Ingredients

Wheat flour 450g.
Egg 2 pcs.
Milk 100g.
Olive oil 2st. l.
Feta cheese (fetaxa, fetaki) 200g.
Fresh yeast 15g.
Dill greens a handful (10-15g.)
Salt 1 \ 2h. l.
Caraway 1 \ 2h. l.
Sugar 1h l.
For lubrication:
Egg 1 PC.
For sprinkling:
Hard cheese 100g.

Cooking method

  • Grind yeast with sugar.

  • Beat eggs with milk. Add oil, feta, dill. Beat again.

  • Add flour, salt, cumin into the mixture.

  • Knead a smooth, elastic dough. In the combine for 7 minutes at high speed. For HP - "Dough" mode.

  • Put the dough on the table sprinkled with flour. Form a ball. Then knead it into a cake. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with paper. Cover with a bag and leave in a warm place for 40 minutes.

  • Before baking, brush with an egg and sprinkle with grated cheese.

  • Bake in an oven preheated to 190C for 25 minutes.

  • Cool on a wire rack.

Hello! I baked cakes, it was necessary to use Sirtaki cheese. I also added oregano (besides the dill). I left the dough in the fermentation, first on the table, then in the refrigerator. Then I divided it into 4 parts, formed a cake from each (2 pieces per baking sheet), pierced it with a fork (for this purpose, I attached a plastic disposable one, I just break off every second tooth) and left it to proof. Before baking, sprinkled with a mixture of cheeses (Parmesan, Gouda, Dutch), baked with steam.
