Meatballs in tomato sauce

Ingredients

For the meatballs:
Chilled minced meat (I have pork + beef) 500 gr.
Fresh peeled potatoes 200 gr.
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Instant oat flakes 3 tbsp. l. with a slide
Sour milk or not very thick sour cream 100 g
Salt, sugar, spices, herbs
For the sauce:
Large tomato 2 pcs.
Garlic 3 teeth
Meat or vegetable broth 1-2 cups depending on the meatiness of the tomato
Rye flour 2 tsp with a slide
Pea flour 1h l. with a slide
Salt 1 tsp
Aromatic dried herbs: basil, celery, parsley, rosemary, dry grated ginger 1 tbsp. l. with a slide
Baked pepper upon request and availability

Cooking method

  • I love to cook meatballs. I have always loved it, but with the purchase of a meatball maker, I generally trudge from the process! At first, it turned out not very dense and clumsy. Now I'm playing strong and flat.
  • Meatballs in tomato sauce
  • Cooking meatballs. Season the minced meat with salt and spices. For this amount of minced meat, I take about 1.5 tsp. coarse sea salt and ½ tsp. freshly ground spices (I love black meat, allspice, nutmeg, cumin, coriander with meat). Giving the norms of spices and salt is not a rewarding task, as it may happen that our tastes differ. So take them as advice, not as a basis. Always focus on your feelings and addictions.
  • When the minced meat is seasoned, let's start adding additives. Chop the potatoes (in the recipe it is already peeled) together with the onions, and send them to the bowl of a small blender. Grind to a very fine state. Almost gruel. To do this, periodically collect it from the walls with a spatula, otherwise it strives to escape.
  • Now mix all the ingredients together and knead very thoroughly (with your hands or with the hook of a food processor). Knead for at least 5-7 minutes, avoiding overheating. We send it to the refrigerator for a period of 40 minutes.
  • Let's go to the sauce. Whisk the garlic tomatoes well in a blender with salt and herbs. It should be tasty and a little spicy. Now add flour and a little broth. The amount of broth depends on the meatiness of the tomato. Therefore, adjust according to your appearance. Beat and get the sauce. The sour cream is not very thick.

  • We sculpt meatballs from minced meat and fry them in a pan, in a slow cooker or on a baking sheet in the oven.
  • Meatballs in tomato sauce
  • Then pour the sauce and stew the fried meatballs in the slow cooker on the Stew program. If the meatballs are baked, then bring the sauce to a boil and boil for a couple of minutes until thickened. Fill in the meatballs and heat well.
  • We get a delicious dish. We will garnish with whatever your heart desires!

There were a lot of tomatoes in the summer. I cooked this sauce all the time. The tomatoes were fleshy and sweet. I bought from one seller all the time. I'm looking forward to next season. I got hooked. Now I miss you. Soft and overripe in the sauce was just fine. A beautiful sauce was obtained from yellow tomatoes. Awesome taste was obtained with the addition of baked sweet pepper. Recommend!
