
I will not say about MDF. I wanted glossy plastic. MDF is very dear to me, but I agree that it is more environmentally friendly. Although, if I understand correctly, there will be only facades of MDF, and the rest of the cabinet walls are as environmentally friendly as for plastic and other materials.
I was persuaded to use ash veneer. White cold color with barely noticeable sparse circles from tree growth -;) count! It's white, and even the handles are integrated, that is, there are no handles visually. I just wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth and that's it! I cook beets every day, of course, there are drops, but there are no problems, everything is removed with a damp cloth.

about the oven. If the size of the kitchen allows, then the oven must be with a column at chest level. You and I are young girls, you need to keep your knees and your head. While I was testing the new oven just on the table (the renovation was delayed) I was very pleased! But when they built it into place under the cooking room, then I felt the whole difference! The girls from the bread machine have written about this more than once. But my area does not allow me to make a column.

You would show me a detailed plan of your premises. Here you will be prompted a lot of clever things.
Good luck, Rituelik!
lira3003
makc87, Ludmila, oh, it's good that they didn't rustle by! Thank you! Otherwise, no one has an array, so our own people do not know anything. And for the experience of shopping in eco-furniture, thanks too! And you can show, if it's not difficult ...
Tatyana, Tanya seems to have a place, only there is such an appendix to the kitchen, called "husband" .... he took my brain out of my mind, does not want to install the DSh in the column, but I am still struggling
I can't download the plan, there is only a screen. I need to take a picture at home, after work, then I'll post it, ok? In words, the area is 12.9 sq. m with a bay window.
Tanya-Fanya
Well, Rituelik, everything is as if it were written "you need to negotiate with your husband." Mine, too, resisted on certain points ...
Rituelik. You have a great area! Also a bay window!

Sure! Birch is much harder, but lamellas are made of it. atthe same.

Rita, I have an ash array. I really like it, but it is more expensive than birch. You can ask your friends about oak and alder, about birch, you can also ask around from sellers in the salon.
lira3003
Belka13, Olya, I don’t want to ask the seller for something ...
In the salon, where an array of ash and alder from Belarus, I will ask if I can get there ... but they will say navryatli that birch is better. They don't have it. And in eco-furniture there are only oak and birch. Did you also additionally varnish the facades with varnish?
Belka13
Ritaif I'm not mistaken, ash and oak are the strongest. Therefore, they are the most expensive. Sellers shouldn't say that birch is better. But they can talk about its cons. They told me about pine that it is soft, and birch, perhaps, has other disadvantages. Or maybe they are insignificant.
I remember that I also rushed about in search of a few years ago. I liked cherry, alder, oak and ash. But I have a kitchen on the north side, the window is small, so I needed a light wood. Ash looked best in this color. He has a more delicate drawing. The oak still seemed rough.
Look for reviews about birch furniture, maybe you will dispel all doubts.
We did not cover the facades with anything. They are already smooth.
makc87
lira3003, Rita, I’ll try to take a picture, but I’m with the technique for "you", or I’ll ask my son. I'm afraid the phone will not have very good pictures.
You can type in the internet "kitchen solid oak with patina", there are many pictures.

No, if they are compressed normally, they will not dry out. just narrower stripes will be visible than in furniture made of oak, ash, etc.
Here you can see that the shields are spliced from rather narrow lamellas.

But this also shows that this is precisely an array, and not films or veneer.

In general, I like Ecomebel in the classic line.
Pay attention: they have 2 standard sizes of the lower base - if my memory serves me, then 85 cm and 93 cm (or 97?).
If your family has adults taller than at least 160 cm, then it is better to take a higher base, it is more ergonomic.
By the way, do you know how to determine your optimal working surface height?
It is necessary to press to the body, bend the arm at the elbow and substitute a fist under the elbow. The lower level of the fist will be the optimal level of your working surface.
Good luck!

Girls, advise, what material is better for the sink Composite granite (Granula firm) or cast marble (Dr. Gans)? And what about the hob - stainless steel, tempered glass or glass ceramics? There used to be black tempered glass. Now we need a gray color, so I hope there won't be so many problems with chafing. I want the grates made of cast iron.
Tanya-Fanya
Vinochek, about Granula: put a square light beige-gray speckled. I like the depth of the sink. But the surface is heavily painted. And this is annoying. We often have to use chlorine-containing products, otherwise it will not rub off. The instruction prohibits doing this. Therefore, now I would take the same sink, but in a darker color. We have bad water, maybe this is also the problem.
Vinochek
decided on the sink. Chose from cast marble, which fit perfectly to the countertop.
