For a long time I dreamed of a small bread maker, and now the moment came when there was a good reason to buy one - my faithful assistant Scarlett SC-401 broke down. And on Ozone, REDMOND RBM-1908 appeared on sale in black and white versions at a reasonable price (well, all sorts of bonus points played a role). In short, I bought this baby.
The manufacturer positions it as "a multifunctional model - baked goods, cereals, main courses, desserts, jams, drinks, yoghurts - as many as 19 automatic cooking programs, including special programs for making dough."

Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908

Of course, I immediately tried to bake bread in it (but did not take a picture). Kneading, lifting, baking - everything is the same as in my previous bread maker, nothing new. After the second ascent, I took out the shovel, maybe that's why the bread jumped out of the bucket very well. The bucket itself remained practically clean - only a few crumbs remained on the walls. I wiped them off with a napkin, but I didn't even wash the bucket. The coating is different from what was in Scarlett: firstly, it is bronze-golden, and secondly, it is rough to the touch (maybe that's why practically nothing sticks to it?)

And today I tried to cook milk porridge in a bread maker: since there is such a function, why not check it out? I did everything as in the instructions and the recipe book (except that I reduced the proportions): I poured milk, added oatmeal (long boiling), sugar and salt, covered the bucket with a foil “lid” and chose the Milk porridge mode. By default, the time on it is 40 minutes, but I reduced it to 20 (as it turned out later, this was not enough). Ideally, of course, opening the lid and looking into the bucket was not worth it, but I could not help my curiosity, and I was afraid that the milk might run away and pour over the insides. Immediately, simultaneously with heating, a periodic admixture began: that is, a paddle every 7-8 seconds. did a quarter turn (about 45 degrees), and so on until the end of the program. Since I climbed into the bucket every 3 minutes, the porridge did not boil in 20 minutes, I had to add 20 more. In addition, it turned out that there was no boiling as such, it was more like languishing. But in the end everything worked out and cooked! I strongly doubt that in the future I will cook milk porridge in a bread maker, but now I know that it can be done.

Immediately after the porridge, I decided not to wash the bucket, but to knead the dough for the pies in it on the Yeast-free dough mode. That is, I made the dough with yeast, but then put it into a bowl to rise.
Here's a bun made of 400 g of flour.

Today I finally received it too)) Only the bread did not turn out quite as expected (((I made wheat, everything was according to the manufacturer's recipe, the crust should have been medium, but it turned out very pale .. But this is the first time I bake in a bread maker, so we will try))) I liked the HP itself, it is convenient, understandable)))

I made wheat, everything was according to the manufacturer's recipe, the crust should have been medium, but it turned out pale at all.
Milan, in this full cycle bread maker (kneading, raising and baking) very little time is allotted to the baking itself - about 50 minutes, it seems. I added 20 more.
leonich571
Is everything in the recipe book correct? I tried to knead the dough. Barely the blade turns. The sound makes it seem like the engine is about to burn out. I had to add water. The dough was still very cool. What is yeast, what is yeast-free.
This is my first bread machine. I know nothing, I can’t do anything. The first loaf had to be thrown away. Like MILANA's, the crust turned out to be very pale, in addition, the bread was not baked. The second, after carefully reading the instructions and your, OLGA, advice, turned out great. But the problem is with the test.
Biryusa
leonid, I have never baked according to the recipes of their attached book, I take the proven ones only from our website. Concerning the test: What did you do? Yeast? I would advise you to make the batch at the rate of 300-350 grams of flour, no more.
leonich571
And I did just that. Now the dumplings and dumplings from yeast-free dough turned out good, and the yeast pie still turned out mainly from dough. There is very little filling. Although I did everything like from a store-bought store.
leonich571
And what kind of signal sounds 38 minutes after the start of the Classic Bread program?
Biryusa
I think this is the time for adding additives to the dough (nuts, seeds, raisins ...)
leonich571
So it's not just me? Thanks for the information.

Biryusa, a really compact model of a bread machine. And nice design in the photo.
And how does this baby do with dumplings? And what is your general opinion about this unit?
I still can't choose for myself the first HP
Biryusa
Lily, the stove is not bad, but it turned out to be too small for our family. I like to bake bread in non-standard forms, and only one L11 fits into this one, not to mention L7. Even in my half-broken Scarlett I shove two L11s

These mini-loaves are obtained in L11, for scale I photographed them next to a tablespoon:

This is wheat bread with whole grain flour and bran

And very little dough for pies is kneaded in it.
I gave this stove to a relative, she lives alone, and this baby came in handy for her. So I never got to the dumplings dough. Now I am in an active search and preparing (morally and financially) to buy Panasonic

: girl-q: Hello! I don't have a bread machine yet, I just choose. I stopped at this option. Sorry for the question. When the dough is kneaded, it is only kneaded. And in order to fit, it must be shifted or does the bread maker create the optimal temperature and the dough fits in it?
sazalexter
Rinavil, everything happens automatically, only the laying of products and pulling out the finished bread with handles.
Rinavil
Perhaps I asked the wrong question. When I knead the dough not for bread, but for the cake that I will bake in the oven. Will the dough fit in a bread maker or just knead? And in order for it to fit, it (as in some of the recipes I have reviewed) it (the dough) must be pulled out and, as usual, sent to a warm place?
sazalexter
Rinavil, Wu this HP has a Yeast dough mode, after 1 hour, 30 minutes after laying the products, you will receive a completely ready-made dough for pies.
Rinavil
Thank you

Good evening, bakers! I bought myself a bread maker. And along with her, a bunch of questions appeared. Tell me, in Redmond 1908 there is a delayed start, but for some reason there is no way how it is included in the instructions. Can anyone already know how to do this? And so the stove is still being field tested. I didn’t bake classic bread on the main mode, although the dough turned out to be amazing. I'll try to add another half hour on the baked goods. And I will definitely unsubscribe about her work in other modes. Next week will be very interesting.
Veles
Good evening everyone! Results of this day: 1. The question of the delayed start has been removed. This is called read the instructions carefully. Checkmark buttons allow you to adjust the cooking time only in the modes - desserts, milk porridge, soup, stewing, yogurt, jam, baked goods. In the rest it works as a delayed start.
2. I tried to bake yesterday's bread again. Doesn't bake, even with an extra hour on baked goods. An attempt to blame everything on voltage did not work, because there is a stabilizer.
3. I just put the cake, the ready-made dough on the baking mode. We had to wait 2.5 hours. In the oven, everything is baked in 40 minutes, but here you don't need to stand near it. (Eh, the oven broke down at the wrong time).
The results are not encouraging. The husband, spoiled by the previous Panasonic, said that he was taking her to the service, let the specialists say their opinion. I, too, already look at it skeptically, they bought it in order to save time, but in fact you need to constantly dance like near a gas stove. And it's not a fact that everything will turn out well. In general, this baby disappointed me, let's see what the service says ...

Good day to all. We also purchased this bread machine after the old lg broke down. And she was upset. .. at the delayed start the bread does not work at all, on the old bread maker at the delayed start the water was heated and the bread was excellent. If the bread is baked without a delayed start, but without a crust. The crust is pale as death .... I have a feeling that the proportions in the redmond recipe book are not correct. Or maybe the flour and yeast need to be changed? Advise ...

Hello, a couple of days ago we bought this bread maker and I am terribly upset, nothing happens. Help me figure out what I'm doing wrong, or maybe it's in the oven itself? The inside of the bread should be white, but it should be yellowish. They put an additional 30 minutes in the baking mode, the photo shows that it seems to be not raw, but it is not ready either. .... But they ate ... although I can't say that it was really very tasty. Then we tried to make a cake from there, and orange bread.Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908 Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908The result is again not too happy for me. Today I made milk bread. But I changed the technology, since the bread did not rise at all - I made a dough separately and only then kneaded the dough in a bread machine and baked it, but it did not work out very well again. Please help with advice !!!

Use only quality flour.
Weigh all ingredients - on a scale. Except for "low weight" - yeast and the like, measured by tsp, the accuracy of the scales does not allow.
Also - quality "correct" yeast.

Yesterday we bought another flour, yeast, and learned how to make the right dough. In general, what happened. At the first stage of kneading, the bun looked like this Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908, second batch Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908, photographed in motion, later it was smoother, but not perfect. Well, then he got up, and too much. Although the proportions were strictly followed according to the recipe. Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908Well, after they pulled it out, it was a little blown away from us or something. The truth was pulled out in the morning, that is, the bread spent the night in the oven, the lid was closed - it was damp inside, the actual bread below was also slightly damp, but they pulled it out and the moisture was all gone after 15 minutes Bread maker Redmond RBM-1908... They made it according to the recipe "Airy bread" (I had not mastered the leaven yet, so I took a simpler recipe). And it turned out really sooo tasty. We will still train. It is upsetting that the crust is pale. But for the rest - I realized that the problem is not in the car (and this makes me sooo happy, because I don't like unnecessary red tape with exchanges and other things), the problem is in my hands, Thank you very much for your advice. I am waiting for comments where this time the error is And I also wanted to ask. If I see that the dough is liquid, add flour to the first batch or the second? The same applies to the opposite - when the dough is too tight, add water at what minute?

Ara, Arina! Of course, I am not a great specialist in baking, but I had such a bread maker for about a month, and I baked in it quite successfully.

The light crust can be defeated by adding baking time and / or covering the oven with a terry towel folded several times during the process. By the way, the second method is also used in more expensive and advanced models.

It seems to me that literally a tablespoon of flour was not enough for the bun, but the yeast was too much.

An error in the flour-liquid balance, in this case there is not enough flour. Look at the second photo, the dough is liquid and clings to the walls of the bucket - this should not be

When and how much to add flour or water - read very carefully here UNDERSTANDING BREAD IN HOMEMADE BREAD here you will find answers to all the questions you ask in the topic here and here #

Good day everyone. We took our baby out of repair. She had faulty temperature sensors. Now we will exploit it mercilessly. There were a lot of recipes for "I want", just manage to put them. Good luck to everyone and tasty and healthy bread.

Hello dear masters - bakers! So I got this baby, I just can't get enough of it!))) After reading about the "pale" crust, I put it on the stove as fried as possible ... But still on top ... a pale toad, although the bread is quite edible, he would a little more time to add, but I could not do it! Please share the secret of the craft))) She needs to be allowed to cool down and only after that she can turn on again or I don’t know something. How can you add another 20 minutes? Save - help, thanks in advance for your help!
Tatyana!
Hello! I bought such a bread machine, today I decided to try it out.I read the instructions, read the forum, studied the baking procedure, measured out all the ingredients exactly, put the products in the bucket according to the recommended order, put everything as it should be according to the instructions in the installation of the program, turned it on and ... nothing. That is, nothing at all. The car doesn't even make noise. What could this be? Maybe when I was playing around with the arrow buttons, I accidentally turned on the program with a delay? The timer counts down, but there is no action inside the oven. How can I reset the settings? I already turned off the oven from the network, then turned it on - all the same, the settings were not reset: the timer counts down the time and the buttons do not react to anything.

What needs to be done to make the oven work? Help, kind people Please!

I'm such a beginner, but try to press and hold the start / stop button, in theory, the settings should be reset ... I study it myself by the method of scientific poking :-) :-) :-)

Hello. Please tell me how to add baking time in this oven? By default, it has a baking time of 3 hours, and the recipe requires 3.50. I'm a beginner and can't figure it out in any way. If possible, step by step.

I study it myself using the scientific method :-) :-) :-)
Hello. Thank you for not disregarding my cry. Let's at least with you, a newbie, like me, share the "discoveries" in mastering this wonderful oven.
I'll tell you about my yesterday's ordeals and mistakes. As it turned out, I really established, without knowing it, the delay of the start. How did it happen. By default, when the oven is turned on, program number 1 is given - "classic", the default baking time of this program is 3 hours (Why? I do not understand). Since the recipe recommends a baking time of 3.50, I immediately added 50 minutes with arrows. Then I set "750" - bread weight and crust "medium". I turned on the car - and nothing. Exactly 50 minutes later, the car started working, that is, it made a noise. Thus, I found out that the delay start is set when the timer is not flashing. Further more interesting. The program started working, but the movement in the bucket was somehow weak - only half a centimeter settled the contents and that's it. I read the instructions: for the first 5 minutes, follow the dough, a lump should form. I watched for 25 minutes - in the bucket the same picture: flour with yeast on the surface. I read in the instructions: if the lump has not formed, then the ingredients were incorrectly laid. But I laid it down correctly, according to the instructions for the stove and this recipe, and even on the recommendation of Admin (I read her recommendations on this site), wrote out all the steps on a piece of paper and put marks on execution. It’s not clear to me why the machine didn’t knead. The blade (knife for kneading) is in place, it is worth it correctly (you still need to try to put it incorrectly). In general, it did not work out. I decided to reset the settings. According to the instructions, by disconnecting the oven from the network, after 10 minutes the settings will be lost. I turned it off three times - they did not go astray after 10 minutes, and after 25, and after an hour. This is where the thought comes to my mind: if the start delay is set with a non-blinking timer, then everything that needs to be changed in the program or adjusted should be set with a blinking timer. Well, logically. In my opinion, anyway. For the fourth time, before disconnecting, I pressed the "start / stop" button, the timer blinked and I disconnected the oven from the network. It was already late at night. She left everything as it is for the night: a bucket of groceries in the car. In the morning - oh gods! - the settings are out of order. I ventured to start program number 1 again. Again, it doesn't mix! I put the contents from the bucket into a bowl and, at idle, looked to see if the blade itself was working. Works! Works without content. Why didn't you knead the dough then? Question. In order not to translate products in vain, I decided to try the "Yeast Dough" program on the same ones. While working. Kneads. Now I am at this stage. Let's see what happens.
I still don't understand how to add baking time. Here, on the forum, people write, they say, added baking time. How to add?

P.S. Kneaded well, the rise is good. I put the dough in the oven. 15 minutes at a temperature of 220 degrees and then 30 minutes at 180. After 45 minutes I turned off the stove, kept it in the cooling oven for another 15 minutes for a crispy crust, took it out - it looked handsome. Not a donkey. I haven't tried it for cut and taste yet - it's getting cold.
P.S.S. Complete cooling did not wait. Mmm! The hard-won loaf is very tasty!

The main question is: why doesn't the machine knead the dough at the first stage? Someone please explain.

Voyz
Tanya, from the very beginning of the kneading, the bread maker makes only short "jerky" movements, and after a while (I did not notice)) starts to knead for real) Maybe you didn't have the patience to wait?))) I add time like this: after the program has ended, I press the start / stop button and hold it, it is reset by default, the display shows 1 program, but you select the "baking" program and use the arrows to set the time you need
Tatyana!
Quote: Voyz
Maybe you didn't have the patience to wait?)))
No! I've waited a long time. I did not leave her for 25 minutes, watching through the window. No result. For an hour she was offended by her, did not come up even once! After 1.25 minutes from the start of the program, the bucket contained flour and yeast on top, that is, the oven did not add flour to the water at all. At the end of the second hour, I turned it off completely, I was afraid that dry flour and yeast would be baked in the "baking" mode. And the instructions said that within the first five minutes a bun is formed. So I was surprised at this state of affairs.

Quote: Voyz

Thank you so much for the information and explanation. I didn’t guess to hold down the button to reset the programs. And from the instructions I realized that only by disconnecting from the network this can be achieved. Thank you! Thank you very much.
Voyz
Tanechka, at first I also danced with tambourines))) I disconnected from the network, and poked wherever possible, and then something flashed in the instructions somewhere, or here on the forum that holding the button leads to a reset ))) This made life much easier! Good luck "koloboks" !!!

Hello! Tell me, who has successful experience in operating this bread machine? I have tried several original recipes, the bread does not bake well. As far as I understood, a weak crust is generally the norm for this model, but gluten inside is not the norm. I'll make a reservation about the quality of the products: everything is dry and fresh. With similar products in my old bread maker, everything is baked according to tried and tested recipes. What could be the reason for undercooking? I would be grateful for any thoughts.
Voyz
I'm new to baking, I've been using this model for a couple of weeks ... I put on the "dark crust", and after the end of baking I add another 20-25 minutes. You can also cover with a terry towel. You will not achieve a fried top crust, but the bread is baked normally :-)

Honestly, on the way of non-technological actions, I went even further: in addition to covering and a dark crust, I knead for 500 grams, and in the settings I put 750 ... There is no result. Well, I'm still embarrassed by the very need to do something extra, so you can't put bread on the night of the morning, and the towel raises questions about the fire hazard (I covered it with foil) ... More and more it seems that you have to think about replacement of the oven.
