Good afternoon everyone! They are ripe for the purchase of an ice cream maker, since there is no choice in Ukraine, then even the ways of acquiring are clear. We cannot decide on the choice between Unold de Lux and Nemox Oxiria (possibly Chef 2200). Please help with the choice of users of such devices.

or here's another option, even cheaper than all the other Ariete 693s:
Ariete 693 ice cream maker does not require a refrigerator
The entire freezing process takes place in the device itself with the help of automatic cooling to -28 C
Of course, I'm not strong in this matter, but it seems to me that if the cooling process takes place in the ice cream maker itself, then there is a refrigerant (or freon, or it's the same thing), but in any case it requires maintenance, that is, refueling. Just like in refrigerators, in air conditioners. And the low price is proof of that. Printers are now also cheap, because the owners will then spend several times more on consumables. Why such a hassle? Maybe it's easier to put it in the freezer?
Creamy
NatusyaD, What kind of ice cream maker do you have, or rather what type of service does it belong to? What do you serve it, filling it with some kind of freon? Or are you just popping into the freezer?
NatusyaD
Creamy, I don't have an ice cream maker yet, so I was puzzled by the choice, so I went into this thread. As for the service - for the first time I heard that there are ice cream makers that do not require a refrigerator and suggested that something should cool there. Air conditioners and refrigerators are cooled by means of freon, which requires maintenance and refueling. If the cooling in the Ariete 693 ice cream maker is somehow different, then this is probably a good option. Do not clog the freezer, do not think about it in advance. I wanted ice cream - I did it!
Creamy
And I just have Ariete, and my cup is always "charged", in the sense of frozen. But I have a pantry next to the kitchen. where there is a separate huge freezer taller than me. Here in it, in one of the drawers, a frozen bowl stands.

How often do you refuel your refrigerator or air conditioner? About the fact that printers are cheap. you can argue, of course, if you buy for 1 thousand rubles, then what to expect from him, and if you buy for 6-7 thousand, then there will be no problems. Also with an ice cream maker. And what do you think is a low price - in Russia, milling cutters are cheaper than 25 thousand rubles, I have not observed.

Basja, the home air conditioner was installed not so long ago, it has never been refueled. But we clean the worker and refuel once a year. Our refrigerator is also new so far, but the old one had to be refueled before buying this.
I'm not ready to buy an ice cream maker for 25 thousand. In general, I have not yet studied the question of price, I was puzzled by this only today, because I wanted a yogurt maker, she arrived 2 days ago, now I need to want something else
And about printers, I may not put it that way. I meant that manufacturers intend to sell printers at the price of a cartridge, since users spend tens of times more money on consumables than the cost of a printer during their use. I didn't mean renovation. Consumables are paint, powder (in laser) and paper.

I also want a large freezer and a large pantry and an ice cream maker and another apartment and ... In general, when the goldfish heard my wishes, it pretended to be dead
Basja
NatusyaD, of course, I don’t know what kind of air conditioners, I have to refuel for a certain number of years, we do not fill anything, they work perfectly, the only thing is that the spouse periodically cleans them. Mom has a refrigerator and still works, produced in 1954, it was also called "ZISMoskva", the sealing gum on the door was changed twice because it began to crumble, and freon, as it was sealed, freezes better than any new one. As for the prices of consumables, I think the manufacturer has nothing to do with it, it's all the intermediaries who wind up, so I wrote that an ice cream maker costs 25 thousand (this is in Moscow) and in Germany it costs about 157 Euros, that is, with delivery to me became about 7 thousand. So it is with consumables.

Thanks to the few who responded to the previous post, but still ... There is a difference of 100 euros between Nemox Oxiria and Unold de lux. What is it caused by? And is there a difference in the consistency of the resulting product, that is, ice cream?

In terms of the consistency of the resulting product, ice cream makers with their own compressor are no different from cheap models with a bowl in the freezer. At the exit - soft ice cream, which must be additionally "hardened", frozen to a solid state.

Tricky question. With a trick.
We have enough ice cream makers here (and it's great!). Are there many among you who are disappointed with the purchase? Surely there are those who played and abandoned. Is it a necessary thing in the household, or pampering? How regularly do you use it?
I ordered this unit: There are no reviews, as I understand it, the device is on the market recently, and buying the first is always risky. But I love Dex! He has never let me down. And I also bought the Dex blender almost the first, without reviews.
I'm just not sure I need an ice cream maker. And I did it manually once - I didn't like it, it froze wrong.

I have a Kenwood ice cream attachment, but I bought myself a milling cutter, i.e. a standalone ice cream maker. The nozzle bothered me by the fact that the bowl must be constantly kept in the freezer, otherwise the ice cream must be planned, when to make, when to put the bowl in the freezer (and this is the time and what an important place), and the router turned on at any time and after 50 minutes the ice cream is ready. I am very satisfied.

In the spring I bought an ice cream maker Ariete 638
In principle, I am satisfied with the work, I have been making ice cream all summer - I am delighted. But I have nothing to compare with, I have it 1. But there is a very big minus! The stupid design of the ice cream maker itself, when the bucket itself is in the freezer, and I always have it in the freezer, the remaining 2 parts of the ice cream maker are bulky, not compact and do not add up to each other, the engineer who designed all this is stupid. Now I would buy another model.

Here I am about the same thing that the bucket should always be in the freezer, and it (at me in any case) takes up a lot of space.
In fact, the floor of the box

Probably not correctly stated my idea. Yes, the bowl takes up a lot of space in the freezer, it doesn't bother me very much ..
But I meant the remaining plastic body of the ice cream maker, there are two parts: upper and lower. They are very bulky, do not stack one on top of the other, not one compactly into another, each on its own. That is, when the bowl is in the freezer, the ice cream maker cannot be assembled without it.
azaza
Probably, I also misunderstood your idea. I don’t understand how you want the ice cream maker to fold if the bottom of it is in the freezer? Need to make a second bottom piece specifically for storage? A type of container for additional accessories, as in some combines? In principle, it would be nice, but it would significantly increase the cost of the device.
My upper part consists not of two, but of three parts: a motor, a removable cover and a stirrer itself (probably, in all of them, there is nothing to compare with, this is my first ice cream maker). The first two are assembled together, but the mixer fits compactly into the assembled lid.

Hello everyone.
Help me with advice on what I am doing wrong, beat the whites and yolks (store) with powdered sugar separately, milk with cream (market) and powder, mix everything, put it in the freezer for 30 minutes, then pour it into the ice cream maker and start, at the end process at the bottom of the constantly ice cream crust, you have to pick out your fingers, how to avoid this?
Thank you.

I made my first ice cream - an ice cream, according to Anastasia's recipe, it turned out very tasty, my relatives knew better for both cheeks, Thanks for the recipe.
I made the second portion of ice cream with nuts and chocolate, it turned out in consistency, like kazinaki))) only instead of caramel - ice cream. I didn't like it, I probably went too far with the filler, but my husband really liked it,

When I make ice cream with fillings, I take the ice cream as a basis and add to it either nuts, or instant coffee, or chocolate, or pieces of fruit. I add "by eye". I make popsicles and I can also add nuts to it, but also within the "reasonable", well, so that the nuts do not clog the taste of the fruit, but this is my IMHO.

I saw this Saturn ice cream for sale. She is an exact copy of the CUISINART ICE30BCE ice cream maker

I propose to put a table on the choice of an ice cream maker in the first post of the topic.
Fill in the table itself with the help of the topic participants.
I will post my preliminary version (basically what you can buy in Ukraine). Prices in Ukraine.
Separate class - yogurt ice cream makers
1. Saturn ST-FP8521 (cheap analogue of CUISINART ICE30BCE - only 52 dollars) - 2 litersbut the container is made of aluminum.
2. Ariete 645 - 1.5 liters.
2. Ariete 637 - 1.2 liters (1 kg), aluminum container, bowl height 14 or 15 cm.
3. Ariete 635 - 1.2 liters
4. Vinis VIY-500W - only 500 ml.

Ice cream makers.
1. Freezers.
1.1. Nemox are the best, but expensive.
1.2. BARTSCHER 135002 (450 US) -Germany- Freezing temperature: -35 С, 1.1 kg
1.3. Unold DE LUXE - Germany. Freezing from -25 to -28 C, Unold Cortina -1.5 liters.
1.4. Delonghi ICK 8000 (2 containers of 1.2 liters each), 6000 \ 5000 - the difference between 6000 and 5000 is that it has some kind of patented technology "double taste" (1 container of 1.2 liters - 700 g of ice cream) - $ 370/326 , all bowls are stainless steel.
1.5. Trisa 7713 Gelateria ($ 470) - 1.4 liters, it seems there were bad reviews on the forum, the bowls are stainless steel. Or maybe aluminum (on the company's website there is only 1 model with the number 7714, so there is aluminum). On the plus side (in advertising) - the lowest freezing temperature is -22 ° C plus there is a removable stainless steel cooking container - you can cook 2 portions in succession.
1.6. Ariete 693 ($ 245) 2 500 ml containers - bad, I don't know what the bowls are made of, but I think they are made of aluminum.
1.7. DEX DICM-100 (200 $ !!!) - 1.2 liters, the cheapest, but the bowl is made of aluminum and China. The freezing temperature is also up to -22 degrees Celsius.
2. Simple ice cream makers - I propose to distinguish 2 subclasses - bowls made of aluminum and bowls made of stainless steel. As it turned out, there are no stainless steel bowls in simple ice cream makers. And where they write, it's just a deception.
I will add only the best representatives.
Aluminum.
1. Clatronic ICM 3225 ($ 40) - capacity 1 kg, the forum is very praised, everyone is happy, Germany (type), bowl height 15 cm, time 10-12 hours at -18 degrees.
2. Ariete 638 ($ 46) - 1.5 liters.
3. Severin EZ 7401 - 1 liter.
4. Elbee Icy 24900 ($ 40) review (not mine) - before opting for a product of this company, I "touched" the Ariete and Clatronic ice cream makers in the shop window and was very disappointed with their quality of both plastic and workmanship.
5. DAEWOO DI-8372 - 1.2 liters.
6. Land Life BL 1450 - 1.45 liters, bowl height 15 cm.
Stainless steel. It turns out that it is not on the market, everything is aluminum. Bitterly disappointed.
1. Delonghi IC 8500 ($ 60) - 1.5 liters (800 g), bowl height 14 cm, time in the freezer - 12-16 hours. Wrong to stainless steel.
2. Trisa 7718 Gelatino ($ 50) - 1 liter - Switzerland type, bowl height 13 cm, time at least 8 hours. Wrong to stainless steel.
3. Kenwood IM 280 ($ 55) - 1.5 liters, 2 handles, very comfortable, a lot of positive feedback, bowl height 15 cm, time 12-24 hours. Wrong to stainless steel.
4. Kenwood IM 250 ($ 52) - 1 liter - the purchase is unprofitable in the light of the presence of the 280th model, the time is 12-24 hours. Wrong to stainless steel.
You can also include the height of the bowl in the classification, it's just irrelevant for me, since the Liebherr freezer has variospace shelves.
I also propose to include in the classification the required time the bowl is in the freezer.

Found convenient ice cream recipes from kenwood and delongue. Maybe someone wants to download them.

Bon Appetit!
P.S. I received information from the DeLonghi-market online store by mail: I am giving my correspondence
-Why does the description of the Delonghi IC 8500 Ice Cream Maker specify an aluminum bowl and not a stainless steel one?
-This is indicated in our description because Delonghi IC 8500 ice cream makers have always been with aluminum bowls.
There is no error on our site!
- Thank you so much for your answer.
And then I met information that only Delonghi IC 8000 with an aluminum bowl, and Delonghi IC 8500 - with a stainless steel.
Does Kenwood 280 have stainless steel or aluminum?
Tell me please.
-Kenwood IM250 and IM280, also aluminum.
Only automatic ice cream makers with stainless steel bowls Delonghi ICK5000, ICK6000, ICK8000 (not yet supplied to Ukraine)
In total, a very sad result - only Trisa remained in cheap stainless steel!
The saddest result - I got my Trisa - there is no stainless steel here and does not smell. Plain aluminum.

Conclusion - stainless steel is available only in professional freezers. I know for sure about the ICK 8000/6000/5000 delongs.
Disappointed terribly. Words cannot describe it.
Why did I read the forum almost 60 pages, dug the Internet, if there is deception everywhere.

What a fool I am - I could take a real freezer DEX DICM-100 for only 200 US, and did not take it because of the aluminum bowl, I could take a 2 liter Saturn, I could have a delongue with an additional lid, or a Kenwood with comfortable handles.
But I rejected everyone and still ended up with aluminum!

Maybe now I will help someone figure it out and not make my mistakes.

I had a Clatronic 3225 ice cream maker, gave it to my sister, because there is a small volume and a mechanical timer control, now I have a 1.5 liter cezon NP1450 ice cream maker, it's very convenient if you need to set the time to one minute. At first I made it from heavy cream, very tasty, but not very soft, so as an experienced user I don't add more than 10%. Now I'm on a diet, I want to try to make from 1.5% milk. An excellent ice cream maker, the bowl is small, easily taken out and fits into the freezer, it really takes a long time to freeze, but this is true for everyone.

Hello!
Just the other day we bought a Clatronic ICM 3225 ice cream maker, and so far the result is so-so, the consistency of liquid sour cream is obtained, not ice cream. I read the forum - it looks like we have a "no ice" refrigerator. It's really old, apparently it doesn't give out -18 degrees.
And such a question in connection with this - how to understand that the container / tank of the ice cream maker has really cooled down properly in the freezer? After 12 hours at -18 degrees, what should it be? Does the refrigerant freeze or is still bubbling? Should a wet hand stick to it or not?
