usually we buy equipment from well-known brands, let's see how Orion will show itself.

And we are the same. We bought this HP a month ago, while I bake small buns according to the main recipe. Everything works out perfectly, only for 0.5 tsp. increased salt and 0.5 tsp. reduced the sugar in the basic bread recipe in the instructions. Now I am puzzled by the search for recipes on rye flour without sourdough and "Borodino bread". They write a lot of things on this forum, but I'm a little disappointed that there are no desired recipes in Temka for this HP brand (((I don't have a kitchen scale, which complicates matters. occasion.

But in general, some of the owners of Orion have already baked "Borodinsky bread", "Darnitsky" or others like them on rye flour, malt (without sourdough - on yeast)? It would be interesting to hear reviews and, if possible, recipes!
SoNya 68
Yes, I immediately began to bake rye bread in mine. Mine is practically the same Orion. I really like the recipe for Naroch bread - a very successful recipe. And Darnitsky from Fugasca. But I adjusted Narochansky for myself, super! But try the sourdough! It is useful for the ventricles. My husband has never eaten purchased rye, but now he only dies like that!
Joaquin
I have Orion-206 for three days now. I also chose it according to the principle "why pay more." The bread is baked well (white and wheat-oat), but the loaf has two sloping tops. : o I do not know what it is connected with. This does not affect the quality of the bread, it is a purely aesthetic problem.
SoNya 68
This is because when kneading, sometimes 2 koloboks are obtained. I, too, did it once, like a Soviet sled, a little too much flour. A drop of water (spoon or two) to soften the dough. Then two shoulder blades will not sculpt a bun for themselves when kneading.
Joaquin
Thank you very much for your reply. But I follow the kolobok - he is alone. For 650-670 g of flour I take 400 ml. water. Many or few?
Murzilka
SoNya 68, I just haven't figured out where to buy this leaven yet. Everything is still ahead!

Experienced bakers, tell me, pliz, good tried Easter cakes recipe for our stove. Yesterday I baked it according to a recipe tested in the Internet - nothing happened at all. For the first time in 1.5 months of active use, I had to throw out what should have been called a cake ... Nothing got mixed (perhaps because of butter, it was probably colder than needed ...); I added cold milk from the refrigerator (melted it), the dough did not fit absolutely.
SoNya 68
Murzilka do not worry, but remember. Maybe this is the difference between Panasonic. You try to pour only warm liquid, I always warm it up, it's just my style, I guess. And there were never any punctures. I pour liquid - whatever - pour yeast right into it - and then everything else. Flour is the last. In general, do not be afraid to lay down food as necessary (without a timer if). I used to have butter and even had to add sourdough during the kneading process, well, I forgot ... Do you have a recipe-Sweet? And don't knead the bun for the bun!
And with the recipes, don't bother at all, try the local ones and everything will be OK. And I needed the instruction only once in order to scan the program - it did not turn on immediately the second time, it was hot.
Sergey Rzhanoy
In Kiev, for several months I could not find Orion 206 (it was not, then it was expensive), yesterday I found it on the Internet through the Hotline for 410 hryvnia !!!
And I bought in the fall for 525! I ordered 3 pieces (Before that, I bought more than 10 pieces for employees, relatives and friends within six months)
I bake on Orion 206 every 2-3 days, but mostly rye with sourdough with hand kneading (I only bake in the oven).
Joaquin
SoNya 68, don't be upset. My first Easter cake also turned out so-so. Butter dough is heavy, you need more yeast. I don't use butter, but half with margarine. I melt everything, pour it into the water. Beat the eggs lightly. Baked according to this recipe (taken from the site, but modified): flour - 450-480 gr. (watch the bun, add 2-3 tablespoons, the dough should only stick a little), 125 gr. butter + melted margarine, water (milk or half with water) warm 125 gr., sugar - 90 gr., yeast - 2.5 scooped teaspoons, 0.5 tsp. salt, eggs 2 pcs. , 50 gr. raisins (wash, sprinkle according to the sound). If the dough spreads, add flour, but no more than 3-4 tablespoons. Good luck!
Gaby
Answer the owners of Orion bread machines, I want to buy a stove for my mother and I am interested in the question of whether the buckets are Teflon coated and in general any opinions will be of interest to me. Thank you in advance.
Joaquin
The bread maker, IMHO, is a simple thing. Therefore, all of them, including expensive branded ones, are all equally arranged. Why pay for a big name? Moreover, everything is made in China. Teflon coating in Orion. I bake the second month almost every day - nothing burns, does not stick. I shake it out very vigorously, it does not scratch. Feel free to take it! I'm glad.
Joaquin
Thank you Gabi! I forgot to write yesterday that in the bread maker, despite the presence of such a program, it is better not to cook jam. Fruit acid can spoil Teflon. Good luck!
Gaby
Thanks to Joaquin for the valuable information on Teflon. I didn’t know, I really didn’t plan to cook jam, but I will remember it anyway.
Gaby
I bought my mother HP Orion 206, tested it, I want to say that it bakes well, the crust turned out to be on top and not only on top, it is the same around the entire perimeter, in Delongy it is not possible to achieve such a crust from above, probably because there is a dispenser and heat losses are going on. But since childhood, I did not like the top crust on store bread, it always seemed to me bitter, so for me it is not critical and everything suits me. I want to say that Orion has a bad instruction - there is no table on modes and data on temperature conditions, but if, of course, you don’t bother about this, then everything is OK. And I also amused that the instructions say - in no case do not use compressed yeast.
Teen_tinka
Gaby, I'm also picking up a gift for my mother-in-law ... I compare Orion 204 and 205 ...
On the website, Lyudmila gave a decent description of your stove. Here are her notes:
"Bread maker Orion OBM-206 Lyudmila, 24 years old, 2009-04-17 16:34:26
Date of purchase: 2009-03-24

A month ago, my husband and I bought a long-awaited bread maker in this online store. I have long wanted this miracle of technology)
We looked at the instructions .... everything turned out to be much easier than it seems)))))
So, in order.
1. Package.
The bread maker itself
A bucket in which kneading takes place and bread is baked in it
Screw blades that knead the dough

The hook with which these blades are pulled out of the bread
Measuring cup 230 gr. water
A measuring spoon is a tea spoon on one side, a dining room on the other.

An instruction book, it contains the basic recipes for cooking in the oven.

2. Appearance.
I liked the design immediately! White, oval, pretty. Above there is a large observation window. But the grinder itself is big enough. The place takes up decently. But those that are smaller in size, they cost 2 times more. To begin with, we wanted to at least try what kind of animal-bread maker it is.

3. First experience.
We decided to immediately try the recipe from the Internet.
All the ingredients were poured into a bucket (do not forget to install the blades), turned on ... and nothing.

We thought it was faulty. Then they noticed that after 20 minutes the kneading began. We are already experienced and we know that the batch is just starting in 20 minutes))).

Kneaded perfectly, were in shock. So it would be difficult to knead with your hands).

Then time passed until the dough rose - the oven itself maintains the temperature so that the dough rises by yeast. Has risen as much as necessary!

Baking has started. The first time, of course, there was a slight smell of plastic (. Upset. Now, after a month of baking the bread, there is no foreign smell. Only bread)

We bake our loved ones now. Coffee bread for tea with raisins, potato bread, onion bread - just lovely!
4. Cleaning the bread maker.
Yes, you don't really need to clean it) It almost does not get dirty. After baking, fill the bucket with warm soapy water so that the remains of the bread near the attachment of the blades are soaked and lightly wipe with a washcloth. That's the whole cleaning). As easy as pie. CAUTION - you can not wash with strong abrasive agents, look, do not scratch the bucket, otherwise it will be like in Tefal pans)
5. Bread.
Breads are just lovely. My husband and I cannot be driven away from hot stuff. The fight is for a crisp) You can invent recipes yourself. Yes, there are enough of them on the Internet.
6. Modes.
1. Basic: kneading, raising and baking regular bread. You
you can also add ingredients to add a special flavor
baking. (3 hours 30 minutes)
2. Quick: knead, lift and bake a loaf of bread with
baking soda or baking powder. Bread baked in this
the program tends to be less dense and textured. (1 hour 58 minutes)
3.French: kneading, raising and baking bread with a large
time to raise the dough. Bread baked in this
the program is usually crispy and light
texture. (3 hours 50 minutes)
4. Rapid: kneading, lifting and baking bread in a few
steps. (1 hour 52 minutes)
5. Whole wheat: kneading, raising and baking bread
mainly from coarse flour (with bran). This
the program has a longer preheating time,
so that the cereals absorb water and swell. Not recommended
use the delay function to avoid baking bread
poor quality. (3 hours 40 minutes)
6. Cake: knead, lift and bake muffins. (2 hours)
7. Dough: kneading and raising the dough, but no baking. FROM
the resulting dough, you can make buns, pizza, bread on
a couple, etc. (1 hour 50 minutes)
8. Bake: bake only, no stirring or raising.
The program is also used to increase the baking time. (1 hour)
9. Jam: program for making homemade jams and jams. (1 hour 20 minutes)
10. Sandwich: kneading, raising and baking bread for
sandwiches. The bread is baked with a soft crust and perfect
suitable for sandwiches. (3 hours 20 minutes)

There is a delay start function
Using the timer, you can program how many hours you want the bread to be baked (up to 13). The appliance will automatically calculate the cooking time and turn on by itself.

Forgive me for a lot of info, it's just that very often they don't write this in the description, but they only find out when they open the instructions.
We tried the dough substitution mode - I did it for pizza, the cake recipe was not the best, but everything turned out great, different types of breads - all baked in the basic mode.
# Pros: Super oven, great bread, easy to use
# Cons: no display backlight ".... may come in handy ..
Gaby
Tinka hello buddy, thanks for the information, I'll write down the duration of the modes myself. At 204 there is a small and high bucket. I bought at 5 ok, they work from Foxtrot. In the foxtrot store, Orion 206 costs 650 gr, and at 5 it costs 428 UAH. The difference is still decent.
Teen_tinka
Hi Gabi, and at 206, as I understand it, the bucket looks like Moulinex ... long ....? I haven't come across in the store yet, I can only judge by the pictures ...
Apolinaria
I also bought my mother Orion 204 for a gift, for her one just fits with a small bucket.
Of course, I tested the stove myself. The bread in it turns out to be good, no worse than the one that I bake in Panasonic.
I especially liked baking sweet bread in Orion, it comes out even better than in my Panas.
The only thing I didn't like was that the stirrer was very difficult to remove, even immediately pouring water into the bucket.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Gaby
Apolinaria, in model 206, I also encountered this. The last time I lubricated these pins, in front of the stirrer attachment, with vegetable oil. I read it somewhere here.
tinka, but the bucket is long, at the bottom the corners are beveled, cut off, for the best kneading there is no flour in the corners. By the way, two mixers formed a kolobok much faster - which I was pleasantly surprised.
Tinka go to the online store 5 ok, there were 204 and 206 models, 5 ok, it is also in Kiev. Or maybe you found it even cheaper?

🔗
Teen_tink
Found a little cheaper in Kiev:
416 UAH
and 🔗 397 UAH .. both are still available.
SoNya 68
Such a bucket with 2 mixers stands very firmly in the HP. It kneads perfectly, although the bread needs to be shaken out very intensively, well, that's where to go!
Oleksandra
Yesterday I bought Orion 206 and was upset. Tell me, what recipe for bread weight to choose on those baking programs where there is no weight adjustment of 900 or 1250 grams?
Teen_tink
Oleksandra, in my experience, Panaska also has programs where the weight is not indicated - boldly choose first a smaller loaf, and then a larger one ...
Oh ... but I was still ripe for a gift ... they are already gone ... we had to give another thing ... and we will wait for this one ... and we will give it in the fall ...

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here, here I am choosing hb. Rather chose but can not find Orion in St. Petersburg. Can you tell me where you can order or buy it in St. Petersburg?

Tell me about Orion 205. If I hoach 500 gram bread I can make it on the "own program" function, do I understand correctly?
Adyull
Hello everyone. Here everyone is discussing HP from Orion, but for some reason the ORION OBM-27G bread maker was not mentioned by anyone. Is it noveting or just very bad? it is just the cheapest, but according to the characteristics it is quite normal. Here I found a description: What is "wrong" with her? How is it worse than the same 205th or 206th?

Gaby
Adyull I think it is no worse than other stoves, it's just NEW. When I was choosing a stove for my mother six months ago, I have not seen this one and now I saw it for the first time.
Adyull
I really hope that the novelty from Orion is not worse than the previous ones. For today I bought it !!! Will try it out on the weekend. Now stands at work. I will study the instructions. Well, in theory, it is necessary to somehow wash it from the factory odors? (A friend who recently bought a similar model says that the first bread had an unpleasant smell) Any grease on the heating elements must fade away. Probably you need to turn it on at idle. I hope the instructions say something about it. I will dare !!!

Please tell us about your impressions.
It seems that this model has a "macaroni" program - did you use it? How noisy is it?
Is there a programming option?
What else can be noted as + and -?
SoNya 68
Many stoves have this program. I call it Pasta. The dough is simply kneaded for 14 minutes unleavened.
Adyull
We tested it. At night. Under cover of darkness. For in the morning they wanted to surprise and delight the birthday boy with a surprise. Surprised and pleased! Succeeded!
Now directly about the stove. So far, only 1 kg of bread was baked a couple of times according to the recipe that came with Orion (not in the instructions, but in a separate booklet - like a bonus). The bread is delicious. True small in size. Despite the fact that it weighs 1 kg, its size is slightly less than the store one, which weighs 500 grams. It was confusing at first. They thought that for some reason they did not get up. But after trying it, they decided that this was not the main thing. HE IS DELICIOUS !!! And soft !!! And it is stored for a long time, and not like a store one - after a couple of days, either mold or bad taste is rough, non-nutritious. We are glad. Those who tried to dissuade us from buying a stove are disgraced !!!
Let's further understand, read baking tips. try other programs (dough is especially interesting, because we love to make pizza and before that we bought ready-made in the store). So there are no downsides yet. Maybe only about the noise ..... They asked if it was noisy. ... How to say. First, you need to hear the noise level from other stoves. And so - in the morning, when the oven began to stir the dough, I woke up and heard her. That is, maybe noisy. But maybe it’s me so lightly sleeping, plus I was worried about the surprise. So even if it is noisier than expensive analogs, we don't care. For the main thing is the result !!!!!!!!
Gaby
Adyull, you see how you did it all right, congratulations on your first homemade bread. You read the recipes on the site and be sure to follow the kolobok and everything will work out for you. Regarding the noise of the stove - the stove works, kneads, there will be no other way. I have experience with two stoves and of course both are slightly noisy. This is the same device that works, the same as a washing machine, for example. Happy bread to you! The main thing is that the surprise was a success.

And about bread, if you want to figure it out, describe the recipe itself, how much of which you put in and what other yeast you used, then that the bread rose so little can speak of several reasons, and one of them is whether you used good yeast?
gella
Greetings to all! For her birthday she made herself a gift and became the owner of the Orion OBM-24 W.
Accept the newbie
I haven’t tested it yet, I don’t know how to approach it, from which side
Teen_tink
and so I bought a gift. I'm testing a 206 model. I won't say that plastic is much worse than my Panaska. Indeed, the instructions say about the first idle start for 10 minutes (it is obvious to burn out the lubricant). 2 shoulder blades twist the bun cool, only 2 bumps on the bread come out. For some reason, after an hour of operation ... just as the agitators finished their first spinning cycle, a 12-time beep was heard. Who knows why?
The cycle went on ... the window fogged up, it's hard to see ...
A cunning indicator, God forbid, close the sun, or a lamp with your back - you can't see anything on the screen.
The recipe is almost by sight ... everything is in cups and spoons ... or maybe I'm just used to grams?
What I didn't like: the uncomfortable handles of the bucket .... slide down, it's hard to take them in a mitten. The bucket is hard to install. The bucket is very light, again in comparison with Panaska. Misted window. Weak instruction (mother-in-law, an elderly woman can be hard). Not a very long power cord (although this can be attributed to both advantages and disadvantages).
What suited: normal appearance, normal plastic. Programs are standard.
By the way, about the glass - the measurements on it are double (both metric and imperial systems), there is a hook for pulling out the shoulder blades.
The first bread, in principle, arranged. But, it differs in porosity from Panaskin.
Gaby
Tina, congratulations on your purchase, I wish you to serve faithfully for a long, long time!
In what mode did you test the oven? I didn't know about 10 minutes for the first launch and did not do it. Two spatulas knead the dough very well, compared to my oven, where one spatula. But there were never two bumps on the finished bread. Since I used to track the bun with my stove, in Orion, if you measure how much flour was consumed during tracking, then you can lay the food and safely leave it unattended - it will knead well and bake itself. I noticed that program 1 Basic bakes bread better than in the French mode - the bread is equally fried around the entire perimeter, which is not in my oven. I also noticed that with the help of 2 scoops, you can knead a tighter dough and the bread will not be loose, but plump like in a store.
I can't say anything about the 12-fold signal, but the oven at the end of the batch beeps several times in order to add additives to the dough (raisins, for example).
As for the recipe - so I measured in cups how much the recipe for Romy bread will be - I only bake it in HP and my mom is satisfied with this one recipe.buy a mother-in-law then let the scales weigh on the scales, but this is such a convention if the bun is tracked.
The handles of the bucket are really uncomfortable for me, but we got used to using a towel to get the bucket.
Tinka instruction is bad, so I did not bake a single bread according to my instructions, only from the site and be sure to follow the bun. The power cord is really short, but mine is not much longer either. There is a hook, indeed, which is convenient to take out the stirrers - mine does not have one, and if I bake bread in my oven and I have the stirrer left in the oven, then I have a holiday - I won't have to get it out with my bare fingers. And bread from different ovens according to the same recipe, it really tastes differently.
ValeryVP
Hello everyone! So we became the owners of the Orion OBM-24 W bread machine. We have been mastering it for a week, but so far the results are unimportant: the bread on top looks pale even if you expose a "dark" crust; the cupcake did not work out for the second time - the first time it did not rise at all, and the second time it was light again and immediately "went down" when it was pulled out of the bucket (recipes are different). There are two options for such a misunderstanding: 1. "crooked hands", but this is fixable in the process; 2. Maybe the lid is leaking air, then this is a defect in the goods and you need to urgently return it to the store.
Alim
Valery VP, all x \ stoves have a lighter upper crust, and at best they are the same in color with the sides because most stoves do not have a top heating element, read the forum and see for yourself.
The cover must allow air to pass through, as it is in the design. The air vent is specially made for this.
In order not to be offended by "crooked hands", read the topics for beginners, https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=1500.0 and especially about the kolobok and everything will turn out great
And the recipes are best taken on the forum, here they are tested by many people. If something does not work out, ask questions in the topic of the recipe, they will always help you.
Teen_tink
Gaby, I beg your pardon .... I just noticed your post .... "I am a crow ..."
I will test the stove for another week .... in principle, everything was fine .... though out of habit, bread "DLIIIIIIINnym" seems to be. Today I tried to knead the standard recipe in the oven, and baked it in the oven - the "Chamomile" form from the Dnieper industry .... the bread tasted completely different !!!! Tastier ... softer ... or maybe again out of habit (the oven almost always gives me a crispy crust).
The oven rumbles harder than Panaski - it's not scary ... the kitchen is far away, I can't hear ... For some reason, he continues to squeak twice with a 12-fold squeak .... once at the beginning ... and after the end of the program .... again, it does not affect the baking ... I always cover the viewing window with foil.
Didn't try the "jam" and "bran bread" modes. Obviously, the first of them and I will not try ... jam ... reluctance ... sort of like the season of harvesting has passed.
Until I tried to bake rye (50/50) on the standard. Mustard went very well, regular with grated apple is ok too. The mixed type of Darnitsky came out a little ugly.
In general, the stove justifies the price - cheap and normal. She can knead the dough by 1.25 kg - which will be good for the mother-in-law - she dabbles in pies.
Gaby
Tina, yes, the bread is long compared to the bread from my oven, but it is similar in width to bread from the store. It's strange that you have such loud squeaking, I then thought that I would not set the timer for the night, but she kneads the class. I baked Darnitsky from V_V_SU on 1 program, okay. Again, I emphasize that according to my observations, 1 program bakes better than the French one. As for the foil, I'm surprised - why? I already wrote that on program 1 the bread crust is the same, that on the sides, that on top, along the entire perimeter.
ValeryVP
Quote: ValeryVP

the bread on top has a pale appearance even if you expose the "dark" crust
I have already defeated this problem: I cover the viewing window and the container with a towel ...
Teen_tink
foil is a habit from Tefali .... for the uniformity of the crust color ... it is certainly not white at all, but sometimes you want it darker.

Hello everyone! So we became the owners of the Orion OBM-24 W.

Hello everyone, oh, I also want to write that I am the owner of ORION OBM-24W. Today we have just ordered HP, and I already want to wake up from freshly baked bread - some kind of guard. Yesterday I read the forums until half a night and decided on the purchase. I stopped for a set of experience on this model, it even with a dispenser and for only $ 69. Tomorrow I will report on the first baked goods. Thanks to the site and everyone for so much information, I hope I will contribute too.
Teen_tink
my test oven has already left, and is successfully working with my relatives ... now the question is for the Ukrainians - they scratched the blade with a knife, not noticing that it remained in the bread ... where can you find these dough mixers for Orion 206?
NIZA
Greetings to all ! Dear Orion owners, I bought and tested the 205 model for my sister, I was pleasantly surprised that it has a delay start function for the test, I downloaded everything and Be healthy, early in the morning or in the evening after work - the dough is ready, it’s worth waiting for you, lepi-peki that hosh, but the 205th model is missing something, and in others there is such a function? Tell me please
ValeryVP
Orion OBM-24 W. The only thing I don't like about her is that she opens the dispenser container too loudly. And on the functional of questions, everything is fine
Teen_tink
I tested Orion 206, the dough delaying program was ... I set a delayed start for 2 hours. But 205 is better with a programmable baking option. Although in Ukraine I cannot find it in stock ..

Orion OBM-204 also has a delayed start function, though I never used it, because I use fresh yeast.
