Spicy gooseberry sauce

Ingredients

gooseberry 1 kg
garlic 150 g
basil 50-100g
chili pepper 1 pc (1/2 tsp powder)
salt 50 g
sugar 150 g
ground black pepper 1/2 tsp
vinegar 6% 2 tbsp. l.
anise or ground star anise option

Cooking method

  • Delicious, aromatic and easy to prepare sauce. Collect and rinse gooseberries of any ripeness. Peel the garlic, cut the basil together with twigs, cut into a length of 4-5 cm, rinse everything well. The more basil, the more flavorful the sauce will be.

  • Scroll through a meat grinder first the basil and garlic into one container, then the gooseberries and chili peppers into another. The larger the grate, the more textured the sauce will be.
