Ingredients

Squid 2-3 pcs.
Cucumber 1 PC.
Eggs 2 pcs.
Small onion 1 PC.
Salt, ground black pepper taste
Mayonnaise taste

Cooking method

  • This is a very popular and very famous salad. But I didn't find it on Mcooker and decided to share this recipe with you, since Kamchatsky salad can be called a favorite dish not only of our family, but of all Kamchadals. It is prepared quickly and easily.
  • Peel the squid carcasses of films and put them in boiling water. Only the water boiled, immediately pull out the squid. I never cook them for a long time, they are very tender and soft.
  • Cut the onion into thin half rings, if desired, reduce the bitterness / pungency, pour over boiling water.
  • Cut the squid into strips.
  • Kamchatka salad
  • Wash the cucumber, cut into strips. Boil eggs and also cut into strips.
  • Kamchatka salad
  • Add all the ingredients together, season with salt and pepper, add mayonnaise and stir.
  • Kamchatka salad
  • Everything, the salad is ready!

I have known this salad since childhood. When in those distant years we managed to get fresh cucumbers, Kamchatsky salad invariably appeared on our table. Not a single New Year's table is complete and can not do without this wonderful salad!

Elena, on the New Year's table there was also such a salad, but with the addition of corn. I just cut everything into cubes, the guests could not understand what the salad was with. I cut squid into strips when I cook with browned onions.

The salad is great! But in my version there are two nuances (whoever wants, can try for a change):
- I take pickled cucumbers, or pickled ones;
- but most importantly - squid. After defrosting and cleaning, I cut them into strips and fry in vegetable oil for literally about a minute. It turns out much tastier, because the taste of seafood does not take away the water! Or another great option (for any seafood) is a double boiler! But then there is more fuss, but the result, that is, taste, justifies all the work!
