Snowball Cookies

Ingredients

soft butter 113 g
sugar 2 tbsp. l
vanilla extract 2 tsp
walnuts or pecans 3/4 Art.
wheat flour 150 g
a pinch of salt
icing sugar for decoration

Cooking method

  • Beat butter until light color. Add all other ingredients except powder. Mix and form 25 balls (approx 1 1/2-2 cm diameter). You can put a cherry in the middle of the snow, for example.
  • Put on a greased sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 175-180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  • ATTENTION - cookies should not be rosy !! It will remain light.
  • Cool on a wire rack and roll each snowball in powdered sugar.
  • (I roll the cookies while still hot).

These cookies are baked in the pre-Christmas time.

only somewhere I messed up, or maybe the butter let down - I don't know .. only it turned out so crumbly that I could not even remove it from the baking sheet when hot, I picked one up and it turned out like this:
