Ingredients

Medium sized eggplants 3 pcs.
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Bulgarian pepper, medium size 0.5-1 pcs.
Dense tomatoes 3 -4 pcs.
Mayonnaise 2-3 st. l.
Grated cheese (I have cheddar with parmesan) taste
Hops-suneli or favorite seasonings 2-3 pinches
Freshly ground black pepper taste
Whole garlic cloves taste

Cooking method

  • This option is a warm appetizer, along with a similar preparation pumpkin, is in great demand at our home.
  • Saute is also served on the table in the form in which it is baked. And the same preparation can be done in the evening. That is why this recipe is good for us, that the preparation can be baked in the oven right before serving, only sprinkled with grated cheese, and put on the table warm. What could be tastier and more aromatic than baked cheese, and underneath it are soft pieces of slightly fried eggplant with tomatoes, onions and peppers. Sometimes I add thin slices of dry-cured bacon before baking, stack them fragmentarily and quite a bit, solely to enhance the flavor.
  • Preparation
  • - Wash the eggplants, cut them in pieces along the skin with a vegetable peeler and cut into large cubes. Shake off excess seeds.
