Pumpkin jam with tangerines and lemon

Ingredients

Pumpkin 1 kg
Mandarins (medium) 3-4 pcs.
Lemon (medium) 1 PC.
Sugar
(the amount of sugar can be changed to taste)
0.5KG

Cooking method

  • Cut the pumpkin (peeled and seeds) into cubes, tangerines (pre-washed and scalded with boiling water) together with the peel into eighths, lemon (processed in the same way as tangerines) into small pieces. Put the fruits in a bowl, cover with sugar and leave until the juice comes out. Then transfer all the components to the HP bucket, the "Jam" mode.

Note

This is the kind of jam I made today ...

The jam is very tasty, with a characteristic citrus flavor ...

Krosh, oh how I liked your jam recipe. : wow: Now I'll buy tangerines. The pumpkin disappears on the balcony
I want to ask you one question, can I? For my LG205, all jams are given at 500g. fruit. 1kg pumpkin is not hard for HP? I would like to do more, I really like sweets!

Oh, how nice it is to hear your words, just a balm on the soul ... Thank you. And the taste is simply magical, if, of course, you like pumpkin and tangerines.
As for the question, I can only say one thing - my bread maker coped with "hurray!", I used to cook in it and cook more. And about your HP ... I don't even know, here it would be better for you to consult with girls, owners of similar models.

I'm afraid to take risks, so for a start I will make jam for half a portion (500g.) At home, I announced a menu for dinner-pancakes with pumpkin jam with tangerine and lemon. My HP is cooling down. I just took out a wheat bread. The next step will be jam, which I will write about later.

I, apparently, did something wrong. ??? As a result, it turned out like a compote with slices of tangerine and lemon. It turned out delicious, but how to make jam? My HP jam does 1h 20min. Maybe this time is not enough for cooking tangerine and lemon, the crust turned out to be undercooked. I'm just learning, so there may be a mistake somewhere.

What a pity that your jam didn't work out ... But the situation can be easily corrected using a blender. You will get a very homogeneous jam even from a "compote" with pieces of fruit. I usually, at the end of the jam, turn on the "Jam" program again, so that all the fruits are evenly mixed, the consistency after mixing turns out to be puree, and after the jam has stood for some time in the refrigerator, it "grabs" and becomes even thicker. But I don't even know what to say about undercooked crusts ... I have never met such a situation. The only thing that can be advised in this situation is to pre-boil the citrus fruits, or simply pour boiling water over and let it cool down completely.
Juice
Krosh, tell me, please, do you have it written in the instructions for HP that you need to add sugar? I ask because my instruction says "jelly sugar", but since it is not on sale, I don't know whether to try it with simple sugar or not.

Juice
My instructions are just sugar. Only I do not cook jams from the instructions, in those recipes where jelly sugar is indicated I replace it with ordinary white sugar + "Zhelfix", if there is no "Zhelfix", then I just cook the jam a little longer, to thicken it, everything works out great! So feel free to try, you will definitely succeed!
