Japanese flounder

Ingredients

Ingredients:
flounder, halibut or other small flat fish 4 small carcasses
Marinade:
soy sauce 6 tbsp
sake or dry white wine 2 tbsp
Sesame oil 2 tbsp
lemon juice 1 tbsp
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
grated ginger 1 tsp
garlic, crushed 1 clove

Cooking method

  • Fish with a special Japanese marinade. Its delicate flavor goes well with any white fish.
  • 1. Rinse the fish and pat dry with a paper kitchen towel.
  • 2. Make a few cuts on the sides of the fish to absorb the marinade.
  • 3. Combine all sauce ingredients in a large platter.
  • 4. Place the fish in the marinade and turn over several times so that it is soaked in the marinade on all sides. Leave in the refrigerator for 1-6 hours.
  • 5. In the meantime, prepare the side dish. Cut carrots into thin cubes, chop green onions. Bake fish on the barbecue or in the oven for 10 minutes, turning once.
  • Sprinkle with chopped onions and carrots and transfer the fish to a serving dish. Serve immediately.
  • When serving, you can sprinkle the fish with sesame seeds.
