Frozen tomato

Ingredients

Tomatoes, can be substandard

Cooking method

  • It often happens that a certain amount of slightly stale tomatoes accumulates in the refrigerator. Here's what I do with them: peel them off, grind them in a blender, put them into small molds and freeze them. Then I put it in a bag and store it in the freezer. In winter, it is very convenient to add such briquettes to soups and hot dishes when cooking.

No, well, it's just amazing !!! And again, how aesthetically pleasing !!! YOUNG MAN, Larissa!

Brilliant. I would never have thought of it. I will definitely do it next year. And sometimes you have to throw out not condition

Have you decided that it was me for the competition? No, well, I’m probably a greyhound sometimes, but not to the same extent.

How simple everything is ingenious !!! Thank you for the great idea!
I always freeze "ladies' fingers" for the winter, then I have to take off the skin, wait for it to freeze up to cut it ... And here I took it out, threw it into the frying pan and

Small molds are beautiful, "toy", cute. And dysfunctional - there is so much space in the freezer. In winter, you put in a frying pan or in a saucepan not one at a time, but several at a time. Therefore, I freeze in regular disposable containers - for use one container at a time.

TATbRHA, You probably have not finished reading! I do not store in trays, but in bags.

TATbRHA
Of course, I finished reading, that's why I wrote. Disposable containers installed tightly one to the other take up much less space in the freezer than a bag with freely lying frosts in small molds (we have a lot of tomatoes growing in the Kuban and then a lot are used in winter, so we freeze a lot too - not for beauty, but for consumption) ...

dopleta, what a charm Brilliant and simple, how ingenious everything! We don't have a lot of tomatoes, but I will still use this idea with your consent.

And this year I froze 10 liters of half a liter of juice - first I put a bag in a container, juice there, froze it, took it out and kept it that way. And in borscht just a portion.

I interrupted the tomatoes with a blender with peel and sweet pepper.
TATbRHA
Yes, this idea is generally wonderful - with bell peppers, you can add greens there. And in borscht, and in gravy. Borscht with tomato juice is a miracle; One of my acquaintances, a chef, buys tomato juice in packs especially for borscht, adds it at the last minute, just to boil.
Twist
Larissa Simple, beautiful, practical !!!

For borscht, I will cut the vegetables, roll them in a "sausage" bag and freeze them. And then in winter it is very convenient to use these frosts.

a good idea. accidentally something threw my eyes at the avatorki. I look at Avah one menagerie))) and Masha

I also poured juice earlier at the last moment. and now at the beginning - to be honest - it is much tastier, whether it is boiled, and acquires a little sourness. I really like it. I cook only with tomato juice for about 20 years. I cannot compare with tomato paste.but nothing beats fresh tomato puree!

for a 4 liter pot - a half liter (not less) - I can do more. It won't spoil the taste. In the summer I do not count how much, but in the winter I dose it.

well, do not hesitate! much tastier than pasta! I quit at first, but before I did it with frying, I fried it, then I found out how harmful it is and now like this. And do not be afraid, as they told me that the potatoes will be an oak lie, everything will be fine. When the tomato is boiled well, it will taste extraordinary !!! and smell!

Pour it into the ready-made broth? When do you add all the ingredients? If without frying, what about the beets?
fronya40
look at the tomato in MV at the same time with the potatoes. Saute beets, carrots and onions separately and there. all almost simultaneously. I also cooked on the stove myself.
I meant that I don't overcook the tomato, but pour it raw. But I still fry the vegetables. I read that it is the tomato that gets bad when it is fried, I don’t know how true it is, but I tried it raw, I liked it. So the choice is yours. but I recommend.

Thanks, understood. I do the same. Now I will definitely try with juice

Well, live and learn. All my life I have been freezing tomatoes in quarters, in winter it is so "refreshing" for soups. But they take up a lot of space, but I really liked the idea of freezing grated with herbs in bags in rectangular containers with subsequent removal of the container. Valid practical, you can freeze a lot.

scald and come off with a stocking too. Well, yes, it's easier for you - I drove a dump truck with tomatoes to my chest on the balcony, the crane is lifting again - what can't you do, please the prosecutor, yelled- vira-myna little by little and it's done

Do you think I clean fresh ones? Fresh I EAT! And these are old! And from them the skin peels off by itself .
Aunt Besya
IRRka, don't you confusemy own coat their southern tomatoes with my imported northern ones. You can clean our horseradish in any form. They are either oak or prrrrrrr and porridge
kirch
Thanks for the great idea. I collected many small tomatoes and passed them through a meat grinder, did not peel them from the skin. There are no small molds. Frozen in muffin tins

In order to have small amount of juice, I use plastic ice molds, the ones that are sold in rolls. They take up a lot less space when freezingthan individual molds and protected from evaporation... Snap bags are also very convenient - a larger volume is frozen there. Cost a penny.
