Meat broth 200ml
Almond 80 g
Bay leaf, salt, pepper taste

Cooking method

  • Römertopf is a unique earthenware Roman pot, the production of which Germany is deservedly proud of, and is well known to many of us. This modest, but very beautiful and elegant tableware has truly magical properties. The food cooked in it is very tasty, healthy and nutritious, since all the nutrients, vitamins and natural aroma are preserved in the products. Meals are prepared without adding fat, with a little water or in their own juice.

  • Before cooking, fill our pot with water for a few minutes. Due to the porosity of the clay, the pot easily absorbs water, retains it and, under the influence of heat, gives it back as steam. The dishes are baked and do not burn. Since the food is cooked without additional water, the taste of the food is very rich, their aroma does not evaporate, and the absence of fat makes any dish easy to digest.
  • Cut the rabbit into portions, season with salt and pepper and fry very quickly in a pan to obtain a golden crust.

  • Peel potatoes; removing the core from the pepper, cut it into long strips; peel the almonds from the films (this is very easy to do by pouring boiling water over it for a few minutes); cut the celery stalks into 2 cm pieces; Crush the cloves of garlic. Put all of the above together with the rabbit in a Roman saucepan, add bay leaf, salt, pepper, pour in the broth and, covering with a lid, simmer in the oven at 200-220about approximately 1 hour.
