Poppy-orange pie

Ingredients

Dough:
glass 250 ml
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tea. baking powder
230 gr butter
1 cup of sugar
3 eggs
200 gr sour cream
1/2 cup dry poppy seeds
Impregnation:
3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
3/4 cup sugar
zest of one orange

Cooking method

  • Mix flour with baking powder, set aside. Beat butter with sugar until creamy white. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in half the flour. When the mass is evenly stirred, put the sour cream, and then the second part of the flour. Stir in the poppy seeds.

  • Lubricate a detachable form with a diameter of 20 cm (I made in a form of 26 cm) grease with oil, lay out the bottom of the form with parchment paper and also grease with oil. Put the dough in a mold, smooth it and bake at 180 ° for about an hour. Check readiness with a stick. If the stick is dry, your pie is ready!

  • While the cake is baking, soak it. Put the orange juice with zest and sugar on the fire and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Try not to boil.

  • While the cake is hot, puncture the entire surface with a wooden skewer. Carefully pour in the cooled impregnation and leave to cool in the mold.

  • The pie is moderately moist and delicious!

A special thanks from my home guy (he loves poppy seeds for me) ... But in general, everyone liked the cake, only I added less sugar both to the cake itself and to the impregnation.
And I also cooked lazy dumplings for dinner for my friends, so I never would have thought that it cooks so quickly, but eaten even faster! Sternushka, made your pie. Unfortunately, he did not rise as high as yours. I think due to the fact that I had to replace most of the sour cream with homemade yogurt (I was going to bake, but sour cream turned out to be only 50 grams). And I got a lot of impregnation, but it was a pity to throw it away. But nothing, it tasted good. Thank you for the recipe! Next time I'll do it with sour cream. Baked in a slow cooker.
