Kamusik, they are not so soft, approximately like toffee. I think it will not be right for the layer.

Kamusik, Tanya, you can make it softer if you cook the sugar mixture less. the longer we cook, the harder the roasted nuts are. but I don’t know if this will be exactly what you want in the cake .. this layer will still be hard, like for a cake, it seems to me .. maybe it’s better to look for a special recipe for a roast layer? otherwise it's a pity, suddenly it won't work out the way you want ..

Well - I cooked as Tanya advised Zinger, four minutes half a serving.Because I have only one silicone mold, I poured the rest into a rectangular jar on a film and cut it into cubes after cooling ... No chocolate. And those in the molds have chocolate on top. Delicious!!!!!
