Cooking method

  • Make a dough: mix yeast with flour and dilute in warm milk.
  • Put in a warm place for 15 minutes.
  • Add sugar, salt, dough, egg and butter to the sifted flour and knead the dough. It should be soft and not stick to your hands.
  • Place the dough in a warm place for 1 hour. I had 30 minutes in St. "STEBA".
  • While the dough is coming up, prepare the fillings.
  • Nut:
  • Stir milk, sugar and cinnamon and bring to a boil, add chopped nuts.
  • When cool, add whipped egg white and stir.
  • Poppy filling:
  • Bring milk, sugar and cinnamon to a boil.
  • Add poppy seeds, stir and bring to a boil again.
  • Stir the yolk and pour gently while stirring.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cut well-fitting dough into 2 parts.
  • Roll one out in the form of a rectangle and put the nut filling on it.

Masha, Natasha, thank you! I made this braid a long time ago. I took the recipe in a German magazine. And then I remembered about him.

That's so beautiful! Is it really not a pity to eat later? It is necessary to go to the museum, under glass and admire ...
