leaves defend
Barquentine, Nataliya, did not understand what it means "the leaves defend"?
Quote: Barkentina
Honeysuckle blackberry strawberry pear currant raspberry ivanchai.
You don't need to clean up anything. In Village, the more different leaves, the tastier.
Barquentine
I dried them and then I froze them

what does it mean "the leaves defend"?
Luda, I realized that Natasha's leaves are thawing ...

Good day!

A new batch of country tea is on the way: pear (wild) - raspberries (wild) - turn (wild) - wild strawberries. I also want to add raspberries to the scrolling, it should make a bomb! My sister rented me an electric meat grinder for the summer until the leaves fall off.))) This year there was a wild cherry tree, with extremely tasty black berries with bitterness, its leaves are waiting in the freezer for mono tea. I noticed the onset of tea syndrome behind myself (and my friends, who are also in the subject).)) Once we went on a bike ride in the evening after work in order to admire the sunset and drink tea from a thermos, but lost control of ourselves, and at the sight of useful and the right trees shouted "Leaves!" and they ran in a race to rip them off (within reasonable limits). We almost missed the sunset.

The teas that I dried a week ago are getting better and better, the technology seems to be followed.) Now the main thing is to put them in the cabinet away for dry fermentation, so that it eventually happens!))
Another question, where to get so much time to cope with tea preparations? One day off a week is absolutely not enough for me, even if I do it according to the accelerated method of Zechariah.
Barquentine
Girls I have a question of how best to act. Grind all the raw materials and, after frying, dry them with sweat and process all the ground without allowing long fermentation. Or grind only that amount that can be placed in the oven and the rest in the refrigerator is not ground.
Sylyul
Good day! Can you please tell me if you can make tea from maiden grapes?
Barquentine
SILUL, I read here that it is impossible

I only twist the amount that I can dry in two passes, the difference in fermentation time is 1-1.5 hours. And sometimes I collect a lot of leaves and put the extra leaves in the freezer.
Barquentine

The tea is delicious. I like to drink them cold.

Sonya Mitina, Yulia, Congratulations! I am very glad that the tea was a success!
Barquentine, Nataliya, Nadya told you rightly - do not make a lot of tea at once. This, in addition to fatigue, can have a bad effect on the result. I also never do more than 2 batches of drying. the difference in fermentation times is insignificant - 1.5 - 2 hours.
SILUL, in the topic of tea from garden plants, it is written how to choose plants for tea. Let me remind you, 2 principles:
1.the presence of tannins:
2. Plants, the fruits of which we are happy to eat.
Wild grapes don't fit into this category.

lappl1, thank you very much for such a fascinating journey into the world of "tea-making" it is so contagious that medicine has been powerless since last year. Now is the hot time for preparing Ivan-tea and this year (at least with us) it is raging with a crazy color clover, have not seen anything like this for a long time, large, red, sweet (in childhood they sucked sweet juice out of it) and so, I wanted to know if it is possible to ferment clover, and maybe someone did something, I wonder what happens? Thank you.
lily_a
We tasted rustic tea dated July 12.
Basis: bird cherry, viburnum, apple tree
less currants, rowan,
even less cherries, strawberries, raspberries,
just a little rose hips, irga, pear

Liked by all three who tried it.

I will not say about fermentation. I dry myself for addition - I like the taste.

Can you already collect rowan girls? the fruits are hanging. But she hadn't blushed yet.

I still collected mountain ash with flowers and an apple tree with a cherry and other leaves without waiting for the fruit. The teas are delicious! I can't afford to wait for the fruit, the oven is small ... and other circumstances. Therefore, I have been making teas since May ....

The girls urgently need an answer. I never froze the leaves, how to do it right. Wither first, then into the bag and into the freezer? Or not in a bag, but twist tightly into a fabric? Or straight into the freezer? And then how? Allow to thaw completely or partially. before. how to twist ?.
francevna
Omela, the leaves wilted. Then in a bag, better tight for freezing, squeeze out the air and into the freezer.
Omela
Alla, Thank you! but how to defend?
francevna
This morning I took out 5 packages from the freezer and carried them into the entrance of the house, and there we have more than 40 degrees. I only turn the bags over so that they thaw evenly. I will leave it there until morning, and in the morning I will twist and ferment.
Omela
Ok, that is, I correctly understood that it should completely melt.
francevna
Omela, I leave the bags to defrost for a long time, until a pleasant fruity aroma appears. Only with this aroma can I twist them, I have an allergic reaction to the aroma of grass-hay.

Someone twists the slightly frozen leaves, but this is not my option. I've been making tea this way for the third year.
Omela
Alla, and should the package be closed or open?
francevna
Omela, the package is closed.
Omela
I understood everything, thanks!)
Elena Kadiewa
Mistletoe, you can put it in the freezer right in the fabric.
Omela
Elena, thanks, and then how to defrost? unwind?
francevna
If I also sent the leaves to the freezer in the tissue, then the chest freezer must be kept separately for the leaves.
Omela
Girls, I don't have time to wither, I wrapped it in cloth. How is it to me. hold the night in the room, then put it in the freezer, or right away?
Elena Kadiewa
Yes. And stir up. Lina, in my opinion) does so. This is me about defrosting.
wrap in a twist and hi lies.

Yeah .. I would have to hold out until Wednesday evening .. so I think I can do without a freezer? Can we put the twist in the bag? or not risk it, it's hot now. can be overdried. (

If the twist is in the bag, then it will probably lie.
I would wither in a very thick layer, with constant tedding.Or she just put the dried food in a bag in the refrigerator. If you don't want to freeze. Dried in a cold cure for 2-3 days is without problems.

lily, great, thanks, put the bundle in the bag, now I'll put it in the refrigerator. Tomorrow night I'll play.

The girls did not throw away the branches of the viburnum. And wanted to ask them to make tea useful?
Or bullshit?
Natalo4-ka
Useful! .. for diseases ... do you have any?
I mean, viburnum branches are medicinal raw materials! And accordingly, it must be taken dosed and on the recommendation of a doctor.
And certainly not "bullshit". Because such tea, drunk without control, can lead your body to unexpected reactions. it's over youa?
IMHO

viburnum twigs
plant w. not poisonous, the berries are useful, which means the twigs too, in reasonable quantities, as for any plant - it is better not to report than to shift

All parts of the viburnum plant are healing: flowers, berries, seeds, leaves, bark, branches.

Branches for infusion are harvested in the spring, before the viburnum leaves bloom. They are crushed, boiled with boiling water and insisted, covered with a blanket. And then they filter and store in a dark cool place. (Such a decoction is given to young children with diathesis 1 tsp. 2-3 times a day.)

Benefit
1. A decoction of the branches and fruits of viburnum is used to treat malignant tumors, stomach ulcers, ascites; externally - for the treatment of conjunctivitis.

2. A decoction of viburnum branches is used for respiratory infections, sore throat, scrofula and hemorrhoids.

3. Infusion of viburnum branches, applied externally, regulates blood circulation in case of leg ulcers.

4. In case of colds caused by hypothermia or viral infection, a good antipyretic agent is tea made from dried viburnum berries with twigs (they are brewed with boiling water and insisted for two to three hours in a thermos). This tea can be drunk instead of water to quench thirst, it also has a mild diuretic effect.

5. Young twigs of viburnum are used to treat childhood diathesis.
Harm
Possible individual intolerance to infusions and decoctions of viburnum branches.

A viburnum branch thrown into a vessel with water keeps the water fit for drinking for a long time.

Kokoschka, Lilya, I did mono-viburnum. Not tasty, somehow incomprehensible, but very rich tea turned out. You can add a little viburnum to the mix.
Kokoschka
Thank you girls!
Already dried in the Dachnik, I'll try to brew
Natalo4-ka, then that with herbs it is necessary to be careful, I know firsthand, of course the drugs are where they all came from ..... with herbs, with traditional medicine!
Natalo4-ka
So I gave the heat ...
I almost broke the only meat grinder ...
I defrosted my "leafy" shelf in the freezer, revised everything, shook it up, and decided to pinch a crumb from each bag into "Village". No sooner said than done! There were about 12 items in Derevensky. She began to twist, but did not calculate, let the cherry, followed by currants and red. mountain ash ... and BAM !!! on these leaves my meat grinder and jammed. They turned out to be difficult to process in this sequence. I had to put everything in the refrigerator and wait for the male power.
Male power came, puffed up, for order, and with difficulty unrolled the meat grinder))))
In general, the tea has already dried, but what happened there? ... we wake up to look in a month

Almost a year has passed since that moment)))))) So what about the seagull there? Temka needs to be revived))

Good day! So I thought to make a rustic one! But there is one problem with some raw materials in our region you will not find with fire during the day! For example, mountain ash, but not the southern tree, it is very far to go for Ivan tea, more than 200 km, this year I will definitely not get out, and it’s too late for him. How can they be replaced? Due to my inexperience, I myself cannot figure it out.I have determined for myself the following composition so far: viburnum, raspberry, cherry, linden, apple tree, bird cherry, mulberry; the base is apple, bird cherry ~ 5%, the rest is about 10% each. I understand that this is not rustic, but I think it will be delicious.
Yuri K
Katerinka"The composition of the tea can be changed at your discretion, choosing your favorite plants for it. The proportions of the constituent parts can also be very different. In order to get a delicious and aromatic tea, it is important to choose the right leaves for its preparation."

It's rustic. The composition may vary. You can add some more components. Pear, irgu, wild rose, meadow geranium, strawberry - for example. You don't have to add a linden - there are no particularly enthusiastic reviews on it. I often have 10-12 plants in my composition.
Katerinka
Duck means I have already done two versions of the village. Only they are named differently

Yuri, excellent tea turned out, one of the best. The aroma is like from a multicomponent cake (I don't eat cakes, I just smell it)) there is nothing more to compare with, very pleasant, complex aroma and excellent taste, one cup cannot be dispensed with (so for the photo I poured a cup and could not resist taking a sip))) then in the photo I only saw that the cup was not full)
And the color! Tea leaves 2 tsp 1.5 liters. water
Country tea (fermented) - seven in one
Here I also had Ivan-tea (leaf) in my composition, and from Ivan-tea my favorite 4 in 1, as I call it, leaf, boxes, flowers and buds with a top, all in equal proportions. So I want to make a village on the basis of "Ivan 4 in 1" this year. I hope to make it before Vanya faded.
Yuri K
Natalo4-ka, Yes, I myself have already made all kinds of teas!
Happy Fox
Oh girls, how interesting you have here. And I have been looking for material for so long in order to somehow understand how to make tea myself. The truth has not yet figured out on the forum)))
