Once on fresh basil, yeast did not go to me. For myself, I decided that dry ferments are better and the yeast is more aromatic. But in the end, there are so few of them in the recipe that the whole spirit dissolves in 3 liters of water.
You can try to put the yeast on fresh, but I would advise you to put liquid yeast on fruits / dried fruits, they are the fastest, active and stable ones, and mash fresh basil properly and add it to kvass. I got better yeast on sweet fruits (apples, pears and dry and such, dried apricots, physalis), except for bananas and dates.

About berries in my recipe: if you don't have something, it's okay, here you can experiment as your heart desires. The main thing is to try not to add ingredients with a strong smell, so as not to kill the smell of basil.

Yes, you can easily put this kvass on fruit yeast! And on bread crusts, it is only better to put them smaller so that the bread spirit does not interrupt the smell of basil.
