Ingredients

Red Ribes 700 g

Strawberry 1 kg
Sugar 1.7 kg

Cooking method

  • 1. Peel the currant berries from the twigs and pour into a saucepan. Squeeze the lemons and pour the juice over the berries. Chop the peel of the lemon, fold it together with the seeds on a piece of gauze, make a bag out of it and dip it into the berry mass. Fill in 500 ml. water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low heat, cover the pot and cook the berries for 45 minutes until they are completely soft.
  • 2. Cut the strawberries in half. Remove the gauze bag from the pan and squeeze it out well so that the juice does not go to waste. Pour strawberries into a saucepan, bring the mixture to a boil again and cook for 5 minutes until the strawberries soften.
  • 3. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Now cook the mass over high heat until it becomes thick. Skim the jelly and fill the jars.
