Ingredients

Dough:
Flour 450 -500 g
Salt pinch
Olive (vegetable) oil 60 ml
Natural yoghurt 250 ml
Filling:
Olive (vegetable) oil
Chicken fillet (boiled) 500 g
chicken broth 50 ml
Garlic 3 teeth
Large onion 1 PC.

Parsley (I didn't have it), oregano
Flour
Yolk (or egg) for / lubrication

Cooking method

  • Make the filling.
  • Fry the onion and garlic in hot oil. Add chicken broth and simmer.
  • Add chicken, torn into pieces or cut into small cubes, and tomatoes, cut into small pieces. Stew for 2 minutes.
  • Reduce heat and season with spices. Sprinkle with flour to thicken. I sprinkled 1 tbsp. l.
  • Allow to cool.
  • While the filling is cooling, prepare the dough.
  • In a bowl, combine yogurt, butter, salt and half the flour. Stir with a wooden spoon and add the rest of the flour little by little. The dough should not stick to your hands. Knead a little with your hands and place on a floured surface. (it took me 460 years of flour, but you should be guided by your own).
  • Divide the dough into 2 pieces and roll out to the size of the mold. If the shape is small, roll it out thicker. If large, thinner. I have a mold diameter of about 30 cm.
  • Cover the bottom of the mold with a layer of dough so that there are high sides. Roll out the second layer of dough to a slightly smaller size.
  • Place the filling on the dough and cover with a second rolled layer on top.
  • Tie the edges of the cake together well. I made several cuts on the top to let the steam out.
  • Brush with yolk mixed with 1 tbsp. l. water (or an egg).
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 180 grams until golden brown. I baked for about 40 minutes. Be guided by your oven.

Note

Very tasty cake according to my friends (I am at the supportive stage of "sybarite", but tomorrow I will try a small piece for lunch).
Chicken can be substituted with any meat or vegetables to taste.
The dough is very manageable, not sticky. Therefore, it is a pleasure to work with him.

After cooling, it is cut better. When the filling hardens a little.

decided to bake your pie, but it is very hot at home .. and then a brilliant idea arose - to bake in bread maker a slow cooker, from it the heat is less. but this is the case, with a regular bucket, the "baking" mode does not turn on, the unit yells and flashes menacingly with a "no bucket" light. Question - if you bake a pie in a bucket with a pin, will the filling not leak? Or maybe a mode like "fast" or "pilaf", "soup", etc. is suitable for baking?
