This grater was given to me by my husband on March 8 16 years ago.
After a week of use, my mother-in-law cut her little finger very badly. So much so that I couldn't even hold a spoon for a month
After that, I have been using only the Korean carrot attachment for 16 years.
I could not overcome the fear of the grater. The picture before my eyes is too lively. I remember when I saw blood gushing, I almost fainted.

I propose to open a new topic. Well, something like "The Horrors of Kitchen Appliances". Well, read to everyone at night.
I myself did not suffer from the grater. Relatives too (my mother tried, but I always scream heart-rendingly that I must take the holder). But I read a lot of horrors. And I'm afraid of her too. I bought it and lay there for 2 months without work. And now it’s somehow creepy ...
natali2305
Zest, I sympathize! I recently also cut myself with a grater, only I have a different one, here's a reference. 🔗
This is not an advertisement, since everything is fine and the stainless steel and attachments are good, but rubbing is dangerous. Very sharp knives, but I didn't get the hang of the holder. My husband loves Korean carrots very much, so I was looking for a suitable attachment. I searched for a long time, found and got ragged. So my husband is rubbing carrots now ... I'm afraid ... There is a very good, narrow attachment for carrots, and others are also good. Combines are safer ... But they have no attachments of high quality for Korean carrots ... so that the strips are long ... Or maybe they already have, but I don't know ...

I bought Trend, I was happy as an elephant, because I was sure that it was her who was advised here .. now I re-read the whole Temka again, but it turns out I had to take Vip ... I got upset .. and as I read that, the main thing was confidently choosing The trend ... now you have to get used to ... and the quality of knives for all these graters is very different from each other?
Freken Bock
clv , you have absolutely no reason not to be happy about your purchase! The quality of the knives is the same for all graters. The difference is in some design features.
marinal
I once also chose between Trend and Vip ... and deliberately bought Trend because the seller who consulted me said that there is absolutely no reason to overpay in VIP and all Berner's employees buy the Trend for themselves, although they have a very decent discount on their products as an employee and they can afford any of the graters.
And the fact that the quality of the blades is the same for everyone is understandable at least even from the fact that people who took graters years ago and still cut some with them.
The only thing I did wrong was that I immediately had to take the stand and the FRI nozzle, and I won't go to the store for a year now, and even the one I knew about somewhere else, now I regret
Happy shopping

I went to my grater Trend, which is 15 years old, last year I bought a large container and a cap for a grater. (Insert for closing the blades). The main thing is that it is always at hand.
RybkA
I also have a TREND, for about 3 years, the only thing that doesn’t suit me is a grater stand, it’s better to have a pot, in which you could hide everything and close the knives.
I immediately bought a lot of things in addition to a 10 mm insert, a 1.6 mm insert, a "Pizza grater", a double-sided grater and a pot. I use everything.

Pizza grater, what kind of animal is this?

Fully plastic with large holes. I copied the name from the instructions for the grater

Girls, I'm sitting reading this topic first.
After reading pages 5, the link went to the forum of the Berner website in Russia, to see. There are reviews, I read, and ... I understand that I have "deja vu".
The answers of our girls two years ago are ripped off one to one, and even the smileys are the same, only the nicknames are different, but also ripped off ...
I specially opened both pages for comparison:

our https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=2844.75

and the Burner Forum: 🔗

and other answers are familiar to me, but I did not check.
And even the avatars are gone!

I can't ... continue to read the threads on the Burner forum.
There all the answers are ripped off from our forum. Mom dear, this is advertising! I just read it on our forum.
At first I had doubts about my adequacy ...

I defrosted the pork a little and rubbed it on the 7 mm insert .. the original pieces turned out, on the same grater I rubbed the pepper, and on the 3.5 - onions, carrots, salted, threw in spices, a couple of tomatoes, sajas is stewed in a cartoon ... interesting opinion experts - how harmful is it to rub meat on the Burner for her blades? otherwise I thought to buy a 10 mm grater and rub the frozen liver, and laziness-mother already quietly begins to rejoice

That is what it means to read the forum when it’s awake, instead of writing it read “I rubbed my finger on the same grater” I reread it and laughed for half an hour.

Hello everyone. I'm new to your forum
I read half the topic, I just have no time to read the whole topic (a small child does not give it) and time is running out.
I want my husband to order this grater, but I still can't decide on the model. the husband says to choose the best. I went to Berner's German website. there I liked a stainless steel grater (such as vip4), but the truth is more expensive. I thought to take it cheaper, that is, vip4, but there is no nozzle for it by 1.6 mm. tell me, is this nozzle really so necessary, if it makes sense to take it?
Here is my list of what I want to buy (I ask experienced advice on what is really needed and what you can not take), or maybe you will also advise me to buy something else, so that in one fell swoop.
- grater Profi (or as on the official website V6) or grater Vip4
- nozzles for grater 1.6 mm, 4.5 mm and 10 mm
- classic bath (I read that there are elastic bands on the legs so that they do not slip)
- vegetable peeler
- ROKO grater (for Korean carrots)
- grater PIZA-GRATER CLASSIC
- waffle

here is a grater b6
Grater Burner (1)

I want such a waffle

I have Berner for more than 10 years, I think that you can not bother with stainless steel, but if your husband does not mind you have to take everything according to the full program
julifera
I wanted a stainless steel one for a while, then I took it in my hands - it is decently heavier than a plastic one, it is more convenient for me with a lighter version, it is more convenient to wash.
But these are all personal experiences
julifera
By the way, the inserts in a metal grater are still plastic and the holder is plastic ...

The point is in such a powerful foundation, usually there are no problems with it?

Sometimes you accelerate, the vegetable has already worn out, but you won't notice and continue whack-whack - and so on my holder the plastic sometimes starts to burn "along the rails" from empty friction with the base.

My friend had a crack in the insert, the plastic chipped between the teeth - the thickness adjusters, went to change.

Pah-pah VIP-4 came across to me a normal one, quietly without any problems bought the attachments I liked.
Lera
girls, thanks for the answers!

I now have such a question. for official the site of the 1.6 mm nozzle for VIP4 is not present. and I don’t know if she’s needed at all?
Lera
and another question: for those who have a 1.6 mm nozzle, what do you use it for?
Lera
again I (I still can't calm down). I already wrote that at the office. There are no nozzles for VIP4, except for 10mm. for trend there are 1.6 and 4.5 mm. does anyone know if they are suitable for vip4?

No, they won't.
Typically 1.6 is used for Korean salads. I also have Vip 4 and I just bought another separate grater for Korean carrots - it rubs even better than Vip himself cuts. Not a bit regretted about this option.

it's clear, then I don't need this attachment. I also want to order a grater for Korean carrots separately

and what about the bowl. I want with rubber feet, so as not to slip. and again a bummer, it is for the Trend. And, you will not believe, again the question - is such a bowl suitable for VIP4?
natalka
Suitable, I somewhere in this Temko even posted a photo of Vip4 with this tray. I first took it because the seller really could not explain the difference to me. I used it at first, but then I bought an oval one for three reasons. Firstly: these rubber feet were all the time nipping at me and getting lost in the open spaces of the kitchen (the first time they got lost in the car on the way home from the store), they couldn't even be glued with superglue; secondly: nevertheless, for VIP it is too small and not very stable; thirdly: it fits into it less than an oval one, you have to empty the tray several times.

I have both trays, VIP-4 stands on both. I would not say that the VIP tray is sliding. I don't remember catching and swearing))) seem to behave the same way. VIP is much larger, the classic is less spacious. both trays are in use, both are needed. when you rub into a classic, pieces often fly out. I took out both of them now, and moved around the table. the classic really does not slip, the VIP slides ... well, how it glides, does not run away from under the hands, but you can move freely.

and the metal case ... it seems to me that it makes sense only if the grater in your sight will live in a stainless steel kitchen, that is, for design. or if it is the stainless steel that pleases the eye. if you do not cling to the "cubes" - the trend is very good. I personally took the VIP because of the average thickness of the slices, which I really missed in the trend.

I also really like the baby grater (plastic, double-sided). pizza is a great grater. Korean - I use less often than others, but I need it. waffle - decoration, canning and for children. but a peeler is just a peeler. nothing new and unusual. except perhaps the eyelet and corner on the horizontal - for decorations.

natalka
looked, rubber legs-rings like that? all 4 are in place, never ran anywhere.
dopleta
Maybe stainless Burner can be washed in PMM? I have 2 sets - Classic and VIP-4, they cannot be washed, like any other plastic set.
lina
so it seems like it’s impossible because of the knives. and the knives are the same.
dopleta
No, it is not possible because of the combination of plastic and metal. For them, due to the increase in temperature, the expansion of the material occurs in different ways, and the fastening is weakened.

Yes, in rings.
So I am so LUCKY that they are constantly lost with me.
True, after buying a large tray, I no longer use the small one and do not see the point in it. Big seems to me more convenient.
Lera
thanks girls for the feedback. Simply, if we had a store or a department in the city where a burner is sold, it would be easier, I could go to the store and examine and check everything, and I would not torment you with questions. and so ... the husband is abroad and there is an opportunity to order directly from the office. site. and therefore I have to tell him specifically what to buy.
with a tray, then I have already decided. I take an oval one.
but now I still cannot decide on the grater itself. I have a dilemma - either vip4 or Pro (i.e. stainless steel). inclined to stainless steel because you can immediately buy nozzles for it (3 pieces), and for vip4 only 1 additional nozzle per 10 mm.the husband says so as not to take a steam bath and choose the pros and everything for her. For some reason, I did not immediately consider the trend, and I read that the cubes cannot be obtained on it. in short ..... I haven’t decided for a month
@ irina @
Lera, I also chose between vip and trend for a long time. In the end, they bought Profi (my husband influenced the choice, he really liked her in metal). I don’t regret it. Looks and works at all 100. I also bought an additional storage box and an insert of 10 ml (although it was only white) Looks fine, I did not find a black one. And the box is on the table. If you take Profi, then Trend inserts are suitable.

Pros are, of course, heavier than plastic ones, but comfortable. The hand does not get tired, especially since there is a pot. It's great with him. I put it on a container and rub the vegetable, or rather, you don't even rub it, but you drive it back and forth on the grater. And the inserts are included only for 7 mm and 3.5 mm, and also a slicer (thin and thick shredder). Yes, and also a plug for the grater itself, a cat. has a middle slicer on the back. I advise you to immediately buy boxing. Before boxing, a grater was stored in a box and took up a lot of space, since the grater is larger in size than plastic ones. Now my assistant flaunts on the table and is always at hand, and the appearance does not spoil at all. Buy a round tray, the one that is larger. Rectangular does not fit, tried on in the store. And not every box will fit. For the pros there is one made of transparent plastic, it is also suitable for the trend. Separately, there are no additional inserts for the Profi, the trend is suitable (in fact, the Pro is the Trend, but with the VIP element - the cap for the blades).
There will be questions, ask. I will answer with pleasure.

how are there no additional inserts?
there is 🔗 scroll the page below and there is everything that fits this model
just on this officer. The stainless steel grater site is called V6 (on the Russian Pro site), and on the official. The site does not have a name for the trend at all, but V3 (and the trend has already been written in Russian). husband from this site and will order. I will definitely take an oval tray, well, in the sense of not a classic.
@ irina @
I looked. I did not find a separate insert for V6. Available for V3 and V4. It's the same with us. I ordered it in the online store.
@ irina @
I found everything. Everything is there for sure. I wandered in another store. Boerner Shop-Onlineshop. 🔗 There, on the contrary, there is no V6, but everything is there for the rest of the models. And there is definitely no transparent box, there is only a small one for storing inserts (on a black leg).

Thank you for the site! I immediately began to look for everything on it. only now I do not find inserts for VIP4 except for 10 mm. compared prices, the prices for the graters themselves are the same, but for graters (waffle, etc.) a little more expensive

For, I have a V6. We don't really have anything in our stores. Yes, now in the online store there is neither 4.5, nor an additional grater "Pizza-grater". I will wait.

Hello!
I decided to buy a grater Berner.
I don't need dicing. Besides this feature, what is the difference between VIP-4 and TREND?
You will have to buy in the online store (there is no representative office in our city) and the prices differ significantly.
It is very important to get a detailed answer.
And also a grater for Korean carrots is this ROKO? Should I take it? I make the carrots myself at home, but I rub the carrots on a regular grater, I would like to have a long straw.
Tell me please!!!
Pro
Good day! Take TREND. in VIP - there is one feature that is needed for cubes, but with the rest of the cutting it interferes (the height of the sides on the frame - if without cubes, then the remainder of the product remains large). And TREND is an excellent proven model that has no cubes and no residue.
Straws without ROKO can be cut on the same TREND, if you buy an insert with 1.6 mm knives.
The price will be lower, the result is almost the same.
Why are you complaining about Omsk? There is also a point in the shopping center Omsk on Internatsionalnaya in the Blue Light on Marx.
omi4ka
Reporting!
I went to the shopping center Omsk. Found a branded department. There is a grater TREND 2500 rubles !!! My eyes were on my forehead!
I returned home, went to the site, ordered a Trend grater, a basket and an additional 1.6 mm. For everything together came 2094 rubles with delivery. I'll pay tomorrow and wait for delivery.
And about the cubes ... no one pulled you by the tongue

So it's because of the "cubes" that I gobble up raw carrots as soon as I need to chop a mountain of it ?! There it is, Mikhalych, so what ... (c) VIP cubes do not attract me at all. And the information about the sides is very new for me. Is it a trend to buy now?

omi4ka, with the purchase of you!
Zest
well, I'm not an engineer, of course, I'm not an engineer ... and design ingenuity, probably, is also missing ... I climbed into the closet for my VIP, turned it over in my hands, examined it from all sides. But I still did not understand how the sides on the sides contribute to large residues of vegetables when rubbed along the grater? There is no rim at the end ...
Freken Bock
Zest, and I climbed there! The sides do not allow the holder to sink lower, closer to the blade. There remains a gap of about 0.5 cm. I understand that this gap is smaller in the Trend?
Zest
Freken Bock

I saw the trend on Berner's website. Yes, there, it seems, the surface is absolutely flat, without any sides at all.

but for the sake of a few millimeters of an unwashed product, I won't buy a Trend either. I'd better vitaminize the body
alyona
Tell me, people.
I want to order a waffle grater.
Who has it, use it, or is it in the table?
Is it difficult to cut and is a holder required?
I don't have a berner vegetable cutter yet.
