Fresh raspberries 125 g
Dark brown sugar (I used light) 3 tbsp. spoons
Flour premium 125 g
Sugar 5 tbsp. spoons
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Soda 1/4 teaspoon
Salt pinch
Sour cream 125 g
Melted butter in the microwave 30 g
Vanilla sugar 1 tsp
Egg 1 PC

Cooking method

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (convection 160 degrees)
  • 2. Prepare a cake pan (I have a removable bottom) with a diameter of 20 cm - down a circle of baking paper, grease the sides
  • 3. Carefully mix raspberries with sugar (do not crush), set aside.
  • 4. In a bowl, mix dry ingredients - flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, vanillin
  • 5. In another bowl "wet" ingredients - sour cream (I used half sour cream and half yogurt), melted butter, egg - mix with a whisk DO NOT BEAT WITH A MIXER !!!
  • 6. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stir first with a whisk, then with a spatula.
  • 7. Put half of the mixture into a mold, level, carefully lay out the raspberries, put on top of the other half of the mixture
  • 8. Scatter almond petals
  • 9. Bake 30-40 minutes until tender in the middle of the oven. We check with a toothpick, it should come out clean
  • 10. Cool for 5-10 minutes in the form, put on a dish, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • It goes well as a stand-alone dessert, as well as with ice cream or vanilla custard (castard in English)

A very simple recipe, caught on the site allrecipes.co.uk. The main thing is not to use a mixer and not to interrupt the mixture. The child will do a great job of making this cake.

Lyudmila, good evening! I think you can, but add a little less, since brown sugar is less sweet in my opinion. And then see for yourself how sweet you are. I don't like a lot of sugar. I even had a little sugar left in the plate, after I laid out the raspberries, I did not add it on top of the raspberries.

Be sure to carefully roll the raspberries in sugar, if they give juice, there will be porridge, but maybe someone will like it so much, my berries are intact, they have not spread. To be honest, I baked it for the first time, but I liked it so much that I rushed to the bread maker to draw up the recipe!

Sveta, vanillin is just vanilla powder. Vanilla sugar is a mixture of vanillin powder and sugar. I only buy vanillin. It's more comfortable for me. I have 1 and 1.5 grams of vanilla bags. I pour one packet into any baked goods where it is in the recipe. And I never bought pods.
