Lightly salted herring 2 pcs
Red onion 2 medium onions
Red pepper 1 piece
Yellow pepper 1 pc
Cherry tomatoes 8-10 pcs

Cooking method

To begin with, pickle thinly chopped onions. My onions are sweet and I don't scald them. If the onion is spicy, it should be poured with hot water for several minutes before pickling. Drain the water, sprinkle the onion with a tablespoon of sugar, sprinkle well with vinegar (wine, apple, table 9%), whichever you prefer, gently mash with your hand for a minute and set aside. I pickle with apple.
Peel the herring, remove the bones, cut the fillet across into narrow (up to a centimeter) strips. If the herring is salted, it is better to pre-soak the fillet in milk for several hours (depending on the degree of salinity).
Cut the pepper into 1 cm squares or into strips, halves the cherry. You can replace them with a regular tomato. Also chop the green onions (both parts) not very finely, leave a few feathers for sprinkling on top (you do not need to sprinkle).
Mix all the ingredients together, season with a couple of tablespoons of oil, sprinkle with green onions and dill on top (optional).
