Ingredients

Cucumber / tomato pickle 260 ml
Flour 400 g
Salt 0.5-0.75 h. L
Honey / sugar 2/1 st. l
Fat / vegetable oil 50 g
Yeast 1.75 tsp
Dry ground thyme 2-3 st. l
Hard cheese, coarse grated or finely chopped as much as you like

Cooking method

  • After kneading in a bread maker, I fold the cake "6 times", let it come up for half an hour, fold it again, put it in a Princess or a mold, sprinkle with cheese, "trample" it with my palm, let it come to a good thickness, bake for about 12-15 minutes from cold. The cheese is fried a little, but I like it so much. If you don't like the roasted cheese, you cansput it between the layers of dough when folding.
  • In the oven - about 20 minutes at a temperature of 180-190 * C.
  • Baked in a bread maker, too, good.
  • Thyme can be replaced with any other favorite herb, even dry dill. But with Italian it tastes better and "focaccia".
  • Lard is tastier and fluffier than vegetable oil.
  • Usually I dispose of any remaining and slightly dried cheese into this cake. Yes, you can probably stuff any flavor residues: sausage, meat, mushrooms, green onions ..
  • The flatbread is tasty, fluffy, tender. And it smells! .. Everyone at once: herbs from brine, honey, Italian herbs, cheese ...
