It is more convenient for me to put the grill on the burner, where the fire is weaker, and I still screwed it in half. In general, I did not fry, but dried food. I cut the blue ones into slices, dried out - do not gnaw, the potatoes are even baked, but they are so crunchy, they do not fit in the throat, the mushrooms are more or less normal, but not salty at all, no taste, although they are pickled.
Today I turned on the fire to the maximum and until the characteristic aroma of roasted meat went from the meat, I did not screw it on. Then she slightly reduced it and did not open it for 20 minutes. Turned over and again the fire to maximum, until the grill was well heated and, having reduced the flame, brought the meat to readiness. I did the same with vegetables.
In general, like any new thing, you need to adapt and understand how it works, adjust for yourself and everything will work out.

For my burner, half heat is not enough for grilling, it dries out, not roasts. I do the maximum and then screw it 2/3. And, probably, the height of the grate, which is on the stove above the burners, matters. I'm not low. In general, everyone needs to adapt to their stove.
