Well, first of all: Where is it with us? Indicate where you are from in your profile.
secondly: ice cream makers should not be expensive, the girls and I bought for 140 UAH and are satisfied. There is a simple motor with a spatula and a bowl of refrigerant that freezes in the freezer. So it's worth buying, I'm on the next page. I'm going to buy the second year - ice cream goes so well in summer, but enough for one portion per day.

Everything, added the profile
We really have a very small selection of ice cream makers. Only 3 stamps. At a price of (I will indicate in US dollars) $ 13 (some kind of Vesta) - very small, low-power, and suspicious in terms of the quality of performance, some kind of Tefal Mini Sorbet ($ 64) with two 100 ml jars for mixing. (somehow not enough, only 200 ml. turns out), and exactly the same, even in design, Moulinex Mini Sorbet ($ 65), and in both these cups are not even closed with a lid during operation, and also ARIETE DISNEY 637 (yogurt maker - ice cream maker) - $ 175. And that's it! The most, in my opinion, worthy of all is Ariet, but a little expensive for an experiment.
Therefore, I want to try to do it manually first, and if you like the ice cream, then you can think about purchasing an ice cream
Freesia
I want to buy the same ice cream maker, I've been going for half a year. In the meantime, we are happy to eat ice cream from the freezer, stir it once or twice.
Over the summer, they never bought in the store.

Now I wonder if I don't need an ice cream maker
lesik_l
variety, I'm shocked

Our Arieta costs $ 50. Find out who is engaged in delivery from Ukraine to Belarus, I will send it to you.

True, we have options even cheaper, around $ 25-30

variety, countrywoman, as I understand you! Indeed, when I was looking for an ice cream maker last year, I was exhausted. I never bought it in Minsk, too dearly asked for some simple model. As a result, I brought mine from Kiev on occasion. I'm very happy!
If you mature, ask your friends from Russia or Ukraine to bring them. And here this pleasure is unreasonably expensive

Oh, you are so responsive! Thank you very much! I’ll think about an ice cream maker, first I want to try without it, what if my homemade one won’t like mine? Do you have different ones? We are selling one from our hands for $ 20, however, I don't know yet which one and what it is. I'll try to see ... I'm a little confused by the option of buying not from the seller, because if anything, I can neither exchange nor repair it.

Do you definitely whip the ice cream mixture, or can you put unwhipped cream / milk in the refrigerator?

Arch, what kind of ice cream did you buy? This is me in case you have to buy not in Minsk, for example, if you contact lesik_l for help in purchasing, I would like to know which one is more reliable, so that later you do not think about how to repair or change.
Freesia
variety , I look at the recipe, but in most cases quite a bit of a cream mixer with condensed milk. And I can't make cream with a ribbon, it probably depends on the cream, but still the ice cream is excellent

Ice cream makers are all almost the same, they don't need much power - they are not freezers. And the mixture can be not whipped much, just mix well. I also tried to do it just in the freezer, but you butted to run and interfere, and all the same, ice floes are obtained. In an ice maker - like a shop, only tastier and healthier.

You know, for a long time we imagined how we would fight for both ice cream and a place in the freezer (for the bowl) and eventually bought a Delongy freezer (like this 🔗 only the previous model), and before that I thought about choosing Ariet.
But since I can't write anything about Ariet from my own experience, I will say that they are very satisfied with the freezer, it especially helps out when guests come. We fill everything right in front of them, and the freezer sausages, and we have fun. We take out one, load another. The possibility of several consecutive downloads was the very argument that helped to make the choice.

Maybe you really don't need power. But it doesn't matter, that low-power ice cream maker is also very small, about 300 ml. In general, it does not fit
I'll try the mixture unbeaten, run a couple of times

Yes, your freezer looks solid. Only not for me - it's expensive, and I don't want to attach another device somewhere. The kitchen is not very large and not rubbery

took an ice cream maker 🔗
almost a liter of ice cream is obtained from Kletronic. Whipped and did not whisk the mixture, did not notice much difference. It seemed that the whipped one seemed to be fluffier and began to climb out of the bowl faster.

Cream 30% - a blow to the liver :)). Fatty after all. Ice cream was most often made from a mixture: 200ml 3 sachets "Prostokvashino", 1-20% and 2-15% or 10%.

It seems to me that whipping before pouring into an ice cream maker is more for self-soothingness.

I did it manually before. It was also tasty, just stirring it several times out of the freezer is stressful, of course. And, it happens, it stratifies into "egg" and "milk" fractions, which, in fact, did not spoil the taste.

I tried the authentic method with mixing salt and ice ... It is better to invite the one who wanted ice cream most of all to stir the freezing mixture, because the hand falls off, tearing off the layer that quickly freezes on the walls of the dishes.

But, you can always come up with a unit resembling a hand mixer :)). Only, if pounded by hand, it is better to put a gear system like in old sewing machines, or like on a sports bike. To make it easy to twist.

and do not forget to throw in a pinch of salt so that the ice crystals seem to be completely excluded.

Let's try again: in order to get low-fat ice cream without ices, it must be whipped when cooling - there is no ice cream, so by hand. Take a deep bowl, a kilogram of salt, a couple of liters of crushed ice - stir. Inside any container with the mixture proposed above and stir until thickened.
It will not work otherwise

Ay, yes, I understand that I will have to interfere all the time. I need to understand the main question, is it possible to put an unbeaten mass of low-fat cream (which, in principle, does not whip), freeze, or it will turn out unknown what?

Yes, I understood, I realized that during the freezing process, you need to periodically beat or stir it so that no ice particles form.
I just don't understand whether it is necessary before placing it in the freezer for the cream to be whipped into a strong foam, or it is possible for not heavily whipped - 20% AND 10% cream does not whip into a strong foam.
In general, today I will try what happens, then it works.
Thank you, lesik_l, for your attention and patience. I, probably, for you already associate with Mowgli
lesik_l
variety, the occasional stirring option will not work for you with a lean mixture. There is mostly water there. And if crystals are formed, it is problematic to interrupt the crystallization process. Either the mixture should be thick or greasy, and in both cases well beaten - then you can go into the freezer. Otherwise, you need to beat until creamy in a bowl with ice and only after that put it in the freezer and stir less often.

I don't want you to just translate the products.

Or try a simple banana with a little cream for a start. Banana is a thickener and contains little water. See what happens. And then you will continue to deal with the recipes.

In general, I experimented. I made ice cream from 20% cream (I had to thicken it with a cream thickener, but even with them the cream whipped weakly, loosely) + skim condensed milk. Stirred yesterday almost until 1 am, left it overnight, tried it this afternoon. In general, there were almost no pieces of ice, but it froze so badly overnight that if I froze such ice cream in tins with a stick, it would turn out in consistency and hardness like hardened ice cream - the same dense, smooth and hard (yeah, I described it in such a way that I ask you not to misunderstand me).
In general, I liked it, however, there was one opinion that it was sweet. Despite this, after half an hour, the same "opinion" materialized in the kitchen asking if there was still some ice cream left?

girls help to figure it out bought an ice cream maker Infinity Cooling ICE 2010 twice already made ice cream does not freeze, I did not understand something wrong !!!

first recipe:
Milk Ice Cream Recipe
200 ml cream
450 ml milk
175 g sugar
A pinch of salt
Mix the ingredients thoroughly and place the mixture in the ice cream maker. did not freeze at all - it was prepared for 1 hour.

second recipe:
4 egg yolks
100 grams of sugar
300 ml milk
300 ml cream 20%
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
it froze only 2 cm, and at the bottom it was liquid, although everything was whipped very well, maybe instead of 20% cream, take 33% or homemade, maybe it affects ??? Help despair
lesik_l
If you have an old refrigerator, it is possible that the bowl does not freeze well or the temperature in the freezer is not set low enough. And the first recipe begs for some kind of thickener.
We took similar ones with the girls from our city, this only worked for me, and then the second one changed the refrigerator and also now with ice cream.

Girls! The ice cream maker Ariet 637 is on sale again.

Lika_n
NataliyI could be wrong, but in the first recipe, try on the contrary more cream, less milk.
When I made an ice cream from Anastasia - so if 200 plums + 100 milk = solidifies well, but once I made a second portion, and the cream (30%) was not enough, I added more milk, it was liquid.
when she took homemade cream (my mother does it, the spoon is worth it), there is more milk there, as it is sugary and can be used up for butter.

I myself also want the same! It allows you to make ice cream in any old Soviet refrigerator. You do not need to keep the bowl for 12 hours at -18. Ice cream can also be made at -8. Filled it, closed it, the power cord is pulled through the door seal, and the operating time will have to be selected experimentally.

Girls, please help with advice. I bought a Nemox 2200 ice maker and now I am suffering. It seems like I'm making ice cream according to a recipe, but it doesn't freeze in an ice cream maker - it's the same liquid. I put it in the freezer, there it freezes. I tried different recipes, even bought a mixture for ice cream (professional) - liquid. What to do? Maybe it's a marriage?
lesik_l
Most likely it's the temperature of the freezer. And the fact that it freezes does not mean that it will freeze in the bowl. The dishes should freeze well at temperatures below 20 degrees and at least a day.

You have a freezer for service
alex52860
I had to take an ice cream maker that shows the time and temperature, and so probably there is no refrigerant because it does not freeze.

I caught fire by buying an ice cream maker (I read you yesterday and almost choked with saliva).
In the meantime, I haven't decided yet (a hair separates from the final decision) I'm trying ice cream recipes without an ice cream maker.
I studied almost the entire topic.
First, a week ago, I cooked a banana in a blender, it turned out great, by the way, and the color is light yellow, like the pulp of a banana, there is not even a hint of an unpleasant look.
And today I was thinking, thinking ... And ... today I bungled ice cream in ... marinator
What? I put the mixture in an airtight jar, this jar in a marinator, ice there, as you recommend, salt, for the volume, more cold accumulators from a portable refrigerator and started to "marinate".
Ice cream was made from frozen strawberries + condensed cream + 20% cream + sugar. All by sight.
The mixture was originally like a thick cocktail. In the marinator, it thickens a little more. But the density was not enough. Density of ice. Not enough. If there was more ice, the jar would have been cooled from all sides, and so many voids would have formed.
I finished it off in the freezer.
In general, they ate only on the way. And not enough.
But, it's dreary. All the same, I want an ice cream maker under the tree.
Experienced people, advise what kind of beast is Montiss KIM5405M Ice cream Maker?
The average price is about 2,000 rubles.

I have already written many times in this top that the ice cream maker with a built-in freezer is excellent. It freezes everything, even though water That is, there will be no problems with liquid ice cream.
But maybe I was not lucky, my ice cream maker broke down almost immediately. Yes, it was so broken that it could not be repaired. And my husband and I have gone through so many troubles because of this that I don't want to remember. We waited for a replacement ice cream maker for several months. My husband immediately said, they say you want it, but I don't intend to take a steam bath anymore, and I'd rather buy you a new one.
At first we ran to the repair shop. We were floating there. Then they confessed that they could not repair it. They didn't call themselves, nothing. We went to them as to work. Then they sent a document stating that the ice cream maker could not be repaired to Moscow. They waited for answers, hell knows how much. In short, for about half a year I was sitting without an ice cream maker. And I don't really want to use a new one. I stood idle almost all the time. I'm waiting for the next desire to make ice cream
And what exactly broke there? I just have the same. Maybe you didn't turn it off when the mass thickened and it became difficult for it to twist?

We turn on the ice cream maker. We are waiting for 5 minutes. We touch the cup. It should be cold. If not, then to the service.
There, ice cream freezes on the sides of the cup, and the mixer removes it from the walls and mixes new and new layers. If the freezer does not freeze, then your ice cream will not freeze either)

Maybe you just turned on the mixer, but not the unit?
