Yes, that's for sure ... it's all about the type of product used. In such cases, I increase the frying temperature (I do more than the instructions for frying fries recommend), but you need to control so that it does not start to burn. And you do not need to soak the potatoes, but just rinse them under running water, so the excess starch will be washed off and the potatoes will not pick up excess moisture. I once also tried to soak it, it finally turned out like a rag.
In general, in the production of frozen French fries, after cutting, they are dipped in boiling water and quickly washed under cold water, and only then frozen.

I have a free mode in MultiHotter. And we are with Strong studying it

Girls, who used such a Clatronic FFR 2916 fondue fryer?
Qween
marysichcaWhen I was choosing a fondue-fritut, I was holding Klatronic and Tefal in my hands. I didn’t like Klatronic at all - some weak performance, and sellers did not recommend it (I don’t remember why). Tefal is sturdier and more beautiful - took Tefal. Twice we tried to portray an evening with fondue, and were only disappointed.

This thing has a strange heating principle - at first everything boils and boils, and then the heating turns off and nothing boils. At the same time, the temperature of the contents of the fondue drops rapidly. Then it boils again, turns off and so on all the time.

The fondue with broth was especially disappointing - it really didn't work out to cook the meat because of this incomprehensible principle of the device.
On the burner - a hundred times better fondue turns out.

I don't think Klatronic is better than Tefali. IMHO

Please tell me if a deep fryer. for example, for 2.5 oils, is it necessary to pour so much or can you pour less (depending on the number of potatoes)?
And the second question: please tell me the brand and model of a deep fryer for 1 liter of oil with a removable bowl.
Thank you.
Hairpin
Sonex!
I recommend that you take not a deep fryer, devices with a built-in deep fryer function. I know two of them. MultiHotter or MasterPlov. In both cases, the bowls are removable, but you need 2 liters of oil. But since oil can be used ... well, I use three times ... And some of the used oil can be used in bread.
But besides the deep fryer, there are other functions ...
soneks
I have a monetary limit of up to 2000 rubles.

I do not know how much DeLonghi F 885 V costs now, but she and others like her for 1 - 1.2 liters of oil. This particular model with a removable swivel (inclined) basket (I have this model)

This model has a removable bowl, but it is no longer for sale. Most small and inexpensive butter cups are not removable.

Look, this one fully corresponds to your wishes. And little oil is needed, and the reservoir is removable, and the price is very budget. 🔗
But of course I liked this one more, but it is not clear whether it has a removable bowl 🔗

In any deep fryer (except for individual Tefal models), the product during cooking (it does not matter if it is potatoes or brushwood) must be completely covered with oil.
The first time, spend on 1-2.5 liters of oil. After it cools down, filter through a "non-woven". And store in a separate container until next time. In the dark and cool. And to use this oil in a bread maker - God himself ordered.

Until the next use of the deep fat fryer I have no more than 0.5 liters of used oil.
soneks
Not in this case. Just a 2.5 deep fryer is very oversized for my kitchen. And I don’t cook so many potatoes, for example, to fill in 2.5 liters of oil, even if it will be reused later. Space, no space in the kitchen. And the price is not in the last place (as well as the manufacturer) ;-)

Yes, I also do not treat Vitek very well, but in this case I was led to the fact that the annotation said that she had a removable bowl. And in both of these deep fryers, only 0.5 liters of oil is needed.
Hairpin
I also thought so at first, but ... well, it’s too painful she turned out to be small ... you can't stick in more than one wing ...

I feel better with MultiHotter. And in MasterPlovo I have not tried ...
natalka
Of course ... MultiHotter is definitely better! There are much more functions and two saucepans, but the price is not the one for which soneks calculates. But MasterPlov will probably not be so convenient. There the bowl is shallow, but very wide and you need a lot of oil (for the deep-frying function). Personally, I have never dared to deep-fry something on MasterPlov.
Hairpin
I didn't do anything on fries either in MasterPlov ... But I can't get rid of the thought that donuts will be more convenient in MasterPlov ... I'll have to attack donuts in MasterPlov at the weekend ...
Elenka
The husband wants a deep fryer. straight dies on fries! I looked closely at Vitek - a very budget option, 200g for 0.5 liters of oil, I was glad that it works like a fondue 2 in 1, you can also "play" with it
Does anyone have one?
And it is not difficult to drain their oil, there is a special spout.
I'm choosing for now ...
Hairpin
YES I HAVE SUCH !!!

The bowl is not removable there! Wash tortured !!! And neither the wings, nor the donuts are especially fried, because it's small. And then she broke away with MultiHotter ...

Spout ... spout ... get into this spout ...

Hairpin, I continue to ask: how long did the potatoes fried in it? And did it work at all?
The box says 400 grams per serving. The saleswoman said that she only fries potatoes for her son for about 5 minutes.
Knowing that the sellers are the first liars in the world (I don't want to offend anyone), I always question their words.

Hello everyone !!! Do not tell me how dough products are prepared in a deep fryer (pasties, pies, whites, etc.)etc.), products in batter, etc., generally not "dry", as recommended in the instructions for all deep fat fryers, but "wet" ... Do they stick to the basket? Or the basket does not need to be pulled out of the oil? It's just that, again in the instructions, it is shown that the products are first loaded into the basket, and only then the basket is dipped in oil ?! I ask, because I don’t have a deep fryer yet, but I will definitely buy it in the near future, I want, so to speak, to know for the future: umnik2: Thank you in advance for your help

Hairpin
1. I do not recommend dropping food in the basket. Just do not pick out the basket;
2. Personally, it's easier for me to leave large things (like donuts) without a basket, and then fish them out with a slotted spoon. The trifle is not caught, but ...
3. Still, I think that buying a deep fryer is not ice. Better to take MasterPlov or Multichotter. There is a free mode in their functions, among others.

The time to fry potatoes depends on the size and power of the fryer. In five minutes in MasterPlov or MultiHotter it is real, but in Vitek - never and for nothing !!!

Did all of the above in the deep fryer! I don't lift the basket, I put it directly in the oil! Nothing sticks
But on the 31st I made fish in batter (in small pieces) - it was spitting! Deadly molested!

And tell me, please, what is the average temperature in a deep fryer during operation? Here I want to put and use the experience as a cartoon deep fryer. I have two options - or 100 "for a couple" or 180 for baking. 100 I'm afraid it won't be enough, but 180 is not too much? I really want curd donuts.

Hairpin
Why is 180 a lot? Once I measured fries, I think it was up to 180 degrees and warmed up ... Where did I take these 180 degrees ... Now I'll look ...

Does anyone have a Tefal FA 7004 Snack Oleoclean model, or maybe someone watched it, what can you say about it? I just found her in one place for a little or little money they offer almost never used, I’m thinking - she can snag so that she lies and does not suffer already
Ernimel
I am reporting! They brought it to me after all. But they arrived late, and (although I really, really wanted cottage cheese donuts) I decided to postpone the flight test until tomorrow. Purely by the model, I can say that it is successful - it is completely understandable and everything except the wires is washed, including in the dishwasher. But. Although washing in PMM is stated in the instructions - the lid material and the outer coating of the bowl seem to be made of some kind of aluminum alloy, and as a result, it has somewhat lost its appearance. The oil filters itself - you move it from the stand with the electronics to the container and everything. Tomorrow we will find out what it is like at work.

Just in case, the question is - is it better to remove the net for donuts, or is it possible in it? According to the instructions, it seems like they write to shoot, but I read some of them throw it right at her ...
Hairpin
I make donuts without a grid. I don’t remember what I didn’t like about the net ...

Danger... Out of habit, take a spoon from the multicooker. Mine was cooked with donuts outright !!!

I got some fries for lunch. I definitely checked out the child, but I just suddenly realized HOW I missed fried potatoes ... You don't fry a lot with a toddler on your hands (and with a sling it's dumb - it suddenly splashes), plus the second one pulls all the time, only consoled herself that it is still more useful to stew and stew, especially for a nursing mother. And here is such a direct HAPPINESS after almost three years of conditionally healthy eating ...

As I put everyone to bed, I will sculpt donuts.

My review of the Mulinex fondue-fryer (I don't remember the model, but they have only one):

Quote: Nataly_rz

Qween, and the details? what exactly disappointed in this device? Is that such a small deep fryer with fondue forks? as far as I understand, only butter can be used for fondue in it ... well, like everyone chopped a piece of meat for themselves and fried right there

Nataly_rz, it's such a small deep fryer with fondue forks. I tried to make fondue with broth in it - such nonsense turned out. In general, this fondyushnitsa does not heat all the time, but catches up the temperature and is cut down, when it cools down, it turns on the heating again. And it boils strongly when it warms up. And so I put meat in it on a fork, this device turns off, the meat does not like it and it does not cook. Then it all turns on and boils like mad. In short, we played fondue in this fondue bowl 2 times and that was it.

Deep fryer: pros and cons

Ernimel, how much oil do you need to fill?

Since my husband loves fried in oil, I thought about buying a deep fryer. I need a deep fryer for pies, donuts, potatoes, whites, etc. Girls, who can say something about the vitek vt-1531 deep fryer? Here is a link to the 1531 description: 🔗... Well, or tell me the model of a deep fryer worth up to 3 thousand with a removable bowl. I wanted 1535, but then I read that it was not worth taking it. Help, completely confused in the models
Sens
ksuxa198721
in 1 liter of deep-fat oil you won't fry much!
for comparison: in 1 liter - 600g. potatoes are not frozen, or 350g. hen. That is, a family needs a volume of 2-2.5 liters.

Pay attention to Philips HD 6159 (I chose myself, but it's great for me) and Tefal FA 7004 (I have the same only less Tefal FA 7001, I'm happy).
ksuxa198721
Sens, where did you buy your tefal? How much does it cost? is there what volume and how much oil do you need to fill?
Ernimel
Ernimel, how much oil do you need to fill?
maximum liter.

in 1 liter of deep-fat oil you won't fry much!
Potatoes for two adults + a child absolutely enough. I don’t know how much comes out in grams, but a moderately full (that is, without a slide, of course, but not very empty) fries basket for 7 minutes. If two adults +2 children sit down, then I fry in two passes, just until the nursery cools down ours will get ready.

If someone is looking at this or a larger model of the same range - keep in mind this thing - there is an automatic built-in oil filter system. It is unrealistic to disassemble or wash it somehow (it is not removable, it is indicated not to disassemble it separately, although the handy husband can theoretically unwind and put it back). I took mine already used, not really delving into and purely to "try". But now I have a vague feeling that inside it must have gotten a bit tricky - the fat still settles, and even a dishwasher cannot wash it nomrally there, and even worse - detergent can get there, but how to wash it out? As a result, after each wash, I drain several liters of water through it, pressing the shut-off valve. And the bowl for butter itself is healthy, 2.5 liters, probably (despite the fact that the maximum filling is about 1/2).In general, this turned out to be some kind of bad system. This is all about Tefal FA 7001 Snack Oleoclean.

I think in the end to change this tefalk for something new, about a liter, with a removable bowl and so that it is convenient to drain the oil, but independently. The birthday is coming. I will gladly listen to reviews about suitable models.
ksuxa198721
Can anyone say anything about such a deep fryer? 🔗
Sens
bought in Moscow for 4t. R. oil - 1 liter, max potatoes. 600g., Everything except the bottom, on the cat. e-mail is served, you can wash in pm.
no problem, the oil drain is always clean.

I do not recommend the link.
Ernimel
no problem, the oil drain is always clean.
Here's how, I wonder, did you check that it's clean? The dishwasher will not completely spill these tubes - there is a valve that does not go anywhere and a thin tube. Try sticking, say, a cocktail straw plugged in on one side into the PMM. If you wash it with your hands, even more so. But the agent can stay there easily if it somehow got there. And it is impossible in principle to completely flush the oil drain under normal pressure, except for the perversions with the "filtering" of a certain amount of water. Only crumbs are deposited on the outer mesh, everything that is finer goes somewhere and remains somewhere (since the oil after filtration is more or less transparent and, as a rule, without precipitation).

I could of course be wrong. It would be very cool to look at the complete diagram of this thing to appreciate all its features. If they give a new one, then I will definitely smash this one and see what is inside it. But in any case, when it comes to a non-removable and "eternal" filter - usually the manufacturer is very cunning. And if, in the case of a vacuum cleaner, this threatens with a smell or excess dust, then the consequences can obviously be more disgusting. I am very confused by the topic of the constant passing of oil through a narrow and closed system.
