People will look and make a choice.

Alexey, that's it. People will look and make a choice. When we were choosing a packer, we shoveled so many things, and called several shops. Therefore, I also want people to read and find out what's what and how. We just have a kitchen of 4.2 meters, in general I only have a multicooker, a blender and a packer, so we very responsibly approached the choice of each appliance, we just have nowhere to store a lot of everything, so I wanted to buy good quality equipment once and for a long time ... And we are happy with our choice, but I do not impose on anyone!

Pchela majaAre these reusable bags also made in Korea?
Are they suitable for su kind?
Honestly, I don’t know, it’s better to clarify this information in the store, they have an online consultant on their website.
I took them for storage in the refrigerator and to take with me on the road.
For the sous-vide I have Ellrona bags, I would still double-seam for reliability.

qliuka, People will look and make a choice. You bought it for yourself, and people choose more. Maybe my advice will help you make the right choice. If they explained everything to me before buying, I would not buy Redmond 100%.
Try to put it on Avito, maybe there will be those who want to buy.
Well, sometimes bad purchases happen.
Although, a double stitch can be made on redmond. I did it easily on my simple caso.
domovoyx
On Avito, people want to buy for a thousand, and what I monitored disappeared from the sale
Pchela maja
Here in the Flea market you can hang, maybe someone from your edge will like it.

The hose fits perfectly with the Caso 10 when you remove the tip
Marish, it turns out that your Kaso just has a pipka sticking out and you put a hose on it without a tip? I have ProfiCook 1015, also with a pipette, and I think maybe I can order a hose, containers, a cutter, caps ...

I think, maybe, order a hose, containers, a cutter, caps ... And then, for two weeks now, I haven't bought anything ...
Of course! the hose is very convenient IMHO, you can buy other containers for it, for example, with valves such as those from Redmond.
I did not take the caps for myself, although I have two built-in refrigerators, there is almost no room for plates, so I either store food in pots or already in containers.

Pickled cucumbers and tomatoes. Tomatoes - not cherry, pink, slightly elongated with a spout at the end, weight 70g, ground. I put 1 tbsp on the package. l coarse salt, 2 tooth. garlic and 1 tbsp. l. chopped fresh dill
She put the tomatoes on top of each other in a large bag and in the freshness zone, and the cucumbers on the top shelf in the refrigerator. In a package 1450gr.
GuGu
Pchela maja, Marina, thanks for the visual information! I will also order myself a hose and a cutter from Gucha .. well, reusable bags up to a heap.

Guys, I decided to buy a vacuum cleaner, I choose a model.
I look shopping on YouTube.
I found a couple of interesting videos, probably for many, so I will share them here (they are in English):

  • 1. The use of straws for drinking beverages allows packaging with a non-corrugated packer designed for corrugated packaging using ordinary smooth bags:

  • 2. Using a container without a bottom to protect the sealing part of the bag from dirt and other tips

As for the models for purchase, I have looked after the following candidates (opinions? Objections?):

  • one.An unknown (to me?) FROSTY ITALIA company model of a professional class packer (there are still semi-professional and home ones, of different lengths), there is very little information about it, and the video is uninformative, people put reasonable questions in comments:

Who has seen them live or on video hosting or will reasonably guess about the functions of these devices?
I saw that under the indicator there are two buttons: time and pressure. Probably, you can set the pumping pressure and sealing time (4mm seam), and, probably, during the execution of the program, the indicator shows the current pressure, and the sealer - the time.
Is it possible there to connect a tube for vacuuming third-party containers?
Maybe someone will see something more than me?

  • 2. Redmond, only 020 model is on sale (but I would like 021), but 2 years of warranty bribes (Banter = 1 year).
I would be satisfied with a hybrid of Steba 5 and 6 (with a built-in cutter from 5 and pulse mode from 6), but this, unfortunately, does not exist in nature. Or is there?

Advice ? Links?
Thanks to everyone who responded!

Thanks a lot for the idea! Today I tried it - it works. Just a couple of small clarifications:
1. Ordinary bags are much thinner than special "vacuum" ones, they are very easily damaged, one must bear this in mind.
2. In the video it was said, I will pay attention additionally - a second soldering above the tube is absolutely necessary, since it is not welded tightly near the tube itself.
3. It should be borne in mind that due to the softness of ordinary bags, folds are easily formed on them, which can fall into the place of the seam, if you do not notice, then there is also a chance that there will be no tightness. [/ List]

I am a chemist by education, so I will insert a few words)) As far as I know, not every film is suitable for evacuation and the thickness does not play a big role here. The composition of the film is much more important, since polyethylene is permeable to oxygen molecules and if you pump out all the air from it, over time oxygen will still penetrate there through the plastic film and the process of decomposition of the product will begin.
jenyaiva
🔗 here you can read about permeability and at the very bottom of the table for comparison. The LDPE used in the bags is the same LDPE - low density polyethylene, which has the highest oxygen permeability
bc ----
jenyaiva, colleague. The addition is accepted, one more point must be added - ordinary packages are suitable only for short-term storage (which is also quite relevant).
francevna
The plum wilted for the first time. I want to freeze. Someone kept it in a vacuum
jenyaiva
bc ----, pleasantly
Yes, I think this kind of storage in regular bags is great for keeping food out of moisture. In the summer, I usually just solder everything with a packer, without pumping air, so that dampness does not get into the bag. For long-term storage, especially for delicacies, only a special vacuum film, so pack in vacuum for so long and 100% otherwise why all this)
francevna
jenyaiva, Zhenyathank you +
jenyaiva
francevna, I simply evacuate dried apples and store in a dark place. I still think that after evacuation, the plum should be stored in the freezer, it will last 3 times longer than without a freezer, since the plum does not dry out completely and a lot of liquid remains in it.

Zhenya, I store dried apples in glass jars with Wax lids. Carrots and pumpkin are well kept. I will keep the plums in the freezer.

How did you do it? Tell me, and I also have a question about the tomatoes that you salted. How long do you vacuum them?
My cucumbers are too salty :( I haven't tried with tomatoes yet, but I don't want to spoil
jenyaiva
qliuka, if I understand this correctly, when it is possible to regulate the strength of the vacuum. For example, as on my Gocha there is a second button, when pressed, the pumping stops and sealing. That is, for example, I pack bread or something soft and if you pump it out to the end, then the bread will turn into a cake) And if you have such a button, you can stop the pumping process in time and solder the bag. Although, on the other hand, this is no longer a vacuum, because not all air is pumped out and the storage periods are not as long as in a full vacuum.

a)) heh heh)) I also gotcha. I just didn't know that the presence of this button is called the pulse mode) Thank you!
jenyaiva
francevna, also an option, but it's more convenient for me in packages. For drying, I cut the apples into thin slices, so that I can immediately use them for cooking and evenly spread them in a bag in a small layer. After evacuation, it turns out something like a book in size and is very convenient to store in a closet)

Alla, about storing carrots can be more detailed? Do you keep it in a vacuum too? And how long does it lie?
francevna
Anya, dried carrots two years ago, stored in 2 liter glasses. cans, wax lids, pump out with a hand pump. I check it periodically to keep it well.
francevna
qliuka, today I opened tomatoes for testing, I took a photo, but I can't insert it from my phone. Several tomatoes burst. Probably need to pump out less air. The aroma is indescribable, in the taste you can feel a little carbonated aftertaste, like in barrel tomatoes. I think that tomatoes will not withstand the vacuum for a long time, I will keep it until the last.
francevna
And what a dried plum was delicious, I would never have thought until I tried it.
Closed in packages of 500 gr.
From a 10L bucket with a slide of plums, 10 pallets were obtained in Isidri, the end result is 2600g of dried plums.
We urgently need to remove the drain, now they have transferred it to the north of the Rostov region. sleet, it seems to be raining towards us.

Oh, I don't have a dryer: (without it, it means it won't work ... As a result, it turns out something like prunes? Sorry, if I suddenly ask stupid questions, I just didn't have anything to do with plums, only we cook jam from it, this is for now my maximum.

Tomatoes, after all, how many days did they lie in a vacuum? And they burst when they were lying or right away during vacuumization?

Zhenya, are you doing that? If so, what packages are you using? Something I am afraid to use simple p / ethylene bags even for small storage. Will I spoil my packer with them?
GuGu
Sibiryachka38, METRO sells smooth vacuum bags 100 pcs. the price is about 300 rubles. small, in my opinion 20x30 (I can't say for sure, I'm not at home)

I use them too. I bought it for 200 rubles with a penny.
🔗

Very convenient and cost effective. They are well sealed. True, I used them for packaging products that do not require vacuumization. Frozen berries, carrots, mushrooms ... I simply squeezed out the air with my hands as much as possible before sealing. Now I'll try to pump out the air with cocktail tubes - vaapche beauty will be !!!

I tried to seal ordinary plastic bags - I didn't succeed. The package melted and perforated due to the high temperature.
GuGu
A.lenka, they are the most .. I will also try with tubes
francevna
Proficuk seals ordinary packages well, freezes carrots.Today I evacuated the dried plum, and then put this bag in an ordinary one, folded the edge, it turned out 4 layers of film, everything stuck together.
We were visiting today, drove cucumbers and tomatoes for testing. Everything went away instantly, we were satisfied, I was struck by the aroma of vegetables.
Tomatoes and cucumbers were kept in vacuum for 4 days.
francevna
qliuka, I think that for a vacuum, a tomato is best suited - cream or oblong. I have them round, not very dense. When evacuating, it was not visible that they burst. There were 3 such tomatoes per 1 kg.
They were kept in vacuum for 4 days.

Natalia, only for sous-vide they seem to be impossible to use. Nothing is written about this on the packaging.

Thank you all for your congratulations!

As for the pulse mode, STE means, as I understand it, the operation of the pump while the pump down button is pressed.
let go, does not shake, but also does not solder!

in other models, in which there is no imp. buttons, you can stop the injection by sealing, but you cannot continue it

mkligor
that is, imp. mode allows you to select the pressure

Well, congratulate me too. My Caso100 came to me from the pre-order. Such a compact, lightweight husband asked, why do you need it? And I waited for him for so long, wanted so long that in the end I hung up and could not answer anything intelligible, although I read the whole topic while I was waiting. And really, why do I need him? I can't remember, Wax covers fit him? He has a tube, I think how to adapt. Ozone containers are ugly expensive
francevna
Evgeniya, I had the same condition.
I ordered it, but I didn't say anything to my husband, but he had to ransom it, I was sitting with my grandchildren.
They unpacked it, put it on the table and fell into a stupor. I didn’t come up to it for 4 hours, but now I’ve already closed so many preparations for the winter. Everything is smooth, in rows, it looks neat. And the kebab is delicious.
Everyone is happy and my husband praises. I think that it had to be bought before the freezer chest, it would fit more and there would be order.
Jenealis
Alla, I couldn't think of anything smarter how to solder only boiled corn: girl_haha: oh, and water leaked into the drip tray ... and the first time it didn't solder, the gaps remained. And then I remembered the advice that to lower it below the level and everything worked out. It’s a pity he didn’t appear earlier, there were so many strawberries for freezing, I had to purée them, because they freeze very quickly in loose ones. But ahead of the kiwi and feijoa, I think I'll win back on them))) although the kiwi has never frozen it, I wonder if something worthwhile will turn out in slices and in a row ... and most importantly where to use it later.

EvgeniyaOf course it will work! Freeze it first, spreading it out in one layer. And then vacuum the frozen rings. It will be very beautiful to use in jellied pies and biscuits.
francevna
Elena, I don't understand why I need to create extra work for myself. I put the fresh halves of the plums in a bag, vacuumized and frozen. They lie like fresh, bright, beautiful. Then I put it in a simple bag, so they darkened, there is no sight.

Pre-frozen food does not stick to each other, and is not compressed during vacuuming.
Opening the package - you can take as much as you need without completely defrosting.
francevna
Jenealis, Evgenia, and my son brought peaches from the Crimea, there was no vacuum then, I had to put them in simple bags. In simple bags, they are glued together. And for a vacuum, as you put it in a bag, they will lie.
