Crispy cheese biscuits

Ingredients

Butter or margarine 200 gr. (cold)
Sour cream 300 gr.
Flour 3-4 cups (250 ml)
Soda 1 tsp
Eggs 2 pcs.
Salt 2 tsp
Caraway 2 tbsp. l.
Poppy 5 tbsp. l.
Cheese 200 g

Cooking method

  • I often bake these cookies in an electric waffle iron. It goes well with broth, and just crunch. It goes well with caviar, red fish, salted curd paste, etc. Cookies are well kept and do not damp.
  • Grate cheese and margarine on a coarse grater. Knead the dough of all the ingredients, (do not knead too much) pieces of margarine and cheese should be visible.
  • Form small balls from the finished dough, the size of half a walnut. Bake in an electric waffle iron (for thin waffles), 3 pieces at a time, until golden brown.

Note

If you want a richer taste, add 4 tbsp. flour. If more cheesy - 3 tbsp.
These cookies are always obtained, even if the ingredients are "by eye".
You can put less salt.
You can not put salt and caraway seeds at all, but put sugar.
I often add other small seeds (for example, flax and fennel seeds), or paprika.
An interesting taste is obtained if you use blue cheese. But this, you know, is already an amateur.
