So I have this beauty on my table - they gave it for the New Year! (Such an unexpected gift - there was no moral disposition to master new and theoretical training) I liked it very, very much, the beautiful design, the appearance inspiring confidence, while I bake bread only according to standard programs, the first bread turned out to be beautiful and tasty - I did everything according to the recipe book, measured it out with a measuring spoon, which is included, flour for e-mail. scales, blue dream-rye bread, baked Brioche-bread rose (750) to the very lid - I had to brown the crust in the oven, today I put 1/3 rye flour for the first time, so the top of the bread fell a little, but very tasty, tell me please , from wheat flour of 2 grades (today I finally found 2 and 1 grades,) someone bakes and on which program (I thought to use program 3 for whole grain), I will be very grateful for the answer.

Hello dear forum users !!!
I received such a wonderful stove as a gift for the New Year! Now I am studying this unit, as a result of which the following questions arose:
1. The dispenser does not open automatically (you hear a beep and a shock, but the lid does not open). It is installed in the directions of the arrows.
2. I can not stop the erroneously set program even by long pressing the button Stop.
Otherwise, the stove pleases, baked three types of bread
myjik21
Lyuban, try to press the button located on the right in the direction of the arrows on the removed dispenser, the flap should easily fold back, the button may be wedged. The second reason is not fully inserted the dispenser, the third reason is the pusher does not work. You can check it so remove the hatch turn on the program where the dispenser is used and wait until the time for opening the dispenser comes, the pusher must jump out, you need to be careful it jumps out for 1 second. For disconnection, try pressing and holding the (start-stop) key with two fingers for 20 seconds.
Lyubanya 1
myjik21, thank you so much for your answer, I'll go check the dispenser.

Help! Tell me! In the Kenwood 450 in any of the five programmable modes, baked goods turn on at the end! Is it for everyone or just mine? I set the time for kneading and proofing, I set the baking to zero, okay, and she writes the time for 10 minutes more and for these 10 minutes she starts to bake. She almost started a fire yesterday. She put the dough on a proofer under a rag, ran to the smell.
myjik21
Amra I have the same garbage I'll try to figure it out.
Amra
I put only zeros, except for proofing 1, I set a maximum of an hour. I reset the rest. And she puts out 1.10 and after an hour she turns on baking :-( apparently only mine is like that, with a jump. Nobody complained on the Internet. We'll have to drag it to the service :-(
myjik21
Try to change the program, leave 3 spreading the remaining zeros ...
Amra
I tried, but she had a minimum time of the first proofing of 20 minutes, zero does not work :-(

Hello to all Kenwood450 owners! Today I ordered a round bucket complete with a stirrer, tomorrow I should receive it !!!! Link: 🔗

Dear, tell me,

can you rely on the 450 model? Does the bucket not jump off the mounts? Does she knead everything from the corners of the form, or do you need to follow it and correct it with a spatula?

And in general, is it worth buying it instead of 250? (at which the bucket jumps off, and which itself does not always mix everything from the corners)) I know that the question is subjective, but suddenly you will advise ...)

Thank you!
upd. Something I read a lot of reviews and the desire to buy a new HP has disappeared .. maybe we will somehow finish it with a sledgehammer, so that there are fewer problems)) anyway, no stove will ideally knead rye bread or bread with bran on its own .. I will continue reading.I'll go to the store, feel it, maybe I'll come to some opinion ...

I kind of did not quite understand the question: "The bucket does not jump off the mounts"?
Holds tight - you can't tear

I use a spatula to remove the dough from the walls (not from the corners), but very rarely, I think, depends on the dough.

450 - I have a second bread maker. Pros - 1. bakes-bakes very well (apparently due to convection) 2. Design.
Minus - 1. there is no pause button. 2. Accidental touches to the top control panel are jamming the program (judging by the forum, not only mine). 3. There is no separate program for yeast-free dough. 4. There is no program with preliminary heating of the ingredients (it is, as it were, but heating due to the "room temperature"). IMHO.
darsergevna
iiirrraaa, Thank you)

I just didn’t see with my own eyes how the 450 bucket was attached. I have tin "ears" at the top, which may not hold the bucket during kneading, it jumps off, and the shaft below is spinning idle. Convection is great. It's a shame about yeast-free dough. But you can probably score one program for him? So? And if there is no program with heated ingredients - apparently, you also need to somehow achieve a result using programming? .. About kneading - pleased)

sazalexter, a good thing!)

but
-size
-price
-functional - I have a large electric oven with convection. Another, small, seems to be worth buying.

Although an interesting thing, of course ..

on page 5 92 the answer, in principle, describes this bread machine in detail
darsergevna
iiirrraaa, but here in general the topic turned out to be meaningful. I read with interest and think - is it worth changing my 250 for this 450, or not. Considering that the 450 bucket is fastened securely and the batch, as I understand it, is better. But the fact is that the HP is in my annex-corridor, which, without finishing (we are building-enlarging slowly), is accordingly gathering dust decently. And then there are wonderful cats that love to sit on it, as I don’t chase them. It is necessary to close and cover the stove during downtime. Therefore, the beauty of the 450 model is a minus for me, unlike my 250, which is generally not a pity in this respect ..

I thought hard ...
Amra
Can I reflash it? I do not like that it is impossible to program the time of kneading No. 3 and No. 4 for her, in 15 seconds she does not always mix the dough, and sometimes I want to turn it off. And the main thing is that it includes baking, when during programming you set "baking = 0", when you only need to knead and hold the dough.
Xavier
How well is this stove programmed? I am primarily interested in yeast-free and wholemeal bread, how well is the bm450 for this? I understand that almost any bread can be baked in any CP, the only question is how much you have to "interfere" with the process and do something with your hands, add, fill up, etc. I want maximum automation with rye yeast-free bread.

Thank you!
sazalexter
Matsu and Armenian lavash are not baked by any KhP. With wild yeast starter in automatic mode only Zojirushi Breadmaker BB-CEC20 https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=159825.0

Thanks for the answer! And if in programmed mode, bm450 is suitable for sourdough? And if so, "how much" is appropriate? Thank you!

Hello, here I am joining your ranks, today I bought this HP model .... now only one thing frustrates, I managed to buy it for 8999 rubles in "media March" with an average price on the Internet of 6500 rubles
6 in the morning, and I started the second batch)) I can't stop, I am completely delighted with her
There is still a question about the quality of the kneading, 2 walls diagonally do not want to collect flour, the first time I helped her manually, but probably in vain. after all, with the second stirring of the dough, the tremors become much larger and she will probably collect this flour too and knead? please answer users of this model
I hold on with my last strength so as not to try the first loaf baked in it now, the smell is intoxicating and beckoning ... I'll probably run away to sleep until my willpower falls asleep and gives up
Arnica
With the acquisition of you! Let you please with fragrant bread!
Usually, a silicone spatula is used to help the bun (to scrape off the walls). in my opinion, if you don't scrape it off, it sometimes dries up and bakes in the finished bread, a little ugly.
lunova-moskalenko
Eugene, congratulations on your purchase. At first, I also had flour, but it did not affect the baking process. Now I pour out the flour neatly and it does not remain on the walls during the kneading process. Plus to everything, when I pour oil, I chatter along the walls, well, like I lubricate the walls of the mold and everything is fine. If you are in the process of baking bread at home, you can use a silicone spatula to pull off all the flour to the center. I still often in the process after the last stirring take out the spatula and then the hole is almost not present in the bread.
Arnica
And we remove the spatula. True, you need to monitor the amount of mixing. And somehow my husband took it off, and she once again wanted to interfere

Well, didn't the bread get any worse? I also had this several times. I just already learned on what programs when the last batch, so I calmly catch these moments.
Arnica
I didn't seem to.

Hello. We bought this model yesterday. Long chose between her and the Panasonic 2502, but all the same they took Kenwood. Immediately we tried and baked white bread in 1 mode. Everything turned out great! But my only wish is a little sweeter. Everyone in my family has a sweet tooth! Can I add more sugar to the main recipe? And I also did not find a cake baking mode in the programs. I was very upset. Can a cupcake be baked in this bread maker? I would be very grateful if someone from the members of the forum would suggest a recipe!
Rita
Sugar can be added and the muffin can be baked "brownie" or "sweet bread".
Natali81
Thank you so much! I'll try it today.
lunova-moskalenko
I baked all the muffins most often on sweet bread, if, of course, I needed to do it with a batch. And if you have already mixed everything yourself, then just put out the baking and the time you need for it. I did just that. I have a round bucket on purpose.
Natali81
Thank you very much! I will experiment! Please tell me, where did you buy the bucket? Would you like to buy too?

Oh, it was almost immediately after buying a bread machine. But I recently saw a round bucket in Eldorado. In general, I think it is in service centers. Current there you need to watch the mount. When I bought it, I wrote off the number from an ordinary bucket and they sent it to me.
I found it quickly, but I remember exactly that mine was cheaper.

Just ask in a search engine and you will find 100%.
And in your profile it is not clear where you are from, from Russia or Ukraine? Or maybe from somewhere else. You would show your location.
Natali81
Thank you all for the information! I live in Russia, the city of Lipetsk. We also have Eldorado. I'll have to drop in there one of these days.
Love.
I bought a round bucket from the Media Market.

My Kenwood 450 bread maker is three years old. I bought a "gray" one for France with a set of dry yeast and a booklet in French. It still works flawlessly.Recently the question arose of buying a bread machine for a summer residence, I thought for a long time and decided to buy a Panasonic 2500. My soul asked for an update. To be honest, in Kenwood the worst thing is his bucket. Since we make bread daily, it lasts for half a year, then it starts to leak. Now they already want 1,700 rubles for the bucket. And given that the fastening of the bucket has changed (this is the third type of fastening to the 450 model), then you need to buy crap that twists the bucket (sorry, I don’t know exactly how it’s called) So I decided to try Panasonic with its "legendary" buckets from diamonds
At the same time, deciding to leave at home, what to like more, and take the second to the dacha. I must say that Panasonic bakes very well. My first egg bread on Panasonic turned out to be taller and more aesthetically pleasing than the one on Kenwood. I tried the dough for dumplings and a cake and baked and ... but left Kenwood at home. Why? The answer lies in time, standing in Panasonic eats up from 30 to 60 minutes or more, and this is sometimes (for the house) an unaffordable luxury. Almost at the beginning of the topic, they tried to bake French in Panasonic and Kenwood. It turned out higher on Panasonic, yes it is, but the French on Panasonic is done for 6 hours, and on Kenwood only 3 hours 40 minutes - you catch the difference. Kenwood has a programming mode and if you really want fluffy French in 6 hours - drive it into your program and you will have a choice: French fast and French 6 hours And of course 450 in the kitchen IMHO looks much nicer

There is a program. No. 3
BUT! At first, I also did not understand what was wrong. But, having bought Kenwood VM256 for my parents, I realized that preheating just did not work for me on program number 3. After six months of butting with the service, the employee confessed to me that the 450s all have such a problem, a bad module.
In all other programs, everything is baked perfectly.

On the third day of use, the backlight stopped burning, and the preheating after 3 (!) Repairs in the service turned on every other time.
The money was returned.
Now I'm thinking what to choose. Can Gorenie VM1400.

This is when the gland (where the pin is located on which the dough mixer is put on) begins to pass the liquid into the bucket attachment when rotating. I got such a black burn there right away. And over time, the pin begins to jump out of the bucket. Take a bucket in your hands and feel the rubber band, so it starts to flow. For me, it seems, for 4 years or 5 years (I don't remember exactly), it started to leak and I immediately bought a new bucket. She did not risk it, although the old one can still be used.

The heating works for me at 450, but only when the ambient temperature is below a certain value. I can't say exactly at what degree it turns on, but when I tried to cool the stove by putting it in the open window in winter and turned on the heating after that, there was heating. After that, I came to the conclusion that this is the same as in Panasonic alignment (the heating is not always turned on there either). But my stove was made for France, maybe they didn't cut it for the French.
If there is any Muscovite who has problems with the bucket, now in MediaMarkt there are round buckets 51002 at a price of 1499 rubles. On the store's website, look for the name "round bowl 51002"

I could not resist and tried again. He opened the stove, took out a very cold pack of oil from the freezer and for several minutes (about 2) brought it to the temperature sensor (this is on the back of Kenwood, it is fixed with a screw). Then he turned on the stove (this time not in mode 3, but programmed mode 1 "Basic", but added heating for 30 minutes). After about a minute (not immediately), the heating element turned on and began to heat up.
Conclusion: Heating mode works exactly the same as standing in Panasonic. And if you want to bake bread before standing it, then program the program (rewrite any mode and add heating). Will you Panasonic
Now a few words about convection. The forum says that it was made solely to compensate for the glass cover, because of which the heat comes out and the top is not baked. So I have a question. I doubt it very much, because, firstly, I know several ovens without convection (and with a switched off fan), which have one layer of glass on the door and bake perfectly. Secondly, in Kenwood 260, as far as I remember, there is also a fan, and the lid is without an inspection hole. And why was the fan installed there then? Convection does its job and it is thanks to it that you can safely fill in cold ingredients and not do 30-60 minutes of heating. The experience of CP operation without convection and standing confirms this.
In general, Kenwood 450 is a very advanced bread maker, it can do a lot, but you need to understand that it is for the realization of all its capabilities that there is a mode for 5 user programs. Sometimes it is not at all necessary to write "Pelmeni mode" in order to cook the dough for these very dumplings - use the programming mode. Just press a few buttons once and you will have the "Pelmeni" mode
P.S. Today I went to MediaMarkt on Rublevskoe highway and bought a round bucket. There are still about 3 pieces of 1499 rubles left. The buckets fit the "old" BM-450 models

It is difficult for me to judge, since I have not seen the scheme of bread machines, but I can assume that if we take the implementation of the algorithm of Panasonic bread machines (they were the first here) as the "basis for the principle of temperature equalization", it turns out that heating should be turned on only if the temperature of the ingredients below a certain value. Why the Kenwood 256 bread maker always turns on the heating, I can only guess. This may be due, for example, to a simpler temperature sensor that is not capable of measuring multiple values (i.e. it can only monitor the maximum baking temperature). Then it is quite logical to turn on warming up always where this mode is. This may be true since the 256 mode is 2 classes lower than 450.
