The stove is already old, the topic is already empty, but maybe someone will respond ...

I will try to explain the problem:
Kenwood VM450 worked for 2 years, a bucket flew (what a surprise ), under the guarantee they gave a new one.
And now the oven does not bother everything! Quite a bit, but just so that it feels like the product is NOT READY.

And the bucket seemed strange, it is thicker or something, and a slightly different shape ... And not how to compare, the service took the old bucket.
I sin on the bucket, but in general - I can not imagine how she baked good, but it was not good.

Did anyone have this or similar? Has anyone come across this in practice, or knows about it in theory?
Love.
With my new bucket, everything is baked perfectly. If the bucket is thicker, try to program your favorite program with baking for 10-15 minutes longer, and the rest of the steps as usual.

I agree with Love - the stove is programmable, so we have the cards in hand.

And I'm happy with my Ken. Yes, I agree, the buckets flow, once a year and a half. I changed the first one under warranty, then I bought one for 20 euros and now I'll buy another one for the same 20 euros. I bought the stove itself in 2009 for 150 euros - 4 years ago. Kenwood BM450 is still sold and serviced by us.

Of course, if in Russia a bucket is 1800 rubles, then you won't buy it.

And in general, if you drive a "bucket flowing" into google, all kinds of brands come out and LG and Moulineks and Clatronic, etc., etc. - Ken is not the only one to blame.

And how Ken bakes bread suits me.

Why do I need Panas - without rye and dumplings

By the way, the buckets of the Kenwood BM450 are different. Today I managed to buy a new sample, it does not suit me, I will change it. There, on the bottom of the twist-lock, the hooks are different.

Be careful when ordering.

The people, for wheat-rye bread, which was discussed here a few pages ago, the presence of malt, 2 tsp. agram light, 2 tsp. panifarina - is it necessary? Are they widely available, in supermarkets or elsewhere?

I want to warn those who are going to purchase or have just acquired HP kenwood bm450. My husband decided to give me a gift by buying this stove (she is so beautiful, sensor, glass, backlight), I already have HP gorenje bm900w. So, when it was brought ... after a while, when it was frozen, I decided to thoroughly examine it, on the forum someone already asked such a question, WHERE IS THE FACTORY SERIAL NUMBER ??? Even if it was made there in China or somewhere near China, the number should still be there! Only I did not find it, neither on the side, nor above, nor at the bottom, although there was a sticker, but with different information. I called the store to ask if this could be so, in the end, the manager disappeared for a minute and said: THIS IS AN UNDERFORMATION AND IS CONSIDERED AS A WEDDING OF THE DEVICE. I was both dumbfounded and upset (it’s good that I didn’t start making bread for my breadwinner there). As a result, I will take it back.We will not take this anymore. Then go and show in which thread the service center the breakdown, they will say: name the serial number, but where can I get it? The next day, my husband and I decided to dash into the nearest megamarket, look, and then what are they standing there. We found this stove and looked at it too, even this number is not there! In general, be careful, dear forum users!

Today we bought a bread maker.

Among the shortcomings found:
- backlash of the blade for kneading - there is clearly a flaw in the casting mold, at least it seems to me that the blade should sit more tightly on the shaft;
- there is no serial on the bread maker. The store assured me that "13D17" is the serial (which I doubt) and there will be no problems with the service.

I hope to start baking tomorrow.

P.S. All Kenwood BM450 owners do not have a serial number sticker, or was it lucky for me and Olsu? Were there any denials of services when contacting due to the lack of a sticker with a serial number?

I am confused by such a short serial, because in such a combination of letters and numbers, the number of units of production is not very large.

Hi there.

I didn’t have a very good photo, it was shining. The serial number is embossed, but it is 5-digit with a letter in the middle.

This loaf was baked with a delay, which is probably why the spatula remained on the shaft and I pulled the bread out of the mold with difficulty.

Among the shortcomings, I would highlight a loud sound when pressing the buttons, I want to reduce it or turn it off altogether. The volume of the batch when the door is closed is not annoying, and there is nothing to compare with.

We bought a mixture "Borodinsky bread" from "S. Pudov" for testing. They cooked on the main program, weight 750 g, medium crust, the bread turned out to be a little uneven, but baked well. The taste is pleasant, though there are not enough spices.

He baked French bread according to a program close to Panas:

1. Temperature equalization - 20 min.
2. Kneading 1 = 3 min.
3. Kneading 2 = 30 min.
4. Ascent 1 = 32 min.
5. Workout 1 = 15 sec.
6. Ascent 2 = 1 h. 30 min.
7. Workout 2 = 15 sec.
8. Ascent 3 = 2 h.
9. Baking = 1 h. 6 min.
10. Heating = 0 min.
Total: 6 h. 1 min.

I took the ingredients from the recipe for ken for the weight of a loaf of 750 g:
water - 310 ml (replaced with the same amount of milk);
wheat flour - 450 gr;
salt - 1.5 tsp;
sugar - 2 tsp;
yeast - 1.5 tsp.
+ from the recipe for Panas added 2 tsp. butter.

Milk from the refrigerator, before being sent to the mold, stood at room temperature for about 1 hour. I put the butter from the refrigerator into the mold before starting the program. I started the bread maker in 20 minutes. As a result, the bread was baked, but it did not rise and the roof fell through.

Bread Maker Kenwood BM450

Bread Maker Kenwood BM450

I made 3 assumptions for myself:
1) Cold ingredients - 20 minutes of temperature equalization was not enough;
2) Early (before kneading) mixing yeast with milk;
3) An error in the program.

I ask for help and advice in determining the reasons for the failure.

Of course, a lot of liquid, so the roof has collapsed. About 20 minutes. - does not matter.
There is French bread in the set of programs, lay according to the norms from the instructions for Panas:
280 ml liquid
400 g flour
1 tsp Saf-moment (maybe the yeast was also not so hot)
salt, sugar, butter as usual
Try the standard program and the standard set, everything will work out.
I have Ken and Panas for 5 years, French in Panas is higher and more airy, the regime is different there, but in Ken, too, we get normal bread.
In general, the temptation to draw up independent programs was precisely the reason for buying the second HP.
At first there was enthusiasm, then it passed safely (played enough). But you need to get your experience, try, draw conclusions. Here are some of mine
I use only my own program for table bread, since there is no Rye regime as in Panas.
It will hardly work to simulate French as in Panas, because you only vary the time, and you cannot change the temperature regimes anyway.
There are enough standard programs for any fantasy, they have agreed both the time and the temperature, you can turn off one, switch to another in manual mode.
The declared programming is very conditional (for example, you cannot even make a simple Dough program, 10 minutes of baking will definitely turn on without your desire on the machine), but this is a good market feature, the name Programmable immediately appears and, accordingly, new customers.

Good afternoon everyone!
Bread maker Kenwood BM450.
I have been using the stove for several years (I don’t remember exactly, but a couple - for sure).
Until today everything was fine. Recently I noticed not very good pastries. Basically I use the 3rd program with an additional "30 min preheat" (as written in the instructions) for baking yeast-free bread.
I didn't pay attention to this stage before - everything was great. The heater is now cold at this stage. I just try it with my hand. Perhaps because of this, the baked goods have changed?
Question.
Tell me, users of this stove, is the ten (heater) in your stove warming up at this stage?

THANK YOU.

MANY THANKS for the consultation.
Somehow there was no reason to try, although it was logical to think that this should have been.

We'll have to do some repairs.

Taking this opportunity ... A little advice from a longtime user of this unit.
During operation, over time, for various reasons, you have to change the bowl (bucket) to a new one. Some users are confused by this. I hasten to reassure them that old bowls can and even SHOULD be given a "second life"! That is the question. During baking, the bowl heats up and over time the shaft seal of the agitator becomes unusable. Gradually, the dough along the axis of the shaft seeps down outside the bowl, which is a sign of its replacement. Having purchased a second (new) bowl, I use it only for kneading and for proving the dough, while moving the mixer to a new one. Only the axle sticks out in the old bowl. Before baking, I transfer the finished dough into an old bowl and bake in it. Thus, the old one is not thrown away, and, I expect that the new bowl will serve much more (several times) the previous one, since its oil seal will not be subjected to intense heating and plasticizers will no longer evaporate from it as from a new one. They have long since evaporated and it acquired other physical and geometric dimensions. And, most importantly, these plasticizers will, to a lesser extent, turn into bread and threaten our health.
For those who are interested in this advice, I can advise you not to interrupt the program, but to use the power button before turning on the baking mode of this program (it is determined: either according to the instructions, or experimentally). There is enough puffiness to transfer the prepared dough from one bowl to another.
Of course, this proposal is reasonable only if the oil seal in the bowl has become unusable.

Enjoy your creativity and baking

I will share my first impressions of the VM450. Before her, 4.5 years old was VM350 (I decided to replace it due to the bucket jumping out, I already wanted a stove with a modern lock mount).
In terms of the set of functions, it is similar to the 350th, but it was disappointing that the test programs cannot be put on a timer - for this reason, I immediately swept aside Panasonic, but after having studied the instructions for VM450, I did not find this anywhere. In VM350, these programs were set on a timer.
Now I want to check the programming, whether there is the same joint in the stove, as they write here in the forum (which throws 10 minutes for baking automatically) - so far I have programmed a dough program like 20 minutes. kneading - 1 hour rise (everything else is zero) - the total time is displayed 1h 20min. - I don't see a catch, let's see what happens in practice.
After reading the forum, I immediately checked programs 3 and 4 (whole grain bread and accelerated whole grain) - both programs are announced with a preview. warming up. There is no warming up, I calmly touch the ten with my hand. It remains to be understood whether this is the norm for VM450 or not. In VM350 everything was warmed up on 3 and 4 prog.
I also wanted to interrupt the running program - I did not find such a way, it keeps food very well, so well that I gave up waiting for it to fail after all.
Of course, I like the new stove in terms of external characteristics. The internal illumination is good, the lid is beautiful, the sensor buttons are comfortable, moderately sensitive.
I didn't really like the display - in the far corner of the kitchen, where I and the VM350 with gray numbers were not particularly visible, the VM450 with burning numbers is even worse - I thought that the entire display was shining here, but here only numbers, they are hard to see at an angle, only from above well.
The bucket is great. After the 350th which constantly pops up with ears, it costs so much, and it twists there quite tightly.
In terms of the noise level, I liked it, because in the old one, due to the attachment to the body with ears, the bucket rattled horribly, plus the sound of the engine and very loud tweeters. Here the stove beeps in a higher tone, more pleasant to the ear, and as I hoped, there is no such awful rattling of the bucket, that is, all the noise is made only by the running motor. Subjectively, it seems that the motor hums louder than in the 350th (probably because the power is higher), but the total noise from the stove is definitely less, and this is pleasing.

Turk
Hello everyone! And my bakery disappointed me, because it worked a little more than a year (bought in September last year). The following happened - in the mechanism on which the bucket is mounted, pins protruding upward fell off. First one, it feels like he fell off from the heat, after a while another. It is very disappointing, because I thought that such a technique should last longer ... Someone faced such a problem?
Turk
Thank you, scrolled through the beginning of the discussions, did not find your problem. Well, okay, apparently it is necessary to give it for repairs, although if it's expensive, goodbye HP ...

I continue to research a new bread maker (maybe someone will come in handy). In addition to the 3rd and 4th programs, I checked the programming of the so-called. warming up at the very beginning - ten does not warm up anything, the stove just stands at this stage. The owners of VM-450 (purchased in 2013-2014) also?
But how pleased I am that there are no jambs with programming in it - I can easily program any dough of any duration (for longer baking, for pizza and shorter pancakes) into my own program! Everything works as it should. Great Kenwood came up with this option!
In general, the stylish look, reliable operation, programming, comfortable clear programs outweigh the main disadvantages of Kenwood, such as noise and bucket breakage every 1.5 years.

Hello, I wrote here in October about problems with the bucket, and so, they replaced the bucket for me under warranty !!! , but! - I think this is not a regularity (after contacting other services), a happy accident, a new bucket has been waiting for 3 months, they said. that is not even in Moscow and ordered somewhere. The hooks of the new bucket are slightly different (here on the previous pages I saw a photo of the comparison), at the bottom of the bucket there is a casting marking - there is no old one, and it makes less noise during mixing (I usually put it in the morning). And during these 3 months we felt very well the difference between our own and purchased bread.

Save people! I bake bread in Kenwood for a long time, everything turns out fine. I just can't figure out the dough on dumplings, in Panasonic it kneads an excellent dough in 20 minutes. How to be with Kenwood 1 hour 30 minutes is too long. And share the recipe !!

JeanneHow long has your stove served you? Or rather a bucket?
glykoza
The stove will be 5 years old in the fall. During this time, I had 4 buckets. The first one, which was at the time of purchase, was changed a year later - under the guarantee free of charge. Then a year and a half later I bought a new one. A year ago I bought the last one, which still holds true. All buckets have problems only with the oil seal, which wears out from friction and high temperatures.

The last bucket, I think, will last longer, because I often knead in a bucket, and bake bread in a "non-standard form". That is, the oil seal does not heat up so often, it may not crumble longer.

By the way, I changed the buckets as soon as the oil seal began to leak. In principle, if you put the flour down (as I usually do), then you could use it for some more time. But since we have a well-established service and buckets of 20 euros are always available, it's easier for me to buy a new one and not bother with the "droplets" below.
Mirabel
Jeanne, I have a 250th Kenwood, the situation is the same with oil seals. For 4 years, 3rd bucket. But the seovis is not altered and I order buckets in England for about 30 euros with the shipment coming out.

Program crashes due to poor contact. I took it to the service provider - they returned it with the resolution "The breakdown was not confirmed". Krivorukie freaks apparently did not understand it at all. They turned it on and off and gave it away .... I want to try to climb in and clean the contacts myself, but it's somehow scary to climb without knowing the disassembly technology ...
sazalexter
Uroboros65If you take the warranty to the service again, leave it for long-term diagnostics, insist on your own.
These stoves also have problems with the controller board with the above symptoms, if you are an electronic engineer, you can take a chance, disassemble and try to find a factory defect, but I do not advise, what if this is the controller's firmware?
