Apricot compote

Ingredients

apricot - 700-750g
water - 1 l
sugar - 400g

Cooking method

  • Wash the jar thoroughly and pour over boiling water from the inside.
  • Select ripe, undamaged apricots, wash and use a wooden skewer to pierce in several places. Place the apricots tightly in the jar.
  • Prepare syrup. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar, put on high heat and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the boiling syrup over the apricots. Cover the jar with a lid.
  • When the syrup has cooled, gently drain it back into the saucepan, bring it to a boil again and pour over the apricots again. Repeat the operation again.
  • Close the jar and store in a cool, dark place.
