In a sandwich maker, I am confused by the fact that I don't know if I can make a delicious thin toast there (I can't, as I understand it). You can only make sandwiches, or cheat and put two pieces, and then turn them over ... They still won't turn out as crumbly on the outside and soft on the inside, as in a toaster? Or delicious? Sometimes I want a too little crispy toast, and a thin jam on it, for example.
Why can't you make thin crispy toasts in a sandwich maker? You can very well! My daughter and I do it on a grill plate - it turns out a thin striped toast.
By the way, my sandwich maker is already 8 years old ... Doca bought herself for her dowry. We use it all the time, mainly using the grill plate. I forgot to say - I have 3 in 1, daughter's - 4 in 1. There is a grill plate.

Tell me, did anyone make sandwiches from bran bread, rye or whole grain flour? Delicious?
I bake bread with the addition of c / z flour, and from it we make toasts. We are very tasty !!!
Quote: darsergevna

You will have to put a sandwich maker on your head))
I had it at one time on the windowsill, but in general it is not that big and it can be placed for storage while standing, it takes up very little space.

Now I'm thinking of going to the store and looking at both devices, touching, thinking ...
The right decision!!!

Olya, I bought Moulinex. In an impulse to search, I decided that it was with a grill plate, but at home it turned out that there was only a waffle and a sandwich one .. so I'll get used to this one.

Now I made cottage cheese waffles and sandwiches with banana and chocolate. In the dough for waffles - a couple of packs of cottage cheese, three yolks, flour per eye, a piece of plums. butter, sugar, vanillin, milk, then gently mixed in the whipped egg whites. The children really liked it) And I took the bread quickly in the store, and it turned out to be so small, the sandwiches are tiny, the banana sticks out of them)) But it still turned out interesting. The bread is really crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, delicious.
I found a place, removed the jars of cereals and semolina from the table (dada, some went to the annex)) prepared waffles / sandwiches, closed the apparatus and put it vertically against the wall. It takes up very little space. Tell me, can you close and put it hot right after work? Or should you keep it open until it gets cold?
Ukka
Congratulations on your assistant !!!
May it please you for a very long time and tasty !!!

I cool it open until at least a warm state and then close it.

This morning I put the bread directly on the waffle plates and covered it neatly. It turned out delicious funny toasts in a square)

I still want to buy a sandwich maker, but I still can't choose.I would like to have more power, to quickly fry, and the removable panels are different (and more) and nothing sticks and everything worked out well and worked well.
Or give up and buy something?

Maybe we can do something like a comparison plate, who has some kind of sandwich maker:

- power
- how many panels
- how long does it take to prepare a sandwich
etc.

I found an article, maybe someone is interested in looking at: 🔗

I continue to search.
And what about this one?
ORION sandwich maker OR-SM05.
Power 750 W. Non-stick inner coating for easy cleaning. Special electrical insulating coating for the body. Compact design.
4 interchangeable inner surface shapes:
a) for sandwiches - a sandwich maker;
b) for thick waffles - waffle iron;
c) for browning and heating - grill;
d) for confectionery nuts - hazelnut.
Toaster, sandwich maker
rusja
the functionality is very gorgeous
but in terms of power, the oven will be longer than 900 W, 5 minutes, but it is not critical that it will burn out, it can dry out if left for a long time
Keti
But what can you choose from this list?
🔗
True, there is no photo of removable plates.
rusja
they are almost all identical with 700 W power and the same functionality, if the priority is speed and power, then I liked the last (available) STEBA SG 40, there you can make thicker butters, more from thin ones everything always flowed into the inside (cheese, tomatoes) and burnt
Natka8
Hello everybody! I also choose a 3-in-1 sandwich maker and I'll probably stop at STEBA SG 35. Only the power is a little embarrassing - 700 watts ... But, in moulinex, 650 in general and they are happy, like the owners - the waffles bake well, and this is an indicator. Girls, who has the technique of this company, how is their coating and quality in general? They write that Germany ... And about Orions 4 in 1 I read that it will cover the coverage quickly ...
MarinaK
And a month ago I received a multi-grill 6 (7) in one. Power 750 W. Of course too small, but so far everything is fine. I tried different plates, but not all. Happy as an elephant 🔗

Universal simply with a rectangular notch in the entire area, and for an omelet in the shape of a semicircle. But for me (I don’t know how from whom) the latch does not fasten when preparing an omelet. I think that may be the way it should be, since there is a lot of evaporation. But an omelet for 1 person, no more. I haven't tried cookies yet, all hands don't reach

Suitable for sandwiches, if not everyone loves cropped triangles, as in an ordinary standard sandwich maker?
MarinaK
Have not tried the buters. Made them on a striped grill plate. But on this one, I think, it is possible, firstly, thicker, and, secondly, the buters will not be striped. I tried pies and sandwiches on a sandwich plate. I liked it. Husband likes panini-type sandwiches on the grill plate
MarinaK
By the way, there was an idea to try pizza on a universal plate, only rectangular in shape. After all, there are heating elements on top and a snout. I'll try it today!
rusja
By the way, very interesting, with a pizza, we are waiting for reports and preferably with a photo

The most amazing thing is that no. Although that was exactly what I was afraid of. But since the coatings are non-stick and the grooves on the top and bottom of the plates are not. With such plates and with omelet plates, the latch does not close, thanks to which you can cook something thicker
rusja
Just a super unit! These plates for omelets and pizza are just a godsend, but few have

How long does it take to bake sandwiches?
It all depends on what you like and depending on what kind of sandwich they are. I did it with sausage and cheese, for example, for 1-2 minutes. I didn't need it anymore. After all, this is a matter of taste.

She baked the pizza for 10-12 minutes. But in this volume it is only for one person. I would like more. You can think of something else. Until somehow nothing came to mind

I have a Philips sandwich maker. Lay on the shelf for a bunch of years. Thanks a lot to the forum! Now I use it very often. Here I adapted the Serenity recipe "Sugar shortbread cookies (in vegetable oil)" to a sandwich maker. It turned out delicious "ala croissants"Toaster, sandwich maker
flour - 200-250g
vegetable oil - 4 tbsp. l
egg - 1pc
sugar - 2-3 tbsp. l
salt - 1/4 tsp
yogurt - 3 tbsp. l
vinegar - 1 hour l
soda 1/3 tsp
cocoa - 1 tbsp. l
chocolate - 70-80 gr
All the ingredients were poured into the bowl of the food processor and the dough was ready in 3 minutes.
The dough should turn out to be watery, but not very spreading
In a teaspoon (having previously moistened it in water) we collect the dough with a slide and put it in the middle of the triangle of the plate. We sink a piece of chocolate there.
Baking time - 4 minutes. It turned out 20 cookies
I wrote longer than everything was prepared! And my husband ate it very quickly too!
NataliZaika
Hey everyone! As I understand it, it was all done in an ordinary electric sandwich maker

MarinaK! You can make lavash suluguni on your plates. Put a flat slice of suluguni, a couple of circles of tomato, mayonnaise, dill on thin pita bread. If the cheese is not salty, add salt to the tomato. Roll up with a flat roll, bending the edges inward. You can also add pieces of smoked chicken fillet. Before laying, I moisten the pita bread a little with a damp hand. I do not like very dry. And so it turns out a fried crust, but not brittle.
NataliZaika
lana19 tried your recipe, only the dough turned out to be very, very thick (all right about the amount of yogurt?) True, instead of chocolate, I put a banana, also delicious. Next time I will make a little dough of my own, although my sandwich maker is not triangles, but one for a large slice of bread (I find it difficult to describe). This device is at our house a long time ago, only we stopped using it: girl_mad: Now, I suspect he will have a second wind!
I also want to try potato pancakes from potatoes - just here in Latvia they harvest potatoes. Yummy ...... .
lana19
NataliZaika! Most likely it's my torment. You always have to add more than the recipe. I didn't take this into account. Try reducing the amount of flour next time. I understand that you have a shape in the form of one or two rectangles? This makes it even more convenient. You can make mini biscuits and casseroles.

People who use the Bosch TAT6104 toaster? How was it? I so wanted to buy it, and it was a red one. Mabut, the weather is favorable for bright spots. Although, as they say, the red and the fool is glad!

I have one. It seems that they already wrote about him. The toaster is good. But if you dry wheat bread, then a "C" is enough, but for rye and "six" is not enough (for me personally). I never used a heating system for buns. And also ... maybe it's only mine, but the handle is fixed a little taut.

The girls are cute! Thank you very much again for opening my eyes to such a necessary thing as a sandwich maker, which has been on my shelf for so many years! If it were not for you with your ideas that it is possible to cook more in it, besides sandwiches, it would have been safely sold.
Today I made a liver cake in it. Well, not a cake, but two rectangular turrets. But how convenient! You don't need to turn anything! And then nothing needs to be cut - convenient portioned triangles. I used to suffer in a frying pan all the time. I don't like to add a lot of flour. The pancakes were breaking. And here is the beauty !!!!!!!!!!
All health, happiness and new tasty ideas!

Good evening! I found at the flea market two sandwich makers for 4 triangles each, they cost 400 rubles, one is Mulinex, the second is Philips (I don't know the model numbers). Tell me, do I need them? Once I saw how they cook and tried sandwiches, I liked it. But how necessary is this thing in the presence of two AG, two waffle makers and AF in addition?

By the way, the most delicious bread is fried on a gas burner or in an AG, in the absence of gas.

Mash, I have Moulinex 2 in1, these are triangles and thick waffles. If you really, really love hot sandwiches, then you should take it, and if every once in a while, then AF rules, it (AF) rules me, by the way, and it drives more puff pastries than triangles. I left only for waffles, well, for a variety of sandwiches ... Before the appearance of the Orion pancake maker, I still made pancakes, cheesecakes, cupcakes there, but in the pancake they turned out to be much oooo tastier ... in general, I only make waffles ...
I am beautifull
