Bread dumplings (Semmelknoedel) option II

Ingredients

White bread (buns) 6 pieces (3 pieces)
Butter 50gr
Bulb onions 1 small. onion
Milk 50-60gr
Egg 1 PC
Flour or semolina 20gr
Salt
Parsley

Cooking method

  • Cut the bread into small cubes (it is better to take stale bread or dry it in the oven), fry in butter.
  • Finely chop the onion and lightly fry in oil, cool and add chopped parsley.
  • Shake the egg with milk, salt and combine with bread and onions.
  • Add flour, knead the dough and let stand for a while. Form dumplings from the dough, cook in boiling water over very low heat for about 15 minutes (until tender).
