Idaho potatoes in the Steba DD2 multicooker pressure cooker (gala10)

Multicooker-pressure cooker-slow cooker Steba DD2 / DD2 XL

Thank you, I have already tried this many times, I would like to try to bake it whole, but I could not find any recipes

Cleaning with a fine abrasive such as Sif or Pemolux should help.

Seth has a wonderful gel! If you rub with a powder, there will probably be micro-scratches, and then it will get worse and worse ...
Kuchlady
Girls, thanks for the advice! I'll definitely try sif gel, I'll buy it today. I also thought about boiling with vinegar, but I was afraid that it would turn blue even more, for some reason I decided that it was from the acidic environment that the color changed. It's still strange, because stainless steel is a fairly reliable metal for pots, maybe their alloy is slightly different, obviously not 10/18. In general, the multicooker is excellent, why I didn't pay attention to it before - I don't know. Today I cooked lean borscht in it, it turned out so quickly, I think that the time can be set less. The only thing - it heated up for a long time before starting work according to a given program. Also interesting - are they all like that? Or are there also errors in the heating rate? Now I'm studying the site, thinking about what else to cook.

You probably poured cold water when you cooked borscht? In me, too, in this case, it heats up for a long time before the start of the program, especially a full cup.
If there is a little liquid or if we fill it with hot water, then the pressure is quickly gained, in about 5 minutes.
Alex_Fil
I didn't measure it on purpose, but if the bowl is full, three liters of water at room temperature, then it takes half an hour before the pressure is set, or even more ...
Kuchlady
Water was poured from a kettle, not boiling water, but hot, a lot - three liters. Warmed up about forty minutes before the countdown. Now I poured borscht, found a sif, rubbed it for a long time, then applied some liquid for stainless steel (I sometimes clean her Zepter). After washing, as usual, everything inside is blue-blue, even with some stains, as if engine oil spilled in the water. Maybe the bowl is defective. Or did the previous owners burn it down?
lana light
In-in, with a full bowl, it also heats up for about 30 minutes, or even a little more

Kuchlady, can I buy you a new cup? Moreover, not everything can be cooked in stainless steel. It is better to fry and bake in a teflon-coated bowl, otherwise the bottom in a stainless steel gets very hot and everything will burn ...
Now, for example, there is a small discount on Ozone for such a bowl, it costs 1258 rubles, it is called "Steba bowl for a DD 1 ECO multicooker". It is suitable for DD1 and for DD2.

It is very strange...
I have a bowl, like a new one, I have been using Shteba since 2013, maybe then those first batches were made better than now, when the brand is promoted?
Kuchlady
I already bought it, they brought it today. Exactly the one for 1200 with a Teflon tail. But I would also like to have a normal bowl. I am sensitive to environmental issues, why not cook some dishes in an eco-friendly bowl. Although this word does not seem to fit mine.Maybe someone knows - where can you find a stainless steel bowl? I searched the sites today - nowhere. I also examined the inner surface with a magnifying glass - there are some places where the top layer seems to have come off (pointwise, mainly along the inner recess), so the cog appears through the red in places - it looks like rust. It always seemed to me that the word "stainless steel" - from the words "does not rust". The question arose - what are these bowls made of?

It's hard to say, my relatives bought this device for a long time. So the bowl is just from old stocks. I read somewhere in the reviews or on the forum that the people who bought the 2nd Shteba immediately peeled off the bowl and covered with rust. At the same time, they cannot be made of different materials. It's just that someone handles less carefully, as a result, such consequences

I found about cleaning stainless dishes at Winzer

Stainless steel cookware, like any other material, requires some maintenance. There are some guidelines to help you extend the life of your stainless steel cookware.

If you need to remove any sticker or label from the surface of the product - moisten it with warm water and remove the sticker with a plastic object. And the glue from the surface can be removed with citrus juice or detergent.

All modern professional stainless steel cookware is treated with a special insulating compound, so cookware must be depressurized.
For this, it is recommended to wash dishes made of high quality stainless steel in very hot water with liquid detergent before first use. Apply the detergent for 3-5 minutes and wash off using gloves. Walk especially carefully in hard-to-reach places, in places where the product bends, in particular, under the product lid.
If, after the first use, small streaks or stains have formed on the surface of the product, do not worry, treat the surface again with a solution of citric acid or vinegar.

In the future, stainless steel dishes can be washed in the dishwasher.
Stainless steel cookware can be cleaned with a wire brush and any liquid abrasive products.

In use, the diameter of the bottom of the pan must match the diameter of the hotplate.
Do not pour very hot or very cold water into the pot at once, warm the dishes first with warm water. Do not place a hot saucepan fresh from the fire on a cold, wet base.
When using stainless steel cookware when cooking, do not throw salt into cold water, only into boiling water.

If, nevertheless, you threw salt into cold water and you have white spots on the bottom of the pan, do not worry, everything is fixable and the dishes will delight you for many years to come. A solution of vinegar with water -1/1 will help you. Take a tablespoon of a regular bite, add a tablespoon of water and pour the mixture into the bottom of a saucepan. The spots will disappear before our eyes!

Dark deposits on the sides of the pan can be removed with a sponge dipped in vinegar.
If stainless steel spoons, forks and knives have darkened, hold them for 10 minutes or even boil in the broth left after boiling the potatoes, then wipe them dry.

You can also clean darkened cutlery with lemon juice or citric acid solution.
1 teaspoon of citric acid will help remove limescale in a stainless steel kettle. After boiling water in a kettle with citric acid, drain everything, boil again without citric acid, drain. Can also be made with 1 teaspoon of baking soda or 1 tablespoon of vinegar essence.

A darkened coffee pot, teapot can be cleaned by boiling water with a slice of lemon in it.
If you want to conserve dishes, do not use detergents containing ammonia or chlorine.

If you forgot empty dishes on fire and, accordingly, overheated the surface, rainbow stains or darkening of the surface may appear. Pour a solution of hot water and detergent into a burnt dish, let it stand and then remove everything with a sponge.

To avoid lime deposits on the surface of the dishes, wipe the dishes dry after each wash. Try to remove the dishes from the dishwasher as soon as possible and wipe them dry, as water condensation may form. The droplets will evaporate - specks will remain from the water.

You have light brown or golden spots on the surface of stainless steel cookware - this is not a marriage or defect. Be aware that you are simply overheating your favorite dishes, use moderate temperatures during operation. Since the bottom of the pan is thermally accumulating, all boiling and cooking processes take place very quickly, so take precautions and save your time in the kitchen. If discoloration is possible, try cleaning the surface with any liquid detergent or citric acid solution.

Mustard is a universal assistant in the kitchen of our grandmothers for taking care of the oily surface of dishes. If you are very fond of cleaning dishes with mustard, try never to dilute the mustard with very hot water, since as a result essential oils are formed, which, when in contact with water, will be more caustic the higher the temperature. In this regard, for stainless steel dishes, mustard is not the most suitable option for every day as a cleaning agent.

Using these simple tips, you can enjoy cooking in stainless steel cookware for a long time.

Tell me, if auto-heating after the end of the program cannot be completely turned off, can it at least be reconfigured from 70 degrees to 30?

Auto-heating can be controlled only in the new versions of DD2 XL (6 liters), where the user sets the temperature and duration of the auto-heating (from 30 to 80 degrees and from 1 minute to 24 hours). In other models, unfortunately, auto-heating lasts 4 hours at a temperature of 70 degrees and it cannot be changed or reconfigured. Only manually turn off the auto heating after the end of the main program, and then turn on the Heating mode with new, your own settings.

I also had a problem with a stainless steel bowl before, all in divorces, I thought marriage. But either I spoiled it with the wrong cooking, or our water is like that. Somehow a friend advised a remedy, it costs 50 rubles in Magnet, I think there are many other places for sale. It is easy to apply it in a thick layer, do not foam, but pour it well and leave it for 30 minutes. ALL stains, grease, carbon deposits are washed off once or twice. If a very old frying pan is acceptable, you can repeat it. Now my shtebkin's bowl and lid shimmer with all the pans on the steam, the medium is not as caustic as it rustles and costs a penny. Maybe it will help someone ... Oh, yes, I also washed the bread maker from the inside from soot

Jenealis, Zhen, but how is it washed off? I got interested in the bread maker. I once sprinkled it with a spray from soot. Painfully sprays for the nose-eyes are not a fountain ...
Jenealis
Marina, washed off with some water, just wipe persistently. The product looks like a gel, it is very soapy, it is better to wear gloves. I smeared the bread maker, and after 30 minutes I wiped it with a damp microfiber, where it passed with a brush ... I just washed the lid of the stem under water properly. It simply dissolves fat and carbon deposits.
Deana
Linadoc, I made pilaf with bulgur according to your recipe, very tasty, but you need a hint - salted, as indicated - the meat on top, as a result, the meat is almost not salty - did I put in a little salt, or when the water was poured all the salt washed inside and there was no meat left on the meat? Maybe there are some tricks in pouring water, or just put more salt? I liked the recipe, I will do more.
Something only the temperature on Zharka took a long time, everything had already begun to dry out, but it had not yet peaked. I don’t know if the voltage in the network was walking. Then, as it was already accumulated, everything went according to plan.

So how much salt I put in, so much was distributed over the whole pilaf. Stir well after cooking so that everything is evenly distributed. So there was not enough salt. It's good though. I also put a little "white death", so no one has hypertension.

Jenealisthanks for the hint! I really want to clean my bread maker inside. Tomorrow I'll go through everyday life. chemistry, maybe I'll find this "Shine".

Linadoc, so I thought that there is not enough salt, it is not customary to salt it like that, only from above, I have not adapted myself yet, it seemed a lot I will know now. And I liked the combination very much and the bulrug was so steamed, wow, delicious!

Of course, I'm going to compare myself, but I can't eat so many potatoes at a time, and if one day one day, I forget the other, that's why I torture you

Try to do it, most likely on stewed, but baked will not work, unless you put a Teflon bowl.

The question arose - what are these bowls made of?

And I actively use a steel bowl for fruit drinks, the main plus is that you can walk in it with a blender, a completely different taste of fruit drinks and is convenient. For the first time I tried to grind fruit drink from frozen apples and sea buckthorn, then into a jug through a large sieve, and only sea buckthorn bones remain at the bottom of the bowl. The beauty.
Girls, share your experience, who uses a blender !? Is the bowl damaged?

Girls, I ask for your help!
For three days now I have been the proud owner of Steba DD2. Already cooked rice for a side dish and tried to cook boiled pork. Before that, I cooked in a Brand 502 multicooker. There I rubbed the meat with spices and set it to cook on the "baking" mode for 1-1.5 hours (more often with a delay). And then I was confused. I looked at the list of recipes and almost everywhere they first fry, and then stew or simmer. Is it possible to cook with a delay and to bake the meat? What mode and time to choose?

I will say more - I wrote to the Headquarters in Germany, asking if DD2 XL will appear in Europe. They answered me - definitely not. I had to drag from home
Deana
So I did a comparison of Idaho potatoes in Shteba and Kuz. Not entirely accurate, because in Kuza, spices are usually a little different, but I caught the principle.
In Kuza, it turns out more like fries, crisp and soft on the inside. But that variant of spices that is indicated in the recipe is lost, apparently due to the heat. Dill is practically not felt.

Multicooker-pressure cooker-slow cooker Steba DD2 / DD2 XL

In Shteba, the crust is much smaller, the potatoes themselves are softer and the spice variant indicated in the recipe works very well.

Multicooker-pressure cooker-slow cooker Steba DD2 / DD2 XL

I was convinced that due to the cooking method, two completely different dishes are obtained. For reporting - in Kuza got ready faster. But in Shtebe I was guided by the recipe and, if it says 30 minutes, I kept it for 30 minutes. Maybe he was ready before.

PySy. And skeptics also say that everything can be cooked on the stove and there is no need to buy appliances. Reality refutes them!

Yesterday I handed over my Shteba 6 liters back with a courier to Ozone. I wanted to exchange it for a normal one, but they brought the same one, with a gap on the left side. She refused the exchange and decided to take the money. Within 3 days they said that they would resolve the issue with a refund. I have 2 more pressure cookers for 6 liters - Land Life and Vitesse with smoking function and there were no problems with them. Although no, after 5 years of intensive work, Land Life's black valve stopped holding pressure. But this problem was quickly resolved, although this valve was not in the workshops in Moscow, but it was quickly sent from the Lipetsk plant, by the way, there are small silicone rings that many lose. In the meantime, a parcel was sent to me by mail, I removed this valve from Vitesse, they are the same (even bowls). After reading on the forum about Shteba, I bought a stock on Ozone, especially since the bowls are the same as my pressure cookers. At first I did not pay attention to the skew of the lid, but it turned out that in vain. While I tried various recipes in modes - for a couple and as a slow cooker, everything was fine. But then I decided to make cabbage soup, and here Shteba's joint came out. Firstly, the pressure was accumulated for a very long time - about 50 minutes, and during this process there was a whistle, periodically there was steam, so that on the left side everything was in vapors. After the pressure was somehow reached, the soup was cooked for another 30 minutes with occasional steaming. In this way, the cabbage soup was cooked for 80 minutes, although in a normal multi, the cabbage soup is cooked for 60 minutes. I saw this work of a pressure cooker for the first time, so I immediately agreed with Ozone about an exchange. But they brought the same joint, and I didn't want to experiment a second time. So Shteba is not my device.
Here's another addition. The girls wrote that the heating in 6 liter can be set by yourself - the right temperature and the right time. So, what I noticed is that there is a cant. I cooked buckwheat, pre-set heating for 15 minutes at 50 degrees. And the most interesting thing is that after 15 minutes of heating, it itself then switched to standard heating, that is, 70 degrees for 4 hours. So my conclusion is that the 6 liter Shteba has not yet been completed to mind.
Thank you bonuses can be used on Ozone, but only with prepayment. And bonuses from MTS can be used when placing an order not only for prepayment. You just need to go to your MTS personal account, to the partners section (Ozone) and order a bonus of 300 rubles for Ozone, and they will write off you only 150 MTS points. You will receive a code on your phone, which you will put in a line - a code word or a discount, and when placing an order, your amount will be reduced by 300 rubles.
Masha Ivanova
Marpl, Marina! It is a pity that Shteba did not suit you! Excellent cartoon. Maybe you were in a hurry without testing the second one. But this, of course, is up to you.And the gap for all of them is the norm, it does not interfere with work in any way, such a design.
And I have another question for you. What, a new version of Shteba is already on sale at Ozone, with heating turned off? Once I called them and asked about it, they answered that they only had the old version of 2014. And the new version began to be released in 2015. Therefore, I was surprised at your words. I'll wait for your answer and call them again. I still have an old version, I bought it either six months ago, or a little more, I don't remember exactly.
Marpl
Elena, I don't know what version I had, but there was a printed sheet in the booklet, where it was indicated how to set the heating after cooking - select the cooking mode, then set the heating temperature and time, and then press the start button. According to normal, the following should be - the cooking program has ended - then the required heating time goes on, and then there should be no heating, the device should turn off. But he sets 70 degrees and heats up for 4 hours. Complete nonsense. The program is not finished, or so the Chinese programmers cheated. And in general, this is the second thing from Shteba - the first mini oven. So everything in it is also not very even - the regulators are not located in the center, but shifted to the left. But there is no pressure and this is only an aesthetic flaw, but there is pressure in the cartoon and you do not want to conduct experiments, the consequences can be different. Here is an example from my life. I have been using pressure cookers for a very long time, about 35 years. I have 3 and 6 liters. However, earlier they were not electric, but those for a gas stove. And while there was a gas stove no excesses happened. But when we moved to a new apartment with an electric stove, after one incident I no longer used them. On gas, the heating control is fast, the gas is reduced and the heating is slower, and on the electric stove, even after switching to lower heating, the pancakes are still heated at high power. As a result, in my new, just renovated kitchen, in a pressure cooker, a valve flies out of pressure and a fountain of meat broth with onions and carrots hits the snow-white ceiling like a powerful fountain (I stewed meat with onions with carrots). It's good that the whitewash was excellent German, everything was washed without consequences, but after this incident, I did not use these pressure cookers. Then there were electric pressure cookers and I very carefully chose the one with the best protection against such cases. And the first pressure cooker I bought was Land Life, which has as many as 10 degrees of protection. Yes, it doesn't have a fashionable all-in-one screen now, but it contains all the programs I need, and at what temperature everything is prepared there, I'm not interested, the result is important to me. And that's why it was strange to me that such an advertised Shteba, whom many admire, is so lopsided and raw in terms of programs.
Masha Ivanova
Marpl, Marina! Thank you very much for the information about Shteba. And I really wanted to order a second six-liter for myself, an improved one (I have one 5-liter and one 6-liter). So we have to wait for now and ask the girls, who also have the latest version of Shteba, how their multi behave. In fact, the whole thrill was assumed that after the heating set by the hostess, the right time and at the right temperature, the Shteba should turn off completely, and not heat further.
Marina! Have you ever tried not to turn on the heating at all? Then after all, in theory, after the program, it should immediately disconnect altogether. How did she behave in these cases?
lana light
Marpl, have you tried to correct the silicone O-ring? I, too, like everyone else, has a larger gap on the left. But the pressure builds up normally, does not poison. One day the ring moved a little to the side and really hissed, etched from the side. I turned off the program, straightened the ring and everything was fine!
As for the fact that the heating did not turn on under the conditions you set - maybe you just read the instructions poorly or pressed the button weakly? No offense, okay ?! I know from myself that sometimes I either forget to press the start or press badly, and then I wonder - why is it Shtebik squeaking ?!
I suppose that if you select the heating parameters, but do not confirm them, then the set mode will simply be executed with heating autotuning 70 * С 4 hours.
In the thread above, one of the girls boasted that they received a new model and that the heating setting works there.
It is a pity that you have not grown together with Shteba! I just had love at first sight !!! I boast of her to everyone!
Rick
I wanted to write the same thing as lana light, took it straight from the tongue. It seems that Marina still not fully understood. And I had steam in the same way, only in the front. Then it turned out that the ring had come off. And once in general, a beetroot tail between the pan and the lid fell, so my husband and I until we figured it out
Masha Ivanova
Girls! Who has the latest version of Shteba 2XL? Please respond! How are things going with the heating? I remember that in the thread, several owners of the new version said that they bought it. And please tell me in which store you bought yours and when.
Marpl
Girls, my pressure cooker is not my first, but the third one and I know how to use them, as well as correctly install silicone rings. Everything was installed and the lid was closed correctly, but this is the result. I always read the manuals. Attached to the manual was a leaflet with instructions on how to set the temperature and heating time yourself. That I decided to check, I did everything right, but this result suits me.

Forgive me, maybe I’ll say something wrong, but I didn’t quite understand .. After all, 15 minutes after the end of cooking, the temperature could not reach 50 degrees! Or I didn’t catch the logic. Why assign deliberately unattainable parameters?

And with this heating setting, does the screen display the real temperature? Or is it writing the given parameters?
Marpl
I did not test specifically the temperature - I needed to turn off the heating after the set time of the cartoon, and not set the standard heating time again.
