Cake "In a pan"

Cake In a Frying Pan

Ingredients

Cakes:
condensed milk 1 can
egg 1 PC.
flour 3 tbsp.
soda (slaked with vinegar) 1 tsp
Custard cream:
milk 500 ml
flour 4 tbsp. l.
eggs 2 pcs.
sugar 1.5 tbsp.
vanilla sugar 1 sachet
Butter / butter margarine 200 g

Cooking method

  • A very democratic recipe for a delicious cake! It turns out to be moderately sweet, very soft, tender, just melting in your mouth ... And most importantly - it cooks quickly!
  • Cakes:
  • Knead the dough (it turns out to be soft) so that it does not stick to your hands and roll out well. We put a frying pan on the stove for heating. Divide the dough into 8 (sometimes I do more, if I want more cakes, and thinner) parts, roll it out to a size slightly larger than the diameter of the pan, prick in several places with a fork and put it on a dry preheated pan. After a minute, turn over (the cakes are fried very quickly, so you need to make sure that they do not burn). Cut off the removed cake (the cuttings will then be used to sprinkle the cake). It takes me a maximum of 30 minutes to knead the dough and bake the cakes.
  • Custard cream:
  • Most often I do it according to a different recipe, this one is more democratic.
  • Mix all the ingredients, except for the oil, and cook until thickened. Put 200 g of butter (or butter margarine) in a warm cream.
  • Assembly:
  • Smear the cakes warm! cream, sprinkle the top and sides with crumbled scraps.
  • Cooking process:
  • Sorry for the quality of the photo, it was captured on the phone.
  • I first added the egg to the condensed milk, mixed

Then I added soda, quenched with vinegar
    Cake In a Frying Pan
Then, I began to add flour, stir
    Cake In a Frying Pan
When it became difficult to stir with a spoon, I kneaded the dough on the table (do not hammer the dough too much, it should be soft)

    Divided into parts
    Cake In a Frying Pan
I put the pan to warm up (over medium heat), and at this time I rolled out the layer and pricked it in several places with a fork (it's hard to see in the photo)
    Cake In a Frying Pan
To prevent it from breaking, I wound it on a rolling pin. I put the cake in a dry hot frying pan and fry for no more than a minute (you have to keep looking all the time, they bake VERY quickly). As one side is fried, turn it over to the other side with a spatula and also fry for no more than a minute. After frying the cakes, burnt flour remains. I brushed it off with a tea towel down the sink and continued to fry the next cake in a clean frying pan. Fried the cakes

  • Grease the cakes liberally with warm (even hot cream, then the cake will be softer and quickly soaked). Smear the cream on the sides, and sprinkle the whole thing with crumbs from the scraps.
  • Here's what we got (by the way, besides the scraps, I also took 1 crust for sprinkling the cake)

  • And if you let the cake rest overnight (and not a couple of hours), then the taste will be even better!

Time for preparing:

40-50 minutes

, roll out to a size slightly larger than the diameter of the pan,

Should the cakes go over the sides of the pan? You will get a plate, then you cannot put it down during a coup ...
Or maybe roll out a smaller diameter?
There are no more questions, I took it to the bookmarks, I will definitely try. The photo looks very appetizing.

well, in general, you can have a slightly larger diameter, (this is basically, if not a large frying pan), and if it is large enough, then roll it out as it suits you. the recipe is really cool, no questions asked

The recipe itself does not contain oil in the cream.

Thank you for reminding me of the forgotten recipe. She often baked for home celebrations during the crisis of the 90s. Cheap, affordable and tasty
Margit
A long time ago I baked such cakes for my children, and now I have even forgotten ... In my old cookbook there are many such simple, affordable and delicious recipes. The new is the well-forgotten old!
I will definitely bake it, thanks for reminding me!

I WANT TO EXPERIENCE SUCH A SIMPLE CAKE ALSO
CRALKA
Neighbor I have such bakes constantly ... for all the holidays ...: crazy: Excuse me for frankness .. but he's not tasty .... I do not argue that someone will be delighted.
Inusya
Karinochka, I've gotten exhausted over these weekend-holidays, and the most joyful one for me is still ahead - Christmas.
Mine have already had enough of everything, so I want to try to make this option (for a lazy person). Clarification is necessary, you have the number of cakes that went - everything in the photo? or still behind the scenes? I counted 11 pieces. Correct if anything ...
Otherwise, I already want me to be completely lafa, so as not to think at all

I blinded 11 balls, rolled them out, fried them while I went to my son 1 burned out, 10 remained, then, in addition to scraps, I took another cake (I love when there are a lot of crumbs) I crumbled, it turned out a cake of 9 cakes))) the most shit, if you have time, let it will last longer, the taste will be richer, and the cake will be softer. in general, it is very similar in taste to Napoleon))) only the cakes are a little softer, and thanks to condensed milk, a little sweeter.

I am very interested in your cake. Only now I did not understand - wind it on a rolling pin and transfer it to a frying pan. How to do it? Should the rolling pin be smaller than the pan? Is the frying pan round? And how to promote it there?
RybkA
Oh, in the pan? I wonder ... and what diameter is your frying pan?
And I think it must be delicious. Isn't custard tasty?
Albina
Yesterday I baked this cake, but baked it in the oven - I didn't want to bother with a frying pan. We'll eat today. I will say one thing: it took the same amount of time if I baked NAPALEON

Well, this is the whole thing "with the oven, you don't need to bother" each cake in a frying pan is baked for a maximum of a minute. and the result is the same)))) in general, you shouldn't have baked them in the oven) I think it won't be "that", they made the task difficult for themselves) that's why he was "in the pan"

in general, that layer of dough I rolled out, applied to a (ordinary) rolling pin (example)Cake In a Frying Pan, so that it would not break, if I transferred it to the pan with my hands, the dough would break. in general, I threw it into a frying pan, it takes about 2 minutes for the first cake (since the pan has not yet warmed up enough, fried it on one side, then, like a regular pancake), turned it over with a spatula, and fried it on the other side.the rest are baked for no more than a minute ( this is the whole point of this cake, it is done very quickly).

almost like naoleon to taste))) only thanks to the cakes is something different, the cakes themselves are sweet, thanks to condensed milk, and much softer than cakes for Napoleon. and when the song is infused. for such a quick cake, I repeat, very tasty))

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I could not get on the Internet: the children stood in line to him. Finally we tried this cake. Our impressions: very well soaked. By the way, I liked the cream itself, although I have made the custard many times already, but apparently the proportions were not very good, and there was always not enough of it for the cake. Here I really liked EVERYTHING IN MEASURE.
In general the cake is moderately sweet, as they say for an amateur.

I'm glad I liked it, good health. maybe after the recall, if someone from the sweet tooth decides to make, they will add a little more sugar))

what a handsome man !!!!!!!! , also from 12 cakes! ... Did you use the trimmings for sprinkling? or a couple of biscuits?
Margit
Mistletoe, don't you have a suitable rolling pin? I have several of them, each time I sort through and choose which one will roll out this or that dough better.

Karinochka, only scraps were used for sprinkling, even these crumbs turned out to be too much for a cake.
