Today I received Vitek VT-1517 (BN) It’s insanely sorry for the deceased coffee machine ... but we’ll somehow live on. I don’t belong to coffee lovers, rather for my husband, but her cappuccino foam is excellent !!
Aunt Basia how is the coffee machine? I want to buy the same. You can buy from us for 10,000 -11,000 rubles. Or not worth it?

Hello! Help, tell me, please: I bought a coffee maker, like this 🔗

I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong: the coffee in it turns out to be some kind of watery and too bitter. Previously, there was a simple Roventa, also carob, it seems to have all the parameters worse (the pressure is lower, there is no auto-shutdown, the water tank is small), but the coffee was tastier.

Maybe there are some secrets on how to get Delongee to brew normal coffee? A finer grind or something else ...

Adjust the grind. The larger, the more bitter the coffee. Buy a mechanical coffee grinder with ceramic millstones or an expensive electric coffee grinder with ceramic or metal millstones, but with millstones, not knives. If the coffee grinder is simple, knife-like, then you simply burn coffee beans in it, and therefore bitter coffee. Runny, bad coffee beans. Watch the roast and the type of coffee. ... You need a tamper, with tamper you press down the coffee, ram it so that the flow is even. 25 seconds per flow is needed. In general, carob coffee makers require more tambourine dances. I had a carob, so a coffee roaster was bought for this carob, they bought specially green coffee, roasted themselves. But the coffee maker broke down quickly, they didn't buy any more carob, they are cheap, they are cheap, you can't brew normal coffee in them, and if you buy, you had to buy exactly a very expensive Italian and exactly the same expensive coffee grinder, and we were spending more than 1000 euros not ready, so we limited ourselves to a full automatic machine Delongy, We are not coffee gurus from the word at all, but what we get in full automatic machine completely suits us. We roast the coffee ourselves. We buy green grain on purpose.

So the fact is that the primitive Roventa makes coffee tastier from exactly the same coffee (I pour it from one can). Without dancing with a tambourine, just add coffee, pour water and wait.

I described to you in the principle what you need to get more or less normal coffee in this price category of coffee makers.
If for Roventa it is suitable just to pour, pour and wait, then with Delongy this option most likely does not work. Try all the same "dancing with tambourines", change the grind, buy another coffee, of a higher quality.

Nyctalus, it still takes time to throw out a few dozen cups for disposal, so that all the mechanisms are washed and the taste of iron disappears. IMHO

And just recently we discovered new varieties of coffee. Waiting for the delivery of Ethiopia Mengesh Dereso, who completely charmed even me, who prefers bitterness in coffee, bought the same coffee varieties I liked - Ethiopia Irgacheff Nat and Costa Rica Azalea.

A question for users of a similar brand of coffee maker: what kind of coffee made in a coffee maker do you like? Share, if not difficult, the names of varieties and your feedback.

Pchela maja, Thank you for the information!
The "Verona" variety was used with biscuit notes. The aroma is very persistent, when the package was closed, several particles of ground coffee were spilled, so the whole package smelled deliciously of cookies. But I didn’t like the prepared drink too much; the overly intrusive aroma created the impression of an artificial flavoring agent.
Of the other varieties, I did not like the "French Roast" at all. The coffee turned out to be flat and not expressive, without nuances and shades of taste. Normal coffee with bitterness, good, but there are better varieties.
