Len, what gelatin did you take? If you have a tendency to not completely disperse, beat the mass with a submersible blender for reliability (so that all the pieces of that are certainly). The mass should be decently hot (probably not hot enough). And some gelatins need to be soaked (read the pack). And that's why I didn't keep my form - I think just because the pieces came across. That is, the gelatin did not disperse and there was not enough "strength" to hold the mass.
