Mogilev style milk soup (lakshin)

Ingredients

potato starch 200 g
egg 1 PC
salt 1 tsp
water 250 g
milk 1.5 liters
butter, salt, sugar (in soup) taste

Cooking method

  • Lightly beat the egg with a fork, add salt and water, pour it all into potato starch and knead the batter

  • pour the dough into a preheated frying pan greased with sunflower oil like on very thin pancakes, constantly stir the dough before the next pancake because the starch settles

  • and fry on both sides, do not overcook, they should be soft, the pancakes will be white and almost transparent

  • we twist the pancake into a tube, and so each pancake I got 11 of them

  • then we cut the pancakes into rings, the cooled pancakes are easier to cut, but I cut warm

  • I got that much with 11 pancakes.
  • We boil the salted milk to taste (I always add water to the milk per liter of milk half a liter of water, I indicated only milk in the recipe) as soon as it boils, put the chopped pancakes there and cook for a minute after boiling again. Add butter and sugar to your plate to taste.

Here is such a milk soup in the storehouse of Belarusians, try and appreciate the very tasty and tender pancakes before they were cut and dried so that they would always be at hand, the milk will boil and the soup is ready. Why, in Mogilev way, history is silent about this. True, there is one thing but ... those who do not like jelly or, say, slippery dishes, so this soup may not like it.
