Irish currant bread

Ingredients

premium wheat flour 550 gram
kefir 425 ml
butter 50 grams
eggs c-0 2 pieces
sugar 100g
salt 1 teaspoon under the knife
baking powder 1 sachet
any currant 100g

Cooking method

  • Mix flour with baking powder, salt and sugar. Add currants. I have a frozen mixture of red and black.
  • Beat eggs and mix with melted butter and warm kefir.

  • Lightly grease the form with vegetable oil.
  • Spoon the dough out. Flatten the top.
  • Put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about an hour + 5-10 minutes.
  • I put on a medium level on a baking sheet so that the bottom does not burn.
  • Willingness to test with a stick.
  • If the mold is silicone, then take it out immediately so that it does not get damp.

Yeah, and I didn't bake it to the end, a little bit at the very bottom. But not critical. There is no photo, because I took it to my mother. Half of them were humiliated for a sweet soul, if I had not said, no one would have noticed.
Next time you just need to take a bigger form. I have - 24 cm, but still the layer of dough needs to be done less.

Ikra, the shape must be at least 25 cm so that a not very thick layer is obtained.
The dough is dense, so it may not be baked a bit.
In general, I always put tall pies and muffins on a baking sheet if the baking time is more than an hour.

Podmosvichka, I went to my mother for lunch today. We cut this bread with her into thin slices and browned in a dry frying pan, like toast. Smeared on top with curd mass, and blue cheese. It went great!
